Summary:

Are We on the Right Path?

(Edition 1.0 20001126-20001126)

God has given a direction to His kingdom and it is up to each of us to stay on the right path if we want to get there. Jesus said: "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but by me" (Jn 14:6).

Are We on the Right Path?

There is not a lot one can do to summarize or simplify this delightful paper which is in the catalogue on the web, as it shows very clearly what is required of a person who wishes to enter the Kingdom of God and the path to choose, for that desired entry.

Acceptance of the Bible, the Word of God, as the authoritative basis for our conduct in life, and accepting all the words and all the commandments as binding, puts us on the right path in God’s eyes.

Jesus’ own words tell us He is the Way, and that no one can come to the Father, but by Him. He also says in John 14:15 "If you love me, keep my commandments". If we keep these laws we show we love Him and then God the Father will love us.

Our eternal enemy, and the archenemy of Christ, is Satan. His way – the way of the world has much glamour and attraction to draw us from the narrow path which leads to eternal life. Scripture shows there are many who follow the way of Satan. It is a broad and easy path – but leads to death.

We have a shepherd in Christ, we listen to His voice, He is the gate through which we can enter onto His way. And He leads us as the Good Shepherd that He is.

God the Father tells us we will have trials, but He will never leave us or forsake us. This assurance of His help keeps us from depression and discouragement, the tools of Satan.

We can help others in their search for the right path. A timely word, a kindly example, telling the address of the web site can lead them to the right choice.

Jesus loves us and we are happy to share the right path and the way with others.
