Sabbath 6/11/27/120
This Sabbath we are directing the message more directly at the people of the Indian Ocean rim as well as to the other areas of the world.
Many people in South and Southeast Asia are asking the question: “Why did God allow this to happen to us?” There are a hundred thousand dead and missing in Indonesia alone. Most are Muslims. Over forty thousand Hindus and Buddhists are dead or missing. Many of the Animist tribes are diminished. Some groups are exterminated. Some were not touched. Does that mean God was against some and spared others?
If you are an Atheist and claim that God does not exist and that this is merely the process of the natural shrinking and movement of the earth, then there is no real conflict. That is why the philosophical Buddhists are claiming that it is a natural process. But that is not what the Buddha said and that is not what the Theravadins believe. They constitute the majority of the southern Buddhist systems and their Tantric and Animistic offshoots. The Law of the Dharma precludes such a conclusion. Moreover, the structure is of itself illusory and the inherent philosophical and logical contradictions become exposed.
The Southern Buddhists believe, as a general rule, that these catastrophes reflect the disfavour in which the supernatural forces view the nations and their leaders, at the time. That is why the Myanmar regime closed the press coverage of the event in Myanmar, as it would be a direct reflection on them. The newspaper coverage in the year before the coup in Indonesia and the emergence of the Suharto regime after the 30 September movement was reviewed. The newspapers were constantly reporting signs and lights and indications of the supernatural forces in the atmosphere. This same concept is derived from the Animist past of Asia. It embraces and influences all of the religions there. The religions claim to be Muslim, or Buddhist, or Hindu, but in reality they are of the basic Animist system of their ancestors and their religion is Kebatinan or Mysticism. We had to laugh over a defence printed in an East Malaysian newspaper of a man accused of cannibalism after murder. His explanation was simple. He had to eat part of the man’s liver after he killed him. Everyone knows that. He was theoretically Muslim in a Muslim country, but he was anything but Muslim. He was an Animist enmeshed in the spirit world.
Similarly we have been amused at watching pilgrims bring back bottles of water to Java from Mecca after the Haj. The Prophet would turn over in his grave at the thought of Holy Water, which came from the worship of the goddess Dercato, being used in Islam. Mysticism is everywhere. The minarets on the mosques reflect the phallic symbols of Baal and the goddess. Nothing is free of it. Islam does not have the idols of the Buddhists, but they have the Asherah of Baal and Ishtar, or Ashteroth, on their temples like the idols they represent. They may as well carve idols in stone and erect them in the centre of prayer as they once did in the Ka’abah.
The Hindus do not even make a pretence about it. They have statues of Hanuman the monkey god along their rivers, and temples to monkeys and snakes, and idols to seemingly almost anything the human mind can conceive. Their beliefs came from an amalgam of the Indus ancestor worship and the systems of the Aryans from the Genesis account after the conquest ca 1000 BCE. Their origins are to be found in the work Mysticism (B7) and especially Mysticism B7_1 and Mysticism B7_6 .
This concept of Liberation Theology of reincarnation is a religious system of the Aryans. It came into Europe via the Celts, who have carried it entrenched in the superstitions of their women from generation to generation taught at the cradle.
So who is God mad at? Do we take a measuring stick or calculator and add up the dead? On a body count, God is mad at Islam at present, but the Hindus are not far behind, and the Buddhists a close third.
The Javanese might be tempted to announce that the Wahyu Kedaton or spirit
force of Aceh and its people has been struck and that the Indonesian Republic
is intact and the separatist movement has been judged. Some might even stretch
it to Allah who has written it in fatalist script on the halls of the future.
The Separatists are hard at work right now recruiting in the camps of the homeless
to continue the struggle and win the minds of the dispossessed. “Freedom is
just another word for nothing left to lose,” or so the song rings out.
The Jews did not lose many this time and so they might be tempted to crow as well, but it is only sixty years from the Holocaust so we had better not hear much from that quarter (See www.holocaust-revealed.org). In fact, one of their senior rabbis offended all and sundry by saying that God had reincarnated all the sinful Jews of the past so that they could be punished in the Holocaust. The Bible is quite clear that the only reincarnation is the Resurrection. The Second Resurrection of the dead is, among all others, of the Israelites who have not been part of the Church of God and who are sinners resurrected to judgment and correction (see the paper The Resurrection of the Dead (No.143)).
What we have heard is the offensive babbling of the Trinitarian Christians in the west who have seen this as divine judgment over the attacks on them by Islam.
The entire matter requires some logical metaphysical examination. If there is a God, and Islam and Hinduism cannot deny that premise, (but Buddhism would seek to negate the concept), then He either allowed the disaster to happen or He caused it to happen.
If He caused it to happen, then He is directly intervening to punish the areas and particularly the coastal people in this matter.
If He did not cause it to happen, then He was indifferent to its happening, and therefore some conclusions can be drawn from that fact also.
God says he does nothing except that He warns the people through His servants the prophets. God did not speak directly to the people of Aceh before He allowed 100,000 of their people to die. He did speak to the people through His servants the prophets. Aceh was the first place Islam was to take root in what is now Indonesia (see the paper Mysticism (B7_9). Indonesia is also numerically and nominally the largest single Muslim nation. However, they are not true to the faith, as Christianity is not true to the faith, and as Judaism is not true to the faith.
Islam does not accept the baptism of Allah’, contrary to the Koran. They do not keep the Sabbaths and the New Moons and the Law, contrary to the Bible and the Koran. They do not follow the Bible and keep the Scriptures according to the Koran. Thus, God has no obligation to intervene on their behalf, save through His servants the prophets to warn them again. Perhaps this time they might listen (see the paper The Koran on the Bible, the Law and the Covenant (No.83 ))
Hinduism is directly contrary to the Laws of God as expressed in the Bible. However, it suffered less than the Muslims. So, can we argue that God is punishing the Muslims more directly that the Hindus this time? Or did He allow the deaths of so many Muslims this time to wake them up before the world gets more of the same?
The real answer is that God has spoken and He has warned the nations of what is to come to pass. There are a series of instructions as to what is to happen over the sequence of the years now until the coming of the Messiah. It is the responsibility of the Church of God to explain that sequence and those prophecies.
Islam, Christianity and Hinduism all believe in the sequence of the ages. The Hindus believe that the next avatar of the god will be in the age of Kali. He comes on a white horse as the destroyer. This aspect is covered in the work Mysticism (see especially Mysticism B7_6). Thus, in a sense, all three share a similar expectation.
What was a matter of amazing indifference was the parsimonious response of the wealthy oil states of Islam to the needs of their fellow Muslims, contrary to the express direction of the faith. The aid recently promised to Indonesia by the Muslim world was less than that promised by Australia, a non-Muslim nation of far less economic power. Underlying all that reaction are the concepts of Mysticism and Fatalism that has hamstrung Islam for centuries.
Some time ago, before the invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq, we told of those events in papers and the Sabbath Messages. In one of the sermon tapes the time of the invasion of the Middle East was mentioned. The problems that were to be experienced by the US were explained. All those things have come or are coming to pass.
The failure of the planning and operational systems of the US is galvanising an opposing force of radical Islam that is increasing daily. There are now more irregular forces and dedicated insurgents in Iraq than there are Allied troops on the ground, and it is getting worse. Moreover, these people are prepared to die. What the US people do not know is that the disaffection between the US Military and the White House is getting serious. The war will get more serious as the days go on and will escalate into very serious hostilities that will cause the galvanising of forces in all theatres.
From this invasion without a plan, a nightmare will emerge that will shake the world.
Meanwhile, the European Union is forcing an ever-increasing amalgamation of nations into a war machine that will ultimately occupy the Middle East. The problems we see in South Asia will seem to pale into insignificance.
The Ukrainian election was a pivotal stage in the forcing of the southern Soviets of Georgia and the Ukraine into Europe, and ultimately the Russians will be left with no choice. The Muslim nations are thus faced with a coalescing power on their doors.
Is God not intervening in any of this? No! All these things are allowed so that God might bring about the outcome of His plan of the Last Days.
So are 200,000 people but the beginning of sorrows? Yes! The army that marches to the valley of Megiddo is twice ten thousand times ten thousand, or 200,000,000. A third of the world will die in this madness and that is but part of the destruction.
The earth is beginning to groan under the duress of the insanity of the fallen host and the leaders of a corrupt world. The chances are that the earthquakes are being assisted by the intervention of the unbalanced rulers of the planet and the wickedness in high places. The Chinese Communist leadership began a campaign of underground explosions when they lost the bid for the Olympics previously. They detonated massive explosions designed to destabilise the crust and cause earthquakes so that the world would not frustrate their attempts at using the Olympics for political gain. Well they did that all right. But the West is playing the same game. The use of detonations for alleged oil exploration is reportedly or seemingly causing the disruption of the navigation systems and hearing of whales and causing massive numbers of them to beach. The US systems in Alaska are seemingly also part of this problem and may be destabilising the crust. Moreover, Global Warming is also adding to the tectonic plate uplift by reducing the weight distribution of the ice sheets on the landmasses.
The increasing freshwater in the Arctic is stalling the ocean current systems. Freezes in Europe and El Ninos in the Pacific, and thus there will be more problems for Asia as well. Droughts will increase as we are already seeing.
In short, it is not going to get better and it will get worse. Do not rebuild near the shorelines where tsunamis can destroy what you have done. Do not continue in what you are doing but repent and turn to the Laws of God. Seek out the followers of the Book as the prophet commanded you. Take the baptism of Allah’ and follow the Law.
You so-called Christians, do not be self-righteous because you are not perfect in the sight of God. You cry aloud but do nothing of what He tells you to do through the Law and the Testimony.
Do not destroy the world with the insanity of its leaders. Turn to God and
love one another. None of this need happen. Turn to God and repent. Keep the
Law of God and the faith and Testimony of the Messiah.
