Passover 42/120

Dear Friends,

We are now at the Feast of the Passover of the 42nd Year of the 120th Jubilee.  We are now to go into the Lord’s Supper (No. 103) on the night of 14 Abib with the Footwashing (No. 099) and the Bread and the Wine (100) then on the afternoon at 3pm we will hold the commemorative service of the Death of the Lamb (No.242) and take the Feast Offering following before dark.

We will then go on to the Passover (No. 098) Feast on the Night of Observation. It is this Night of Observation that the church and Israel before it kept in anticipation of the Sacrifice of the Messiah in Jerusalem, firstly in Jerusalem on 5 April 30 CE as is explained in the paper Timing of the Crucifixion and the Resurrection (No. 159).  Many things that were done in Jerusalem for the death of Christ and his resurrection were symbolic of the future events on his return. The opening of the eyes of the blind men at Jericho before Christ began the cleansing of the Temple represented the enlightenment of the Gentiles in  Palestine and among the “Jews” and among the Arabs before the final operations at the return (cf. Matthew 20:29-21:11 and Fall of Jericho (No. 142)); (More of this at the Feast). The Sanctification system also took place in the time prior to his sacrifice (cf. also Cleansing of the Temple (No. 241B)).

On the First Day of the week or Sunday within the Feast we celebrate the Wave Sheaf Offering (No. 106B) in commemoration of Christ’s acceptance at the Throne of God and his granting of the Holy Spirit to convey to mankind on his return that afternoon. On his return he continued for Forty Days before his final ascension (cf. Forty Days Following Christ’s Resurrection (No. 159A)). The Wave Sheaf Offering on the Sunday at 9am began the Omer Count to Pentecost (No. 173) which was kept 50 Days later at 9am on the Sunday in the Feast of Weeks.

The Feast of Unleavened Bread is kept for Seven Days from the 15th to the 21st of Abib and the entire feast is kept outside of our gates (Deut. 16:5-8). We are not permitted to go back to work and if we do not keep this feast and eat unleavened bread for seven days following the Lord’s Supper and keep the full eight days we are cut off from Israel and we will be placed in the Second Resurrection and the Great White Throne Judgment (No. 143B).

It is important that we understand and keep this feast correctly in order to be in the First Resurrection (No. 143A). For the Lord’s Supper and the Feast is the Second Sacrament of the church after baptism and is essential to Salvation and retention in the Kingdom of God.

Those who have kept the Feast for the full eight days and correctly must go through the Sanctification process and the Fast of the Seventh Abib as was done by Christ and the Apostles and the entire church for centuries.  It is in this way that we spread the umbrella over the Simple and Erroneous of our people so that they can remain under the protection of God.

It is through the faithful that we are able to retain the role of the Church of God in the final Philadelphian system (cf. Pillars of Philadelphia (No. 283)).

Use the Passover to study carefully and prepare our people for the Messiah. Let nothing go to waste.  Those that are new study diligently and take all of the sequence in and let nothing be lost of the lessons of the faith.
