Sabbath  17/06/49/120

Dear Friends

Today is the Third Sabbath of the Sixth Month, Elul. We will continue the study of the books of Samuel and this week we deal with 2Samuel Part 1 (No. F010).  One of the many lessons we can draw from this study is that of the importance of interaction with God. Without prayer to God our achievements are as nothing.

This Sixth Month has been a time of trial for many of the brethren and we have seen many prayer requests and we have heard from grateful recipients of those prayers reporting improvements and healings.

Jas 5:15-16  and the prayer of faith will save the sick man, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. 16 Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man has great power in its effects.

Lk. 1:37 says: For with God nothing will be impossible.
Also see Acts 17:27-28 and the paper The Power of Prayer (No. 111C).

We are blessed in that we can come “boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need” Heb. 4:16.

So brethren, let us walk with God and talk with God whenever and wherever we can.

We are looking forward to the Feast of Tabernacles and the Reading of the Law, and  catching up with family and friends. We pray that this will be a time of rest, recuperation and renewed spiritual understanding of the Law and the way we should go.
