Surah 16 “The Bee”

(Edition 2.0 20170815-20200511)

Surah 16 is a message to the idolaters of Becca/Petra, Mecca and Arabia generally to keep the Covenant of God and the attendant commandments with them. The name and the symbolism of the Bee is to deal with the mother goddess system there, under the worship of Hubal and the goddess.

Commentary on the Koran: Surah 16 “The Bee”

Pickthall’s translation. All Bible verses are from the English Standard Version unless otherwise identified.

Introduction

The Surah An-Nahl “The Bee” derives its name from verses 68ff. referring to the Bee and its activities and produce. The sequence refers to the providence of God in the creation and the provision of all produce, including strong drink such as wine and mead in the creation.  His guidance is necessary to mankind in managing the creation and its rejection is as unwise as rejecting food and drink.

The Surah is ascribed to the last Beccan group but some authorities ascribe verses 1-40 to Becca and the later verses as being from Al-Madinah. The only verse that is of evident Madinan origin is verse 110. Here the Muslims were recorded as having fought.

In the Beccan period the Muslims were constrained from fighting. Many of the Beccan period were forced to flee and take refuge in Abyssinia (cf. Pickthall). There was a strong Sabbatarian church there from the Fourth century under Archbishop Meuses (see the paper General Distribution of the Sabbath-keeping Churches (No. 122)).

However, their very survival depended on their taking up arms from the Hijrah in 622 and it became more and more necessary for their survival.  However, their dominance emerged from this military change in doctrine and thus the latter section from verse 110 and perhaps many others had to be from 2 AH (623/4CE) and thus Medinan.

The Surah follows on from Surah 15 Al Hijr as a continuation of the warning to the Arab peoples and all who follow them. The Semites were all warned from the prophets down from Hud and Salih to the A’ad and Thamud and to Lot and Abraham to Sodom and Gomorrah, and then through Moses and the Biblical prophets and on to Messiah and the Apostles who warned them all, as we see in the many previous Surahs.

They, and the idolatrous Churches of God, are now to be warned again for the last time in this work and then they will be dealt with by the Witnesses, Enoch and Elijah, and then by the Messiah himself immediately afterwards (cf. The Witnesses (including the Two Witnesses (No. 135)).

The primary warning of the Surah comes to those of Mecca and the idolatry centred there. The warnings may well have produced the conflict that forced the Hijrah. The warning is at first an exaltation of the One True God Eloah above the elohim. There is no room for Binitarianism or Ditheism or Trinitarianism in this text as in all others in the Koran.

The worship of the god Baal and the goddess Ashtoreth or Easter was taken to Mecca in 699 CE from Becca/Petra as the god Hubal or “The Baal” meaning “the Lord” and centred on the Ka’aba with the 360 idols of the rulers of the day in the prophetic year. It was also associated originally with child sacrifice (cf. Binitarian and Trinitarian Misrepresentation of the Early Theology of the Godhead (No. 127B)).

The Bee is the symbol of the Mother Goddess. The Surah strikes at the idolatry associated with that system in the Levant and centred on Syria and in Becca/Petra and later Mecca from 699 CE with the god Baal or Hubal and the goddess there.

At Ephesus the many-breasted goddess Artemis was attended by Essene (meaning King Bees) who remained celibate during their period of service even though some were married. This is probably the reason Pliny referred to the community at Qumran as Essene. They would have rejected this label. Celibacy of the clergy entered Christianity from Gnosticism and these cults. The term Father was a rank of the Mithras system and was actually forbidden by Jesus Christ to be applied to Christians (Mat. 23:9). Hence why Qasim had to be incorrectly named or as a Nestorian firstly (as Abu Qasim) and then Sabbatarian.

The females of the Ishtar cult were not celibate but promiscuous. Artemis and Diana were both patrons of fertility and fruit trees. It seems that Artemis and Diana were associated as the same deity and hence the crowd at Acts cried Great is Diana of Ephesus, when in fact the ancient name in Ephesus was Artemis, and Diana was the name used elsewhere.

Dionysius was also god of fruit trees and we begin to see an intertwined relationship in these fertility and Mystery cults.

As Queen of May, the Mother goddess, was representative of the spirit of vegetation. This was prevalent in Europe and Britain.

The Mother goddess was also goddess of the corn (a term for any grain).

See also the papers on Origins of Christmas and Easter (No. 235) and Article on Christmas and Easter (No. 236).

However, many Essene priests were celibate (some were eunuchs) and also abstemious and the Surah identifies this aspect and points out that the grapes were made for strong drink and the Bee itself produces strong drink (as Mead). It is from this idolatry and the desire to undermine the Lord’s Supper, Bread and Wine and the Passover that this custom of abstinence has become part of the idolatrous rituals of Hadithic Islam. See also the paper Wine in the Bible (No. 188) and also Vegetarianism and the Bible (No. 183).

So also the Mosques that originated from Becca/Petra and then after the move to Mecca from 699 and the Revolution of 751 CE and around the world were symbolic of the idolatry of the Baal and Easter or Ashtoreth systems. The rooves of the Mosques were shaped as the Breasts of the goddess and the Minarets were shaped as the Phallus of the god Hubal. Initially they were the symbols of the crescent of the horns of the Moon God Qamar or Sin on the breasts of the sun goddess Shams with the star of the goddess as Venus. They are there to this day and on their flags. These were also represented by, or as, the bens or Ben Bens of the obelisks in Egypt. These were also central or world poles of the fertility cults and are prohibited by Eloah in Scripture. So also were the Asherah or poles of the goddess. They were spread from the Sidonians to the Arabian Desert and Mecca (cf. 1Kgs. 11:33; 2Kgs. 23:13).

As is usual in ancient pagan animism the idol or world tree, acting as the Axis Mundi, was used as the centre of worship in which the devotees circumambulated in sequences of five or seven or nine as decreed. In Mecca the circumambulations of the Ka’aba were seven in the worship of Hubal and the only thing that has changed in all these centuries is that the 360 idols have been removed (although retained symbolically in architecture surrounding the Ka’aba). The Ka’aba is still there and the devotees still do seven circumambulations and they also proceed to the stoning of Satan in ritual. Many are often killed during these pagan rituals that are still carried on under the guise of Islam, which they are not. These aspects are explained in the work Mysticism Chapter 1 (B7_1).

*****

There is only one True God Eloah. The Elohim are His sons as His creation of which He is Ha Elohim. (Job 1:6; 2:1; 38:4-7; Deut. 32:8; Prov. 30:4-5). He sends the elohim as messengers to mankind. The Holy Spirit instructs the prophets from within.

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

16.1. The commandment of Allah will come to pass, so seek not ye to hasten it. Glorified and Exalted be He above all that they associate (with Him).

16.2. He sendeth down the angels with the Spirit of His command unto whom He will of His bondmen, (saying): Warn mankind that there is no God save Me, so keep your duty unto Me.

Refer also to 2Peter 3:9; Habakkuk 2:3 and Psalm 97:9 in Commentary on the Koran: Surah 10 (No. Q010).  Islam is warned to obey the messengers and avoid idolatry.

Numbers 15:31 Because he has despised the word of the LORD and has broken his commandment, that person shall be utterly cut off; his iniquity shall be on him."

Joshua 22:5 Only be very careful to observe the commandment and the law that Moses the servant of  the LORD commanded you, to love the LORD your God, and to walk in all his ways and to keep his commandments and to cling to him and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul."

1Samuel 12:14 If you will fear the LORD and serve him and obey his voice and not rebel against the commandment of the LORD, and if both you and the king who reigns over you will follow the LORD your God, it will be well.

Job 23:12 I have not departed from the commandment of his lips; I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my portion of food.

Proverbs 19:16 Whoever keeps the commandment keeps his life; he who despises his ways will die.

John 12:50 And I know that his commandment is eternal life. What I say, therefore, I say as the Father has told me."

1John 3:23 And this is his commandment, that we believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, just as he has commanded us.

1John 4:21 And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.

2John 1:6 And this is love, that we walk according to his commandments; this is the commandment,  just as you have heard from the beginning, so that you should walk in it.

16.3. He hath created the heavens and the earth with truth. High be He Exalted above all that they

associate (with Him).

Romans 1:19-25 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. 20For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. 21For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22Claiming to be wise, they became fools, 23and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things. 24Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, 25because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.

Refer to Psalm 97:9 in Commentary on the Koran: Surah 10 (No. Q010).

16.4. He hath created man from a drop of fluid, yet behold! he is an open opponent.

Genesis 1:26-27 Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." 27So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

Numbers 21:5 And the people spoke against God and against Moses, "Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no food and no water, and we loathe this worthless food."

16.5. And the cattle hath He created, whence ye have warm clothing and uses, and whereof ye eat;

16.6. And wherein is beauty for you, when ye bring them home, and when ye take them out to pasture.

16.7. And they bear your loads for you unto a land ye could not reach save with great trouble to yourselves. Lo! your Lord is Full of Pity, Merciful.

16.8. And horses and mules and asses (hath He created) that ye may ride them, and for ornament. And He createth that which ye know not.

Genesis 1:24-25 And God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures according to their kinds—livestock and creeping things and beasts of the earth according to their kinds." And it was so. 25And God made the beasts of the earth according to their kinds and the livestock according to their kinds, and everything that creeps on the ground according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

Genesis 1:29-30 And God said, "Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food. 30And to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the heavens and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food." And it was so.

Psalm 86:15 But You, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, Slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness and truth. (NASB)

16.9. And Allah's is the direction of the way, and some (roads) go not straight. And had He willed He would have led you all aright.

The “Way” is the name of the faith in the early centuries as well as the entities being named “the “Church of God” or Churches of God. The Way is set by God and He sent Messiah as the Way by which we might reach God, as sons of God (Jn. 14:6).

The name of the Church is found in the Bible as the Church of God in the singular (Acts 20:28; 1Cor. 1:2; 1Cor. 11:22; 1Cor. 15:9; 2Cor. 1:1; Gal. 1:13; 1Tim. 3:5). Groupings of the ecclesia in the plural are known as the Churches of God (1Thes. 2:14; 2Thes. 1:4). The general terms extend to the Household of God, which is identified as the Church of the Living God (1Tim. 3:15). The Church is referred to also as the Assembly or Church of the Firstborn (Heb. 12:23), the Household of Faith (Gal. 6:10) and the Churches of the Gentiles (Rom. 16:4).

Sometimes Paul refers to the Churches of Christ (Rom. 16:16; Gal. 1:22); however, nowhere is the Church referred to as the Church of Christ (singular). The plural Churches of Christ is a generic term used by Paul to the Romans and Galatians and means the Churches in Christ. They are also known as the Churches of the Saints (1Cor. 14:33).

There is no doubt, however, that Paul, Luke and the Apostles generally understood the title of the Church to be the Church of God when it is applied to the specific Church in individual locations, no matter where placed. This title is normally followed by the distinction of the name of the location. This is expressed as the Church of God in or at a particular location (e.g. The Church of God in Canberra). These generic titles have the same effect as the titles Churches of Galatia, etc. (e.g. Gal. 1:2).

All of these titles refer to the end result, which is the Kingdom of God (Jn. 3:5; Lk. 22:16; Acts 28:23,31). By delegation, this title is extended as the Kingdom of God’s dear son (Col. 1:13). We do not enter a Church on baptism – we enter the Kingdom of God. The elect become part of the Church (as the Body of Christ).

The grouping of the Churches as an apostolic conference is termed the Churches of God. The Churches are the Body of Christ. The Faith is termed The Way, and the Churches in the New Covenant era are appropriately termed the Christian Churches of God (at location). (cf. Formation of the Church (No. 068)). The faith in General is termed the Surrender to God or Al Islam in the Arabic. Without the Scriptures even simple terms in the Koran cannot be understood in context.

Exodus 15:26 saying, "If you will diligently listen to the voice of the LORD your God, and do that which is right in his eyes, and give ear to his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you that I put on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, your healer."

16.10. He it is Who sendeth down water from the sky, whence ye have drink, and whence are trees on which ye send your beasts to pasture.

16.11. Therewith He causeth crops to grow for you, and the olive and the date-palm and grapes and all kinds of fruit. Lo! herein is indeed a portent for people who reflect.

16.12. And He hath constrained the night and the day and the sun and the moon to be of service unto you, and the stars are made subservient by His command. Lo! herein indeed are portents for people who have sense.

16.13. And whatsoever He hath created for you in the earth of divers hues, lo! therein is indeed a portent for people who take heed.

16.14. And He it is Who hath constrained the sea to be of service that ye eat fresh meat from thence, and bring forth from thence ornaments which ye wear. And thou seest the ships ploughing it that ye (mankind) may seek of His bounty and that haply ye may give thanks.

16.15. And He hath cast into the earth firm hills that it quake not with you, and streams and roads that ye may find a way.

16.16. And landmarks (too), and by the star they find a way.

16.17. Is He then Who createth as him who createth not? Will ye not then remember?

Daniel 2:20-22 Daniel answered and said: "Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, to whom belong wisdom and might. 21He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding; 22he reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him.

Matthew 10:29-31 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. 30But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. 31Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.

1Corinthians 4:5 Therefore do not pronounce judgment before the time, before the Lord comes, who will bring to light the things now hidden in darkness and will disclose the purposes of the heart. Then each one will receive his commendation from God.

16.20. Those unto whom they cry beside Allah created naught, but are themselves created.

16.21. (They are) dead, not living. And they know not when they will be raised.

Even the Messiah was not the object of prayer as he said. All prayer is to The One True God in Christ’s name.

All the prophets and the supposed saints to which they pray are dead and the saints know not with certainty to which resurrection or garden of paradise they are allotted.

Jeremiah 10:5-9 Their idols are like scarecrows in a cucumber field, and they cannot speak; they have to be carried, for they cannot walk. Do not be afraid of them, for they cannot do evil, neither is it in them to do good." 6There is none like you, O LORD; you are great, and your name is great in might. 7Who would not fear you, O King of the nations? For this is your due; for among all the wise ones of the nations and in all their kingdoms there is none like you.  8They are both stupid and foolish; the instruction of idols is but wood! 9Beaten silver is brought from Tarshish, and gold from Uphaz. They are the work of the craftsman and of the hands of the goldsmith; their clothing is violet and purple; they are all the work of skilled men.

Their condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.

16.28. Whom the angels cause to die while they are wronging themselves. Then will they make full submission (saying): We used not to do any wrong. Nay! Surely Allah is Knower of what ye used to do.

16.30. And it is said unto those who ward off (evil): What hath your Lord revealed? They say: Good. For those who do good in this world there is a good (reward) and the home of the Hereafter will be better. Pleasant indeed will be the home of those who ward off (evil) -

Luke 18:11-12 The Pharisee, standing by himself, prayed thus: 'God, I thank you that I am not like other men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. 12I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I get.'

James 1:25 But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing. (ESV)

The doers of the law will receive eternal life in the first garden of paradise whereas those who practise lawlessness face death until the end in the grave of Sheol or Hades and then corrective training during the Second Resurrection, and unless they repent they will die and be burned and thus ended forever (Rev. Ch. 20).

16.31. Gardens of Eden which they enter, underneath which rivers flow, wherein they have what they will. Thus Allah repayeth those who ward off (evil),

16.32. Those whom the angels cause to die (when they are) good. They say: Peace be unto you! Enter the Garden because of what ye used to do.

Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years.

Hebrews 11:35-40 Women received back their dead by resurrection. Some were tortured, refusing to accept release, so that they might rise again to a better life. 36Others suffered mocking and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment. 37They were stoned, they were sawn in two, they were killed with the sword. They went about in skins of sheep and goats, destitute, afflicted, mistreated— 38of whom the world was not worthy—wandering about in deserts and mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth. 39And all these, though commended through their faith, did not receive what was promised,  40since God had provided something better for us, that apart from us they should not be made perfect.

16.33. Await they aught say that the angels should come unto them or thy Lord's command should come to pass? Even so did those before them. Allah wronged them not, but they did wrong themselves,

16.34. So that the evils of what they did smote them, and that which they used to mock surrounded them.

16.35. And the idolaters say: Had Allah willed, we had not worshipped aught beside Him, we and our fathers, nor had we forbidden aught without (command from) Him. Even so did those before them. Are the messengers charged with aught save plain conveyance (of the message)?

16.36. And verily We have raised in every nation a messenger, (proclaiming): Serve Allah and shun false gods. Then some of them (there were) whom Allah guided, and some of them (there were) upon whom error had just hold. Do but travel in the land and see the nature of the consequence for the deniers!

1Kings 18:21-24 And Elijah came near to all the people and said, "How long will you go limping between two different opinions? If the LORD is God, follow him; but if Baal, then follow him." And the people did not answer him a word.  22Then Elijah said to the people, "I, even I only, am left a prophet of the LORD, but Baal's prophets are 450 men.  23Let two bulls be given to us, and let them choose one bull for themselves and cut it in pieces and lay it on the wood, but put no fire to it. And I will prepare the other bull and lay it on the wood and put no fire to it. 24And you call upon the name of your god, and I will call upon the name of the LORD, and the God who answers by fire, he is God." And all the people answered, "It is well spoken."

2Corinthians 11:4 For if someone comes and proclaims another Jesus than the one we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or if you accept a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it readily enough.

Refer also to John 12:40 in Commentary on the Koran: Surah 10 (No. Q010). God guides whom He wills.

Refer also to Surah 10.47 (above):  And for every nation there is a messenger. And when their messenger cometh (on the Day of Judgment) it will be judged between them fairly, and they will not be wronged.

Those who reject the warning of the messenger reap the  consequences of their evil deeds.

16.37. Even if thou (O Muhammad) desirest their right guidance, still Allah assuredly will not guide him who misleadeth. Such have no helpers.

16.38. And they swear by Allah their most binding oaths (that) Allah will not raise up him who dieth. Nay, but it is a promise (binding) upon Him in truth, but most of mankind know not,

16.39. That He may explain unto them that wherein they differ, and that those who disbelieved may know that they were liars.

Liars and false teachers are rejected by God. So also are those that deny the Scriptures.  Scripture cannot be broken (Jn. 10:34-36).

Acts 8:9-24 But there was a man named Simon, who had previously practiced magic in the city and amazed the people of Samaria, saying that he himself was somebody great. 10They all paid attention to him, from the least to the greatest, saying, "This man is the power of God that is called Great." 11And they paid attention to him because for a long time he had amazed them with his magic. 12But when they believed Philip as he preached good news about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. 13Even Simon himself believed, and after being baptized he continued with Philip. And seeing signs and great miracles performed, he was amazed.  14Now when the apostles at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent to them Peter and John, 15who came down and prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit, 16for he had not yet fallen on any of them, but they had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 17Then they laid their hands on them and they received the Holy Spirit. 18Now when Simon saw that the Spirit was given through the laying on of the apostles' hands, he offered them money,  19saying, "Give me this power also, so that anyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit." 20But Peter said to him, "May your silver perish with you, because you thought you could obtain the gift of God with money! 21You have neither part nor lot in this matter, for your heart is not right before God. 22Repent, therefore, of this wickedness of yours, and pray to the Lord that, if possible, the intent of your heart may be forgiven you. 23For I see that you are in the gall of bitterness and in the bond of iniquity." 24And Simon answered, "Pray for me to the Lord, that nothing of what you have said may come upon me."

There thus must be baptism and the laying on of hands for receipt of the Holy Spirit. It may be withheld on the instructions of the baptising authority and only the baptism itself performed and the laying on of hands performed later.

Daniel 12:2 And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. (ESV)

All differences will be cleared up when disbelievers are raised in the Second Resurrection to face re-education and corrective training to lead them to repentance.

16.40. And Our word unto a thing, when We intend it, is only that We say unto it: Be! and it is.

Thus the creation by divine fiat as the power of God and He creates the sons of God by divine fiat as He wills. So also is it with man who desires salvation.

Numbers 30:2 If a man vows a vow to the LORD, or swears an oath to bind himself by a pledge, he shall not break his word. He shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth.

God Almighty speaks the word and the desired thing comes into existence (cf. Genesis 1:3,6,9). He spoke the word and Christ came to be in the womb of Mariam and the elect will be also (as per Surahs 2 and 3 above).

16.41. And those who became fugitives for the cause of Allah after they had been oppressed, We verily shall give them goodly lodging in the world, and surely the reward of the Hereafter is greater, if they but knew;

16.42. Such as are steadfast and put their trust in Allah.

16.43. And We sent not (as Our messengers) before thee other than men whom We inspired - Ask the followers of the Remembrance if ye know not! –

16.44. With clear proofs and writings; and We have revealed unto thee the Remembrance that thou mayst explain to mankind that which hath been revealed for them, and that haply they may reflect.

16.45. Are they who plan ill-deeds then secure that Allah will not cause the earth to swallow them, or that the doom will not come on them whence they know not?

2Peter 1:20-21 But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one's own interpretation, 21for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God. (ESV)

16.46. Or that He will not seize them in their going to and fro so that there be no escape for them?

16.47. Or that He will not seize them with a gradual wasting? Lo! thy Lord is indeed Full of Pity, Merciful.

Leviticus 26:14-16 "But if you will not listen to me and will not do all these commandments, 15if you spurn my statutes, and if your soul abhors my rules, so that you will not do all my commandments, but break my covenant, 16 then I will do this to you: I will visit you with panic, with wasting disease and fever that consume the eyes and make the heart ache. And you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.

Deuteronomy 28:20-22 "The LORD will send on you curses, confusion, and frustration in all that you undertake to do, until you are destroyed and perish quickly on account of the evil of your deeds, because you have forsaken me. 21The LORD will make the pestilence stick to you until he has consumed you off the land that you are entering to take possession of it. 22The LORD will strike you with wasting disease and with fever, inflammation and fiery heat, and with drought and with blight and with mildew. They shall pursue you until you perish.

Psalm 106:13-15 But they soon forgot his works; they did not wait for his counsel. 14But they had a wanton craving in the wilderness, and put God to the test in the desert; 15he gave them what they asked, but sent a wasting disease among them.

16.48. Have they not observed all things that Allah hath created, how their shadows incline to the right and to the left, making prostration unto Allah, and they are lowly?

16.49. And unto Allah maketh prostration whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth of living creatures, and the angels (also) and they are not proud.

16.50. They fear their Lord above them, and do what they are bidden.

Revelation 4:8-11 And the four living creatures, each of them with six wings, are full of eyes all around and within, and day and night they never cease to say, "Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!" 9And whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to him who is seated on the throne, who lives forever and ever, 10the twenty-four elders fall down before him who is seated on the throne and worship him who lives forever and ever. They cast their crowns before the throne, saying,  11"Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created."

James 2:19 You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder!

Amen.

16.51. Allah hath said: Choose not two gods. There is only One God. So of Me, Me only, be in awe.

16.52. Unto Him belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth, and religion is His for ever. Will ye then fear any other than Allah?

John 17:3 And this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.

Jeremiah 10:10-11 But the LORD is the true God; he is the living God and the everlasting King. At his wrath the earth quakes, and the nations cannot endure his indignation.  11Thus shall you say to them: "The gods who did not make the heavens and the earth shall perish from the earth and from under the heavens."

1Thessalonians 1:9-10 For they themselves report concerning us the kind of reception we had among you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, 10and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.

1John 5:20-21 And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. 21Little children, keep yourselves from idols.

Thus we see that Christ is not the One True God Eloah but it is through Christ as mediator we are able to be at one with Eloah.

Exodus 32:1 When the people saw that Moses delayed to come down from the mountain, the people gathered themselves together to Aaron and said to him, "Up, make us gods who shall go before us. As for this Moses, the man who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him."

16.58. When if one of them receiveth tidings of the birth of a female, his face remaineth darkened, and he is wroth inwardly.

16.59. He hideth himself from the folk because of the evil of that whereof he hath had tidings, (asking himself): Shall he keep it in contempt, or bury it beneath the dust. Verily evil is their judgment.

This speaks of a cultural concept by the unconverted that the mother goddess system intrudes to the angelic Host in females. Also many have the idea by some that baby girls should be sacrificed to the god Hubal, while baby boys are to be raised as man. However, males were often sacrificed and the prophets father Abdullah narrowly avoided sacrifice to Hubal. One hundred camels were offered in his stead.

Ezekiel 20:31 When you present your gifts and offer up your children in fire, you defile yourselves with all your idols to this day. And shall I be inquired of by you, O house of Israel? As I live, declares the Lord GOD, I will not be inquired of by you.

16.60. For those who believe not in the Hereafter is an evil similitude, and Allah's is the Sublime Similitude. He is the Mighty, the Wise.

16.61. If Allah were to take mankind to task for their wrong-doing, he would not leave hereon a living creature, but He reprieveth them to an appointed term, and when their term cometh they cannot put (it) off an hour nor (yet) advance (it).

Such evildoers are destined to the Second Resurrection to face retraining to lead them to repentance and if they continue in their ways they will end up in the Lake of Fire.

16.63. By Allah, We verily sent messengers unto the nations before thee, but the devil made their deeds fairseeming unto them. So he is their patron this day, and theirs will be a painful doom.

16.65. Allah sendeth down water from the sky and therewith reviveth the earth after her death. Lo! herein is indeed a portent for a folk who hear.

After the flood which represented the baptism of Noah and family, the rain represents the Holy Spirit. The oil and wine are physical terms for the physical covenant pointing towards the spiritual terms for the Holy Spirit of the spiritual covenant.

Deuteronomy 11:14 he will give the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the later rain, that you may gather in your grain and your wine and your oil.

Deuteronomy 28:12 The LORD will open to you his good treasury, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hands. And you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.

Jeremiah 5:24 They do not say in their hearts, 'Let us fear the LORD our God, who gives the rain in its season, the autumn rain and the spring rain, and keeps for us the weeks appointed for the harvest.'

Zechariah 10:1 Ask rain from the LORD in the season of the spring rain, from the LORD who makes the storm clouds, and he will give them showers of rain, to everyone the vegetation in the field.

Revelation 6:6 And I heard what seemed to be a voice in the midst of the four living creatures, saying, "A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius, and do not harm the oil and wine!"

16.66. And lo! in the cattle there is a lesson for you. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, from betwixt the refuse and the blood, pure milk palatable to the drinkers.

The milk represents or refers to the primary teachings of the oracles of God in Scripture which are given to those called to God by His word. Once they are baptised and given more understanding they are ready for the pure word of Scripture in prophecy.

Hebrews 5:12-13 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of God. You need milk, not solid food, 13for everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, since he is a child.

16.67. And of the fruits of the date-palm, and grapes, whence ye derive strong drink and (also) good nourishment. Lo! therein is indeed a portent for people who have sense.

Ayat 67 speaks of the solid food of the deeper things of God that feeds the growth of the Holy Spirit.

Hebrews 5:14 But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.

Matthew 4:4 But he answered, "It is written, "'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.'"

The problem of Modern Islam is that, in order to prevent the conversion of the idolaters at Mecca and in Arabia generally, they prohibited wine which destroyed the Lord’s Supper and the Feasts of God. Thus they were cut off from the Holy Spirit because they denied the flesh and blood of Messiah and the Bread and Wine of the Faith.

16.68. And thy Lord inspired the bee, saying: Choose thou habitations in the hills and in the trees and in that which they thatch;

16.69. Then eat of all fruits, and follow the ways of thy Lord, made smooth (for thee). There cometh forth from their bellies a drink divers of hues, wherein is healing for mankind. Lo! herein is indeed a portent for people who reflect.

This represents the gifts of the Holy Spirit symbolised by the different hues. Thus the symbol of the idolaters following the goddess was used to illustrate that it too, as well as the grape, produces strong drink and was to be used for that purpose and it was good.  Without the wine of the Lord’s Supper the advocate could not enter the Kingdom of God. “Unless ye eat my flesh and drink my blood you have no part in me” (cf. Mat. 26:28; Mk.14:24; Jn. 6:53-56). (See also Introduction above.)

Romans 12:6-8 Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; 7if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; 8the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.

1Corinthians 12:3-14 Therefore I want you to understand that no one speaking in the Spirit of God ever says "Jesus is accursed!" and no one can say "Jesus is Lord" except in the Holy Spirit.  4Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; 5and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; 6and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone.  7To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. 8For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit, 9to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit,  10to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. 11All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills. 12For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ.  13For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit. 14For the body does not consist of one member but of many.

1Corinthians 12:26-31 If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together. 27Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it. 28And God has appointed in the church first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, helping, administrating, and various kinds of tongues.  29Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles?  30Do all possess gifts of healing? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret?  31But earnestly desire the higher gifts. And I will show you a still more excellent way.

Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,  23gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

These gifts are symbolised by the diverse hues of the honey in this text.

16.70. And Allah createth you, then causeth you to die, and among you is he who is brought back to the most abject stage of life, so that he knoweth nothing after (having had) knowledge. Lo! Allah is Knower, Powerful.

Those that abandon the faith lose what knowledge they did have. Those who leave us are not of us for if they were of us, they would not have gone out from us (1Jn. 2:18-23). They are consigned to the Second Resurrection. Those who suffer a mental collapse by disease yet were faithful are retained and restored in the First Resurrection. God selects, and He excludes those not called. Thus forcing the retention of those in the faith runs contrary to the plan of God and is not of the faith. Thus Islam enforcing conversion by threat of death is contrary to the Will of God.

(cf. Romans 1:19-32 above)

1Samuel 2:6 The LORD kills and brings to life; he brings down to Sheol and raises up. (ESV)

1Corinthians 3:19 For the wisdom of this world is folly with God. For it is written, “He catches the wise in their craftiness,” (ESV)

When mankind is raised in the Second Resurrection they will be re-educated in right knowledge. The knowledge they acquired in their physical lives will have to be discarded. Almost all of Modern Islam will have to be retrained along with Binitarian and Trinitarian Christianity and all other religions.

16.71. And Allah hath favoured some of you above others in provision. Now those who are more favoured will by no means hand over their provision to those (slaves) whom their right hands possess, so that they may be equal with them in respect thereof. Is it then the grace of Allah that they deny?

1Corinthians 7:17-20 Only let each person lead the life that the Lord has assigned to him, and to which God has called him. This is my rule in all the churches.  18Was anyone at the time of his call already circumcised? Let him not seek to remove the marks of circumcision. Was anyone at the time of his call uncircumcised? Let him not seek circumcision.  19for neither circumcision counts for anything nor uncircumcision, but keeping the commandments of God.  20Each one should remain in the condition in which he was called.

Proverbs 11:25 Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered. (ESV)

Man denies the hand of God in his blessings.

16.72. And Allah hath given you wives of your own kind, and hath given you, from your wives, sons and grandsons, and hath made provision of good things for you. Is it then in vanity that they believe and in the grace of Allah that they disbelieve ?

2Corinthians 6:14-17 Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?  15What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever?  16What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said, "I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17Therefore go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you,

Romans 4:13-17 For the promise to Abraham and his offspring that he would be heir of the world did not come through the law but through the righteousness of faith.  14For if it is the adherents of the law who are to be the heirs, faith is null and the promise is void. 15For the law brings wrath, but where there is no law there is no transgression.  16That is why it depends on faith, in order that the promise may rest on grace and be guaranteed to all his offspring—not only to the adherent of the law but also to the one who shares the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all,  17as it is written, "I have made you the father of many nations"—in the presence of the God in whom he believed, who gives life to the dead and calls into existence the things that do not exist.

Romans 8:5-6 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. 6For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. (ESV)

16.73. And they worship beside Allah that which owneth no provision whatsoever for them from the heavens or the earth, nor have they (whom they worship) any power.

Jeremiah 10:2-5 Thus says the LORD: "Learn not the way of the nations, nor be dismayed at the signs of the heavens because the nations are dismayed at them, 3for the customs of the peoples are vanity. A tree from the forest is cut down and worked with an axe by the hands of a craftsman.  4They decorate it with silver and gold; they fasten it with hammer and nails so that it cannot move.  5Their idols are like scarecrows in a cucumber field, and they cannot speak; they have to be carried, for they cannot walk. Do not be afraid of them, for they cannot do evil, neither is it in them to do good."

16.74. So coin not similitudes for Allah. Lo! Allah knoweth; ye know not.

16.75. Allah coineth a similitude: (on the one hand) a (mere) chattel slave, who hath control of nothing, and (on the other hand) one on whom we have bestowed a fair provision from Us, and he spendeth thereof secretly and openly. Are they equal? Praise be to Allah! But most of them know not.

16.76. And Allah coineth a similitude: Two men, one of them dumb, having control of nothing, and he is a burden on his owner; whithersoever he directeth him to go, he bringeth no good. Is he equal with one who enjoineth justice and followeth a straight path (of conduct)?

Deuteronomy 18:20 But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in my name that I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die.'

Matthew 21:28-31 "What do you think? A man had two sons. And he went to the first and said, 'Son, go and work in the vineyard today.' 29And he answered, 'I will not,' but afterward he changed his mind and went. 30And he went to the other son and said the same. And he answered, 'I go, sir,' but did not go. 31Which of the two did the will of his father?" They said, "The first." Jesus said to them, "Truly, I say to you, the tax collectors and the prostitutes go into the kingdom of God before you.

16.77. And unto Allah belongeth the Unseen of the heavens and the earth, and the matter of the Hour (of Doom) is but as a twinkling of the eye, or it is nearer still. Lo! Allah is Able to do all things.

2Corinthians 4:18 While our minds are not on the things which are seen, but on the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are for a time; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

1Corinthians 15:51-58 Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.  53For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality. 54When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written: "Death is swallowed up in victory." 55"O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?"  56The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.  57But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.  58Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.

(See also Jeremiah 32:17)

16.78. And Allah brought you forth from the wombs of your mothers knowing nothing, and gave you hearing and sight and hearts that haply ye might give thanks.

16.79. Have they not seen the birds obedient in mid-air? None holdeth them save Allah. Lo! herein, verily, are portents for a people who believe.

Jeremiah 1:4-12 Now the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 5"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations."  6Then I said, "Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, I do not know how to speak, for I am only a youth."  7But the LORD said to me, "Do not say, 'I am only a youth'; for to all to whom I send you, you shall go, and whatever I command you, you shall speak.  8Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you, declares the LORD."  9Then the LORD put out his hand and touched my mouth. And the LORD said to me, "Behold, I have put my words in your mouth. 10See, I have set you this day over nations and over kingdoms, to pluck up and to break down, to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant." 11And the word of the LORD came to me, saying, "Jeremiah, what do you see?" And I said, "I see an almond branch."  12Then the LORD said to me, "You have seen well, for I am watching over my word to perform it."

We see that our works are established before we were born and indeed from the Omniscience of God from the foundation of the world.

Psalm 107:8 Let them thank the LORD for his steadfast love, for his wondrous works to the children of man! (ESV)

Psalm 40:5-6  Thou hast multiplied, O LORD my God, thy wondrous deeds and thy thoughts toward us; none can compare with thee! Were I to proclaim and tell of them, they would be more than can be numbered. 6Sacrifice and offering thou dost not desire; but thou hast given me an open ear. Burnt offering and sin offering thou hast not required. (RSV)

God wants the renewing of our minds to direct our focus on Him.

16.80. And Allah hath given you in your houses an abode, and hath given you (also), of the hides of cattle, houses which ye find light (to carry) on the day of migration and on the day of pitching camp; and of their wool and their fur and their hair, caparison and comfort for a while.

16.81. And Allah hath given you, of that which He hath created, shelter from the sun; and hath given you places of refuge in the mountains, and hath given you coats to ward off the heat from you, and coats (of armour) to save you from your own foolhardiness. Thus doth He perfect His favour unto you, in order that ye may surrender (unto Him).

16.82. Then, if they turn away, thy duty (O Muhammad) is but plain conveyance (of the message).

Ezekiel 28:25-26 "Thus says the Lord GOD: When I gather the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they are scattered, and manifest my holiness in them in the sight of the nations, then they shall dwell in their own land that I gave to my servant Jacob.  26And they shall dwell securely in it, and they shall build houses and plant vineyards. They shall dwell securely, when I execute judgments upon all their neighbors who have treated them with contempt. Then they will know that I am the LORD their God."

Deuteronomy 28:1-68 conveys the texts of the Blessings and the Curses which apply to all nations that seek Him. Islam is bound by these as are all the people of the world and the same blessings and curses apply.

Refer to the text on the entire chapter 28 in the end notes.

These conditions will apply continually and will be enforced from the Messiah onwards. No one will live to enter the Millennial system without complying with the Laws of God. All ministers and Imams that teach against them will be put to death.

16.83. They know the favour of Allah and then deny it. Most of them are ingrates.

Titus 1:16 They profess to know God, but they deny him by their works. They are detestable, disobedient, unfit for any good work.

2Kings 1:3 But the angel of the LORD said to Elijah the Tishbite, "Arise, go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria, and say to them, 'Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are going to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron?

(cf. 1Kings 18:21 above)

1John 4:6-8 We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us; whoever is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of error. 7Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. 8Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.

1John 5:19-21 We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one. 20And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. 21Little children, keep yourselves from idols.

God gives mankind bountiful blessings and wants our obedience and loyalty to Him. Yet they turn their backs on Him; scant regard and little thanks do they give Him.

16.84. And (bethink you of) the day when we raise up of every nation a witness, then there is no leave for disbelievers, nor are they allowed to make amends.

16.85. And when those who did wrong behold the doom, it will not be made light for them, nor will they be reprieved.

In the last days God will send the Witnesses and then, at the return of Messiah with the First Resurrection, the elect will be sent to every nation on the earth as teachers and sons of God in power from the resurrection of the elect. Those who do not repent and return to God as Ha Elohim will die and then await the Second Resurrection.

Psalm 7:12 If a man does not repent, God will whet his sword; he has bent and readied his bow;

Jeremiah 5:3 O LORD, do not your eyes look for truth? You have struck them down, but they felt no anguish; you have consumed them, but they refused to take correction. They have made their faces harder than rock; they have refused to repent.

Matthew 11:20 Then he began to denounce the cities where most of his mighty works had been done, because they did not repent.

Revelation 2:5 Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first. If not, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent.

Revelation 2:16 Therefore repent. If not, I will come to you soon and war against them with the sword of my mouth.

Revelation 3:3 Remember, then, what you received and heard. Keep it, and repent. If you will not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come against you.

Revelation 9:20 The rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands nor give up worshiping demons and idols of gold and silver and bronze and stone and wood, which cannot see or hear or walk,

Revelation 16:9 They were scorched by the fierce heat, and they cursed the name of God who had power over these plagues. They did not repent and give him glory.

Revelation 16:11 and cursed the God of heaven for their pain and sores. They did not repent of their deeds.

If they do not repent they will be killed and sent to the grave.

At the Second Resurrection the record of their deeds will be laid out before the wrongdoers and their messengers sent to them will testify against them and they will bear their correction.

16.86. And when those who ascribed partners to Allah behold those partners of theirs, they will say: Our Lord! these are our partners unto whom we used to cry instead of Thee. But they will fling to them the saying: Lo! ye verily are liars!

16.87. And they proffer unto Allah submission on that day, and all that they used to invent hath failed them.

16.88. For those who disbelieve and debar (men) from the way of Allah, We add doom to doom because they wrought corruption,

These texts deal with all of the false prophets and teachers and those who follow them. They will all be in the Second Resurrection with those who follow them.

Deuteronomy 18:20 But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in my name that I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die.'

Deuteronomy 29:18-21 Beware lest there be among you a man or woman or clan or tribe whose heart is turning away today from the LORD our God to go and serve the gods of those nations. Beware lest there be among you a root bearing poisonous and bitter fruit, 19one who, when he hears the words of this sworn covenant, blesses himself in his heart, saying, 'I shall be safe, though I walk in the stubbornness of my heart.' This will lead to the sweeping away of moist and dry alike.  20The LORD will not be willing to forgive him, but rather the anger of the LORD and his jealousy will smoke against that man, and the curses written in this book will settle upon him, and the LORD will blot out his name from under heaven.  21And the LORD will single him out from all the tribes of Israel for calamity, in accordance with all the curses of the covenant written in this Book of the Law.

The so-called gods and the lies their priests invented have all failed them and the evildoers will have to face their judgment.

16.89. And (bethink you of) the day when We raise in every nation a witness against them of their own folk, and We bring thee (Muhammad) as a witness against these. And We reveal the Scripture unto thee as an exposition of all things, and a guidance and a mercy and good tidings for those who have surrendered (to Allah).

Remember that Muhammad is a term for the councils of the Church of God's saints. The elect shall judge the world including the angels of the fallen Host (see 1Cor. 6:2-3 below).

Acts 15:7-12 And after there had been much debate, Peter stood up and said to them, "Brothers, you know that in the early days God made a choice among you, that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the word of the gospel and believe.  8And God, who knows the heart, bore witness to them, by giving them the Holy Spirit just as he did to us, 9and he made no distinction between us and them, having cleansed their hearts by faith.  10Now, therefore, why are you putting God to the test by placing a yoke on the neck of the disciples that neither our fathers nor we have been able to bear?  11But we believe that we will be saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, just as they will."  12And all the assembly fell silent, and they listened to Barnabas and Paul as they related what signs and wonders God had done through them among the Gentiles.

1Corinthians 6:2-3 Or do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you incompetent to try trivial cases? 3Do you not know that we are to judge angels? How much more, then, matters pertaining to this life!

1Corinthians 4:1 This is how one should regard us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.

16.90. Lo! Allah enjoineth justice and kindness, and giving to kinsfolk, and forbiddeth lewdness and abomination and wickedness. He exhorteth you in order that ye may take heed.

Isaiah 30:18 Therefore the LORD waits to be gracious to you, and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you. For the LORD is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him.

Matthew 23:23 "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faithfulness. These you ought to have done, without neglecting the others.

Micah 6:8-10 He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?  9The voice of the LORD cries to the city— and it is sound wisdom to fear your name: "Hear of the rod and of him who appointed it! 10Can I forget any longer the treasures of wickedness in the house of the wicked, and the scant measure that is accursed?

16.91. Fulfil the covenant of Allah when ye have covenanted, and break not your oaths after the asseveration of them, and after ye have made Allah surety over you. Lo! Allah knoweth what ye do.

Remember from Surah 4:154 that the Sabbath and the Fourth Commandment is the Sign of the Covenant and cannot be separated from it.

Almost the entire body of Islam is in breach of the Covenant of God and will not enter the Kingdom of God, as are almost all of Christianity and the world generally. The entire world will not recognise Christ and will march against him and the elect including the prophet at Megiddo, and their armies will be destroyed. Then the elect of the host will move against the world infidels and destroy their shrines and buildings. Unless they repent all will die.

Hebrews 10:15-18 And the Holy Spirit also bears witness to us; for after saying, 16"This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws on their hearts, and write them on their minds,"  17then he adds, "I will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no more."  18Where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer any offering for sin.

1John 3:14-24 We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brothers. Whoever does not love abides in death. 15Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.  16By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.  17But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him?  18Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.  19By this we shall know that we are of the truth and reassure our heart before him;  20for whenever our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and he knows everything.  21Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God; 22and whatever we ask we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do what pleases him. 23And this is his commandment, that we believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, just as he has commanded us.  24Whoever keeps his commandments abides in God, and God in him. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit whom he has given us.

16.92. And be not like unto her who unravelleth the thread, after she hath made it strong, to thin filaments, making your oaths a deceit between you because of a nation being more numerous than (another) nation. Allah only trieth you thereby, and He verily will explain to you on the Day of Resurrection that wherein ye differed.

16.93. Had Allah willed He could have made you (all) one nation, but He sendeth whom He will astray and guideth whom He will, and ye will indeed be asked of what ye used to do.

Ayats 92-93 warn against picking and choosing from God's word to be more like those around you.

Deuteronomy 12:30 take care that you be not ensnared to follow them, after they have been destroyed before you, and that you do not inquire about their gods, saying, 'How did these nations serve their gods?—that I also may do the same.'

Joshua 23:4-8 Behold, I have allotted to you as an inheritance for your tribes those nations that remain, along with all the nations that I have already cut off, from the Jordan to the Great Sea in the west. 5The LORD your God will push them back before you and drive them out of your sight. And you shall possess their land, just as the LORD your God promised you.  6Therefore, be very strong to keep and to do all that is written in the Book of the Law of Moses, turning aside from it neither to the right hand nor to the left, 7that you may not mix with these nations remaining among you or make mention of the names of their gods or swear by them or serve them or bow down to them,  8but you shall cling to the LORD your God just as you have done to this day.

John 5:29 And they will come out; those who have done good, into the new life; and those who have done evil, to be judged.

The English word Judged in verse 29 is from the Greek word Krisis which means correction.

1Corinthians 11:19 For divisions are necessary among you, in order that those who have God's approval may be clearly seen among you.

16.94. Make not your oaths a deceit between you, lest a foot should slip after being firmly planted and ye should taste evil forasmuch as ye debarred (men) from the way of Allah, and yours should be an awful doom.

16.95. And purchase not a small gain at the price of Allah's covenant. Lo! that which Allah hath is better for you, if ye did but know.

Hosea 10:4 They utter mere words; with empty oaths they make covenants; so judgment springs up like poisonous weeds in the furrows of the field.

Ezekiel 21:23-24 But to them it will seem like a false divination. They have sworn solemn oaths, but he brings their guilt to remembrance, that they may be taken.  24"Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Because you have made your guilt to be remembered, in that your transgressions are uncovered, so that in all your deeds your sins appear—because you have come to remembrance, you shall be taken in hand.

16.96. That which ye have wasteth away, and that which Allah hath remaineth. And verily We shall pay those who are steadfast a recompense in proportion to the best of what they used to do.

16.97. Whosoever doeth right, whether male or female, and is a believer, him verily we shall quicken with good life, and We shall pay them a recompense in proportion to the best of what they used to do.

Luke 18:29-30 And he said to them, "Truly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or wife or brothers or parents or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, 30who will not receive many times more in this time, and in the age to come eternal life."

John 4:36 Already the one who reaps is receiving wages and gathering fruit for eternal life, so that sower and reaper may rejoice together.

16.98. And when thou recitest the Qur'an, seek refuge in Allah from Satan the outcast.

John 5:39 You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me,

Psalm 7:1 A Shiggaion of David, which he sang to the LORD concerning the words of Cush, a Benjaminite. O LORD my God, in you do I take refuge; save me from all my pursuers and deliver me,

Psalm 11:1 To the choirmaster. Of David. In the LORD I take refuge; how can you say to my soul, "Flee like a bird to your mountain,

Psalm 14:6 You would shame the plans of the poor, but the LORD is his refuge.

Psalm 16:1 A Miktam of David. Preserve me, O God, for in you I take refuge.

Psalm 17:7 Wondrously show your steadfast love, O Savior of those who seek refuge from their adversaries at your right hand.

Psalm 18:2 The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

16.99. Lo! He (Satan) hath no power over those who believe and put trust in their Lord.

James 4:7-8 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

16.100. His (Satan) power is only over those who make a friend of him, and those who ascribe partners unto Him (Allah).

16.101. And when We put a revelation in place of (another) revelation, - and Allah knoweth best what He revealeth - they say: Lo! thou art but inventing. Most of them know not.

John 1:18 No one has ever seen God; the onlyborn god [monogenes theos], who is at the Father's side, he has made him known.

Isaiah 43:10 "You are my witnesses," declares the LORD, "and my servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor shall there be any after me.

Isaiah 45:18 For thus says the LORD, who created the heavens (he is God!), who formed the earth and made it (he established it; he did not create it empty, he formed it to be inhabited!): "I am the LORD, and there is no other.

Matthew 6:24 "No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.

Satan has power over his minions and over those who serve false gods. God increases our understanding as we grow in his word. Resist Satan and he will flee from you.

16.102. Say: The Holy Spirit hath delivered it from thy Lord with truth, that it may confirm (the faith of) those who believe, and as guidance and good tidings for those who have surrendered (to Allah).

Luke 12:11-12 And when they bring you before the synagogues and the rulers and the authorities, do not be anxious about how you should defend yourself or what you should say, 12for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say."

Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (KJV)

Hebrews 4:2 For good news came to us just as to them, but the message they heard did not benefit them, because they were not united by faith with those who listened. (ESV)

Refer to Psalm 119:105 and Proverbs 6:23 at ayat 64 above.

16.103. And We know well that they say: Only a man teacheth him. The speech of him at whom they falsely hint is outlandish, and this is clear Arabic speech.

The Koran is clear exposition of the doctrines of the Church of God, of Christ and the Apostles, and extols the One True God of John 17:3 and the Sabbatarian Unitarian Faith.

John 14:23-26 Jesus answered him, "If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. 24Whoever does not love me does not keep my words. And the word that you hear is not mine but the Father's who sent me. 25"These things I have spoken to you while I am still with you. 26But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.

Acts 2:3-8 And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them.  4And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.  5Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men from every nation under heaven.  6And at this sound the multitude came together, and they were bewildered, because each one was hearing them speak in his own language.  7And they were amazed and astonished, saying, "Are not all these who are speaking Galileans?  8And how is it that we hear, each of us in his own native language?

16.104. Lo! those who disbelieve the revelations of Allah, Allah guideth them not and theirs will be a painful doom.

Romans 8:5-8 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit.  6For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. 7For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot.  8Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

Matthew 25:30 And cast the worthless servant into the outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'

16.105. Only they invent falsehood who believe not Allah's revelations, and (only) they are the liars.

Those who say the Scriptures are lost and do not believe them are liars and will die and be consigned to retraining in the Second Resurrection.

1John 2:22 Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son.

1John 4:20 If anyone says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen.

16.106. Whoso disbelieveth in Allah after his belief - save him who is forced thereto and whose heart is still content with the Faith - but whoso findeth ease in disbelief: On them is wrath from Allah. Theirs will be an awful doom.

Hebrews 10:26-27 For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,  27but a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries.

16.107. That is because they have chosen the life of the world rather than the Hereafter, and because Allah guideth not the disbelieving folk.

16.108. Such are they whose hearts and ears and eyes Allah hath sealed. And such are the heedless.

16.109. Assuredly in the Hereafter they are the losers.

2Thessalonians 2:9-12 The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders,  10and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.  11Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false,  12in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

(cf. Romans 1:22-31 above)

16.110. Then lo! thy Lord - for those who became fugitives after they had been persecuted, and then fought and were steadfast - lo! thy Lord afterward is (for them) indeed Forgiving, Merciful.

Matthew 10:21-23 Brother will deliver brother over to death, and the father his child, and children will rise against parents and have them put to death, 22and you will be hated by all for my name's sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. 23When they persecute you in one town, flee to the next, for truly, I say to you, you will not have gone through all the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.

This text also shows that the Place of Safety is in the hand of God (see The Place of Safety (No. 194)).

Matthew 28-32 And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell. 29Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. 30But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. 31Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. 32So everyone who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven,

16.111. On the Day when every soul will come pleading for itself, and every soul will be repaid what it did, and they will not be wronged.

(cf. also Revelation 20:11-15 which refers to the Great White throne Judgement.)

16.112. Allah coineth a similitude: a township that dwelt secure and well content, its provision coming to it in abundance from every side, but it disbelieved in Allah's favours, so Allah made it experience the garb of dearth and fear because of what they used to do.

16.113. And verily there had come unto them a messenger from among them, but they had denied him, and so the torment seized them while they were wrong-doers.

Matthew 10:11-15 And whatever town or village you enter, find out who is worthy in it and stay there until you depart. 12As you enter the house, greet it. 13And if the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it, but if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you. 14And if anyone will not receive you or listen to your words, shake off the dust from your feet when you leave that house or town. 15Truly, I say to you, it will be more bearable on the day of judgment for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah than for that town.

16.114. So eat of the lawful and good food which Allah hath provided for you, and thank the bounty of your Lord if it is Him ye serve.

16.115. He hath forbidden for you only carrion and blood and swineflesh and that which hath been immolated in the name of any other than Allah; but he who is driven thereto, neither craving nor transgressing, lo! then Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

16.116. And speak not, concerning that which your own tongues qualify (as clean or unclean), the falsehood: "This is lawful, and this is forbidden," so that ye invent a lie against Allah. Lo! those who invent a lie against Allah will not succeed.

These texts are speaking of the Acts 15 Conference at Jerusalem under the Apostles (see The Acts 15 Conference (No. 069)). Elsewhere the prophet speaks of the Food Laws and the fact that the Jews and the Arabs eat the same food as is lawful to them. These limitations were placed on slaves so they would not starve.

The legislation regarding the food laws is detailed in Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14.

Micah 7:18 Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and passing over transgression for the remnant of his inheritance? He does not retain his anger forever, because he delights in steadfast love. (ESV)

16.117. A brief enjoyment (will be theirs); and theirs a painful doom.

Proverbs 21:17 Whoever loves pleasure will be a poor man; he who loves wine and oil will not be rich.

16.118. And unto those who are Jews We have forbidden that which We have already related unto thee. And We wronged them not, but they were wont to wrong themselves.

(See also the paper The Food Laws (No. 015).)

In the entire Koran the Prophet only makes one change and that is that he permits the desert tribes in dire necessity to eat the flanks of camels provided they are cut in strips and cooked. The food laws remain intact and complete. This text as the previous (cf. 3:93) refers to the adoption of Kashrut restrictions from the Egyptian captivity.

Romans 3:9-11 What then? Are we Jews any better off? No, not at all. For we have already charged that all, both Jews and Greeks, are under sin, 10as it is written: "None is righteous, no, not one; 11no one understands; no one seeks for God.

16.119. Then lo! thy Lord - for those who do evil in ignorance and afterward repent and amend - lo! (for them) thy Lord is afterward indeed Forgiving, Merciful.

For this reason we have the Sanctification of the Nations and of the Elect and especially the fast of the Sanctification of the Simple and Erroneous (No. 291).

1John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness

Refer Micah 7:18 at ayat 116 above.

16.120. Lo! Abraham was a nation obedient to Allah, by nature upright, and he was not of the idolaters;

16.121. Thankful for His bounties; He chose him and He guided him unto a straight path.

16.122. And We gave him good in the world, and in the Hereafter he is among the righteous.

Galatians 3:6-9 just as Abraham “believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”? 7Know then that it is those of faith who are the sons of Abraham. 8And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, “In you shall all the nations be blessed.” 9So then, those who are of faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith. (ESV)

16.123. And afterward We inspired thee (Muhammad, saying): Follow the religion of Abraham, as one by nature upright. He was not of the idolaters.

Galatians 3:10-14 For all who rely on works of the law are under a curse; for it is written, "Cursed be everyone who does not abide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them."  11Now it is evident that no one is justified before God by the law, for "The righteous shall live by faith."  12But the law is not of faith, rather "The one who does them shall live by them."  13Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree"— 14so that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we might receive the promised Spirit through faith.

James 2:20-24 Do you want to be shown, you foolish person, that faith apart from works is useless?  21Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered up his son Isaac on the altar?  22You see that faith was active along with his works, and faith was completed by his works; 23and the Scripture was fulfilled that says, "Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as  righteousness"—and he was called a friend of God.  24You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.

16.124. The Sabbath was appointed only for those who differed concerning it, and lo! thy Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that wherein they used to differ.

The meaning of the verse is that there is a punishment for Sabbath-breaking, but it is to be carried out upon those who dispute the obligation to keep the Sabbath. Furthermore, it is concluded from this text that no punishment for Sabbath-breaking is to be carried out before the Day of Judgment. The Sabbath and New Moons and Feasts will be enforced during the millennial system. See also The Sabbath in the Qur’an (No. 274).

Exodus 20:8 "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

Exodus 31:14 You shall keep the Sabbath, because it is holy for you. Everyone who profanes it shall be put to death. Whoever does any work on it, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

Exodus 31:16 Therefore the people of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, observing the Sabbath throughout their generations, as a covenant forever.

Colossians 2:16-17 Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. 17These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ.

Surah 4:154 ties the Covenant to the Sabbath and therefore the Sabbath is the test of the Covenant.  Those that refuse to keep it or differ in keeping it are judged by it. Islam is judged by its refusal to keep it from the Koran itself.

16.125. Call unto the way of thy Lord with wisdom and fair exhortation, and reason with them in the better way. Lo! thy Lord is Best Aware of him who strayeth from His way, and He is Best Aware of those who go aright.

Psalms 119:110 The wicked have laid a snare for me, but I do not stray from your precepts.

Proverbs 7:25 Let not your heart turn aside to her ways; do not stray into her paths,

Proverbs 19:27 Cease to hear instruction, my son, and you will stray from the words of knowledge.

Matthew 7:13-14 "Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. 14For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.

16.126. If ye punish, then punish with the like of that wherewith ye were afflicted. But if ye endure patiently, verily it is better for the patient.

(cf. also Exodus 21:22-36 regarding punishments for breach of the law in violence or damages including damages to women and children in the womb.)

John 8:7 And as they continued to ask him, he stood up and said to them, "Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her."

16.127. Endure thou patiently (O Muhammad). Thine endurance is only by (the help of) Allah. Grieve not for them, and be not in distress because of that which they devise.

16.128. Lo! Allah is with those who keep their duty unto Him and those who are doers of good.

Romans 2:13 For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law who will be justified.

James 1:22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

Keep in mind that Muhammad isn't a man but is the council of the church, the saints, or ummah.

Revelation 12:17 Then the dragon became furious with the woman and went off to make war on the rest of her offspring, on those who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus. And he stood on the sand of the sea.

Revelation 14:12 Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus [the Christ].

Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

So this Surah is a clear warning to the idolaters in Arabia and the areas under its influence to shun idolatry and perversions of the Food Laws and the Covenant. They did not heed and killed the elect of the Covenant after the Four Rightly Guided Caliphs. Messiah will be here soon and the elect of the faith, including the Prophet sent to Arabia, will cleanse those from Islam and the faith entirely.
