Commentary on the Koran: Surah 14
“Abraham”
Pickthall’s translation with RSV biblical quotes unless otherwise
noted.
Introduction
Surah 14 derives its name (Ibrihim) from Abraham’s prayer in verses
35-41. It was stated to be uttered from the time when he was establishing his
son Ishmael in the valley of Becca, which was considered incapable of
cultivation. Pickthall considers Ishmael to be the ancestor of the Arabs but he
was not. He was the ancestor of the Arabicised Arabs, and the sons of Keturah
were the progenitors of the Arabs.
It is similar to other Beccan Surahs and the subject of verse 46 being
the plot of the idolaters, indicates it was perhaps one of the last of the Beccan Surahs
before the Hijrah. Verses 28-30 are considered later additions from Al-Madinah.
Once again it is listed as Scripture but as a revelation to the Prophet.

14.1. Alif. Lam. Ra. (This is) a Scripture which We have
revealed unto thee (Muhammad) that thereby thou mayst bring forth mankind from
darkness unto light, by the permission of their Lord, unto the path of the
Mighty, the Owner of Praise,
Acts 26:18 to open their eyes,
so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to
God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are
sanctified by faith in me.'
Colossians 1:13 He has delivered us
from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved
Son,
Psalm 147:5 Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; his understanding is infinite. (ERV)
1Chronicles 16:25 For great is the LORD, and highly
to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods. (ERV)
14.2. Allah, unto Whom belongeth whatsoever is in the
heavens and whatsoever is in the earth. and woe unto the disbelievers from an
awful doom;
Psalm 24:1 A Psalm of David. The earth is the LORD's and the fullness thereof,
the world and those who dwell therein,
Micah 2:1 Woe to those who devise wickedness and work
evil on their beds! When the morning dawns, they perform it, because it is in
the power of their hand.
Isaiah 3:11 Woe to the wicked!
It shall be ill with him, for what his hands have dealt out shall be done to
him.
14.3. Those who love the life of the world more than the
Hereafter, and debar (men) from the way of Allah and would have it crooked:
such are far astray.
Matthew 23:13 But woe
to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut the kingdom of heaven
in people’s faces. For you neither enter yourselves nor allow those who would
enter to go in.
Luke 11:52 Woe to you
lawyers! For you have taken away the key of knowledge. You did not enter
yourselves, and you hindered those who were entering.”
1Peter 2:11-12 Dear friends, I urge you, as foreigners and exiles, to
abstain from sinful desires, which wage war against your soul. 12Live
such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong,
they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us. (NIV)
Luke 21:34 But watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a trap. (ESV)
2Timothy 2:22 But flee youthful lusts, and follow after righteousness, faith, love, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart. (ERV)
Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God
is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who
by their unrighteousness suppress the truth.
14.4. And We never sent a messenger save with the language
of his folk, that he might make (the message) clear for them. Then Allah
sendeth whom He will astray, and guideth whom He will. He is the Mighty, the
Wise.
Here we see that prophets do not speak in tongues other than the
language of the people to whom they are to give their message. Then God will
call or reject them according to His Will. God sent messengers to their
people in their own language. Cf. Surah 10 verse 47:
And for every nation there is a messenger. And when their messenger cometh (on the Day of Judgment) it will be judged between them fairly, and they will not be wronged. (Pickthall’s translation)
John 16:13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.
Romans 1:28 And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.
Job 9:4 He is wise in heart, and mighty in
strength: who hath hardened himself against him, and prospered? (ERV)
14.5. We verily sent Moses with Our revelations, saying:
Bring thy people forth from darkness unto light. And remind them of the days of
Allah. Lo! therein are revelations for each steadfast, thankful (heart).
Again we see that Moses was the source of the Revelation of God. He
gave them the Days of God as their calendar as instructed by Christ.
Exodus 19:5-6 Now therefore, if
you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, you shall be my treasured
possession among all peoples, for all the earth is mine; 6and you
shall be to me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. These are the words that
you shall speak to the people of Israel.
Leviticus 23:2 Speak to the people
of Israel and say to them, These are the appointed feasts of the LORD that you
shall proclaim as holy convocations; they are my appointed feasts.
Exodus
23:14-17 Three times in the year you shall keep a feast to me. 15You
shall keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread. As I commanded you, you shall eat
unleavened bread for seven days at the appointed time in the month of Abib, for
in it you came out of Egypt. None shall appear before me empty-handed. 16You
shall keep the Feast of Harvest, of the firstfruits of your labor, of what you
sow in the field. You shall keep the Feast of Ingathering at the end of the
year, when you gather in from the field the fruit of your labor. 17Three
times in the year shall all your males appear before the Lord GOD.
Deuteronomy
16:16 Three times a year all your males shall appear before the LORD your God
at the place that he will choose: at the Feast of Unleavened Bread, at the
Feast of Weeks, and at the Feast of Booths. They shall not appear before the
LORD empty-handed.
Acts 26:18 to open their eyes,
so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to
God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are
sanctified by faith in me.'
Colossians 3:15 And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. (ESV)
The days of Allah include the Sabbaths, New
Moons and all the feast days listed in Leviticus chapter 23. The purpose is to
show unto mankind God's master plan of redemption for fallen humanity and the
fallen angelic Host.
14.6. And (remind them) how Moses said unto his people:
Remember Allah's favour unto you when He delivered you from Pharaoh's folk who
were afflicting you with dreadful torment, and were slaying your sons and
sparing your women; that was a tremendous trial from your Lord.
Exodus 18:10 Jethro said,
"Blessed be the LORD, who has delivered you out of the hand of the
Egyptians and out of the hand of Pharaoh and has delivered the people from
under the hand of the Egyptians.
Acts 7.19
He dealt shrewdly with our race and forced our fathers to expose their
infants, so that they would not be kept alive.
14.7. And when your Lord proclaimed: If ye give thanks, I
will give you more; but if ye are thankless, lo! My punishment is dire.
Matthew 25:29 For to everyone who has will more be given,
and he will have an abundance. But from the one who has not, even what he has
will be taken away.
Acts 20:35 In all things I have shown you that
by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the
Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”
(ESV)
Psalm 136:1 Give thanks to the
LORD, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever.
1Corinthians 4:7 For who sees anything different in you? What do you have that you did not receive? If then you received it, why do you boast as if you did not receive it? (ESV)
14.8. And Moses said: Though ye and all who are in the
earth prove thankless, lo! Allah verily is Absolute, Owner of Praise.
Isaiah 40:26 Lift up your eyes on
high and see: who created these? He who brings out their host by number,
calling them all by name, by the greatness of his might, and because he is
strong in power not one is missing.
Psalm 106:1 Praise the LORD! Oh
give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures
forever!
14.9. Hath not the history of
those before you reached you: the folk of Noah, and (the tribes of) A'ad and
Thamud, and those after them? None save Allah knoweth them. Their messengers
came unto them with clear proofs, but they thrust their hands into their
mouths, and said: Lo! we disbelieve in that wherewith ye have been sent, and
lo! we are in grave doubt concerning that to which ye call us.
Here again we see the warnings to the sons of Shem of
A’ad and Thamud. People who did not heed the warnings of their messengers to
turn from their wicked ways were visited with dire punishment from God. God is
directing warnings to them and they do not seem to understand.
14.10. Their messengers said:
Can there be doubt concerning Allah, the Creator of the heavens and the earth? He
calleth you that He may forgive you your sins and reprieve you unto an
appointed term. They said: Ye are but mortals like us, who would fain turn us
away from what our fathers used to worship. Then bring some clear warrant.
14.11. Their messengers said unto them: We are but mortals like
you, but Allah giveth grace unto whom He will of His slaves. It is not ours to
bring you a warrant unless by the permission of Allah. In Allah let believers
put their trust!
14.12. How should we not put our trust in Allah when He hath shown
us our ways? We surely will endure the hurt ye do us. In Allah let the trusting
put their trust.
14.13. And those who disbelieved said unto their messengers:
Verily we will drive you out from our land, unless ye return to our religion.
Then their Lord inspired them, (saying): Verily we shall destroy the
wrong-doers.
Those who
disbelieve the prophets are destroyed.
Psalm 146:6 who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, who keeps faith forever; (ESV)
Psalm 31:18 Let the
lying lips be mute, which speak insolently against the righteous in pride and
contempt.
2Chronicles 7:14 if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. (ESV)
Mark 7:13 Thus you nullify the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And you do many things like that." (NIV)
James 4:6 But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” (ESV)
Isaiah 26:4 Trust in the LORD forever, for the
LORD GOD is an everlasting rock. (ESV)
Matthew 23:34 Therefore I send you prophets and wise men and scribes, some of whom
you will kill and crucify, and some you will flog in your synagogues and
persecute from town to town,
Jeremiah 26:8 And when Jeremiah had finished speaking all that the LORD had
commanded him to speak to all the people, then the priests and the prophets and
all the people laid hold of him, saying, "You shall die!
Luke 16:31 He said to him, 'If they do not hear Moses and the Prophets, neither
will they be convinced if someone should rise from the dead.'"
2Chronicles 36:16 But
they kept mocking the messengers of God, despising his words and scoffing at
his prophets, until the wrath of the LORD rose against his people, until there
was no remedy.
Isaiah 1:28 But rebels and sinners shall be broken together, and those who forsake the LORD shall be consumed. (ESV)
14.14. And verily We shall make you to dwell in the land
after them. This is for him who feareth My Majesty and feareth My threats.
Those who fear God and honour His Commandments are allowed to dwell in
the land.
Psalm 37:28 For the LORD loves
justice; he will not forsake his saints. They are preserved forever, but the
children of the wicked shall be cut off. 29The
righteous shall inherit the land and dwell upon it forever. (ESV)
14.15. And they sought help (from their Lord) and every
froward potentate was bought to naught;
The enemies of the Laws of God are ultimately reduced to ruin.
Isaiah 37:18-19 "Truly, O LORD, the kings of Assyria have devastated all the countries and their lands, 19and have cast their gods into the fire, for they were not gods but the work of men's hands, wood and stone. So they have destroyed them. (NASB)
Jeremiah 2:28 But where are your gods that you made for
yourself? Let them arise, if they can save you, in your time of trouble; for as
many as your cities are your gods, O Judah.
Habakkuk 2:19 Woe to him who says
to a wooden thing, Awake; to a silent stone, Arise! Can this teach? Behold, it
is overlaid with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all in it.
14.16. Hell is before him, and he is made to drink a
festering water,
14.17. Which he sippeth but can hardly swallow, and death
cometh unto him from every side while yet he cannot die, and before him is a
harsh doom.
14.18. A similitude of those who disbelieve in their Lord:
Their works are as ashes which the wind bloweth hard upon a stormy day. They
have no control of aught that they have earned. That is the extreme failure.
As we see they are brought to the pit and to await the Resurrection of
Judgment.
Proverbs 24:20 for the evil man
has no future; the lamp of the wicked will be put out.
Ephesians 4:18 They are darkened in
their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance
that is in them, due to their hardness of heart.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin
is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Revelation 21:8 But as for the
cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually
immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake
that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death."
14.19. Hast thou not seen that Allah hath created the heavens
and the earth with truth? If He will, He can remove you and bring (in) some new
creation;
14.20. And that is no great matter for Allah.
The text is clear that it was Eloah as Elohim that created the heavens
and the earth and not Messiah who created the aeons or Ages.
Daniel 4:35 all the inhabitants
of the earth are accounted as nothing, and he does according to his will among
the host of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth; and none can stay
his hand or say to him, "What have you done?"

even the wicked for the day of trouble.
Job 34:14-15 "If He should determine to do so, If He should gather to Himself His spirit and His breath, 15All flesh would perish together, And man would return to dust.(NASB)
Matthew 3:9-10 And do not presume to say to
yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father,’ for I tell you, God is able from
these stones to raise up children for Abraham. 10Even now the axe is
laid to the root of the trees. Every tree therefore that does not bear good
fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. (ESV)
Romans 11:36 For from him and
through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.
14.21. They all come forth unto their Lord. Then those who
were despised say unto those who were scornful: We were unto you a following,
can ye then avert from us aught of Allah's doom? They say: Had Allah guided us,
we should have guided you. Whether we rage or patiently endure is (now) all one
for us; we have no place of refuge.
The elect saints are despised and persecuted until the Messiah comes to
save those who eagerly await him.
Romans 11:36 as above.
Romans 9:22 What if God,
desiring to show his wrath and to make known his power, has endured with much
patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction,

immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake

Psalm 73:17-18 until I went into
the sanctuary of God; then I discerned their end. 18Truly you set
them in slippery places; you make them fall to ruin.
14.22. And Satan saith, when the matter hath been decided:
Lo! Allah promised you a promise of truth; and I promised you, then failed you.
And I had no power over you save that I called unto you and ye obeyed me. So
blame not, but blame yourselves. I cannot help you, nor can ye help me, Lo! I
disbelieved in that which ye before ascribed to me. Lo! for wrong-doers is a
painful doom.

the truth, and the truth will set you free.
John 1:17 For the law was
given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
Romans 6:22 But now that you have been set free from sin
and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and
its end, eternal life.
Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God
proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.
God provides us with all that is good for us. Satan has deceived the
whole world. He and his deceived minions are consigned to the Second Resurrection
to face corrective training and education to lead them to repentance, and those
that do not repent will face the second death and final destruction.
14.23. And those who believed and did good works are made
to enter Gardens underneath which rivers flow, therein abiding by permission of
their Lord, their greeting therein: Peace!
Philippians 2:15 that you may be
blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a
crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,
1Peter 2:12 Keep your conduct among the Gentiles
honorable, so that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may see your
good deeds and glorify God on the day of visitation.
Those who live by the law and testimony will inherit the First Garden
of Paradise i.e. the First Resurrection and eternal life. Those of the
Millennial system who are of the elect saints are translated and not subject to
the Second Death. All who repent are saved also.
14.24. Seest thou not how Allah coineth a similitude: A
goodly saying, as a goodly tree, its root set firm, its branches reaching into
heaven,
14.25. Giving its fruit at every season by permission of
its Lord? Allah coineth the similitudes for mankind in order that they may
reflect.
14.26. And the similitude of a bad saying is as a bad tree,
uprooted from upon the earth, possessing no stability.
Matthew 7:16-17 You will recognize
them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from
thistles? 17So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the
diseased tree bears bad fruit.
James 3:11-12 Does a spring pour forth from the same opening both fresh and salt water? 12Can a fig tree, my brothers, bear olives, or a grapevine produce figs? Neither can a salt pond yield fresh water. (ESV)

Matthew 19:29 And everyone who
has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or

life.
Romans 2:6-11 He will render to
each one according to his works: 7to those who by patience in
well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life;
8but for those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but
obey unrighteousness, there will be wrath and fury. 9There will be
tribulation and distress for every human being who does evil, the Jew first and
also the Greek, 10but glory and honor and peace for everyone who
does good, the Jew first and also the Greek. 11For God shows no
partiality.
Ephesians 1:11 In him we have obtained an
inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works
all things according to the counsel of his will, (ESV)
14.28. Hast thou not seen those who gave the grace of Allah
in exchange for thanklessness and led their people down to the Abode of Loss,
14.29. (Even to) hell? They are exposed thereto. A hapless
end!
14.30. And they set up rivals to Allah that they may
mislead (men) from His way. Say: Enjoy life (while ye may) for lo! your
journey's end will be the Fire.
Those who mislead the people are consigned to the grave and await the
Second Resurrection along with the demons.
Romans 1:18-23 For the wrath of God
is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who
by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. 19For what can be known
about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. 20For
his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have
been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things
that have been made. So they are without excuse. 21For although they
knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became
futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22Claiming
to be wise, they became fools, 23and exchanged the glory of the
immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and
creeping things.
2Peter 2:1 But false prophets also arose among

14.32. Allah is He Who created the heavens and the earth,
and causeth water to descend from the sky, thereby producing fruits as food for
you, and maketh the ships to be of service unto you, that they may run upon the
sea at His command, and hath made of service unto you the rivers;

courses, to be of service unto you, and hath made of service unto you the night

14.35. And when Abraham said:
My Lord! Make safe this territory, and preserve me and my sons from serving
idols.
14.36. My Lord! Lo! they have
led many of mankind astray. But whoso followeth me, he verily is of me. And
whoso disobeyeth me – still Thou art Forgiving, Merciful.
14.37. Our Lord! Lo! I have
settled some of my posterity in an uncultivable valley near unto Thy holy
House, our Lord! that they may establish proper worship; so incline some hearts
of men that they may yearn toward them, and provide Thou them with fruits in order
that they may be thankful.
Yet they did
not establish proper worship and lapsed into idolatry and so it was also among
Moab and Ammon the sons of Lot.
Galatians 3:7 Know then
that it is those of faith who are the sons of Abraham.
Romans 4:16 That is
why it depends on faith, in order that the promise may rest on grace and be
guaranteed to all his descendants--not only to the adherents of the law but
also to those who share the faith of Abraham, for he is the father of us all, (RSV)
Romans 8:5 For those
who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but
those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the
Spirit.
Romans 8:7 For the
mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to
God's law; indeed, it cannot.
Nehemiah 9:17 They refused to obey and were not mindful of the wonders that you performed among them, but they stiffened their neck and appointed a leader to return to their slavery in Egypt. Matthew 24:11 And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. (ESV)
Mark 13:22 For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform signs and wonders, to lead astray, if possible, the elect. (ESV)
The natural
carnal mind set on the things of the flesh will not obey the Law of God so
Abraham's prayer for his children to be preserved and kept from worshiping
idols has been answered in his children who live by faith. His physical
descendants mostly have not kept the Law as God sent them into captivity for their
failure to do so. Most of them worshiped idols and the gods of the nations
around them. They failed to keep the agreed covenant between them and God. God
kept His side of the bargain and provided for them. Even after the Prophet was
sent to them they corrupted the law and lied about the Scriptures, asserting
they had been lost.
14.38. Our Lord! Lo! Thou knowest that which we hide and
that which we proclaim. Nothing in the earth or in the heaven is hidden from
Allah.

14.39. Praise be to Allah Who hath given me, in my old age,
Ishmael and Isaac! Lo! my Lord is indeed the Hearer of Prayer.
At this point the prayer is
confined to Ishmael and Isaac but the Arabs were primarily the sons of Keturah,
although the Qureysh were the sons of Ishmael dwelling at Becca.
Genesis
17:17-19 Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed and said
to himself, "Shall a child be born to a man who is a hundred years old?
Shall Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear a child?" 18And
Abraham said to God, "Oh that Ishmael might live before you!" 19God
said, "No, but Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call
his name Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him as an everlasting
covenant for his offspring after him.
Genesis 21:2 And Sarah
conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age at the time of which God had
spoken to him.
14.40. My Lord! Make me to establish proper worship, and
some of my posterity (also); our Lord! and accept my prayer.
Genesis 26:5 because Abraham
obeyed my voice and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.
Genesis 22:18 and in your
offspring shall all the nations of the earth be blessed, because you have
obeyed my voice.
14.41. Our Lord! Forgive me and my parents and believers on
the day when the account is cast.
Psalm 130:3-4 If you, O LORD, should mark iniquities, O
Lord, who could stand? 4But with you there is forgiveness, that you
may be feared.
1Timothy 2:3-4 This is good, and it is
pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, 4who desires all people to
be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (ESV)
14.42. Deem not that Allah is unaware of what the wicked
do. He but giveth them a respite till a day when eyes will stare (in terror),
Proverbs 15:3 The eyes of the LORD
are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good.
2Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow
to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not
wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.
The reward or punishment will come in due time according to God's timing.
14.43. As they come hurrying on in fear, their heads
upraised, their gaze returning not to them, and their hearts as air.
14.44. And warn mankind of a day when the doom will come
upon them, and those who did wrong will say: Our Lord! Reprieve us for a little
while. We will obey Thy call and will follow the messengers. (It will be
answered): Did ye not swear before that there would be no end for you?
Proverbs 10:24 What the wicked
dreads will come upon him, but the desire of the righteous will be granted.
Habakkuk 2:3 For still the vision awaits its
appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait
for it; it will surely come; it will not delay. (ESV)
Proverbs 1:26-27 I also will laugh at
your calamity; I will mock when terror strikes you, 27when terror
strikes you like a storm and your calamity comes like a whirlwind, when
distress and anguish come upon you.
Isaiah 66:4 I also will choose harsh treatment for them
and bring their fears upon them, because when I called, no one answered, when I
spoke, they did not listen; but they did what was evil in my eyes and chose
that in which I did not delight.
See also Revelation 20:12.
14.45. And (have ye not) dwelt in the dwellings of those who
wronged themselves (of old) and (hath it not) become plain to you how We dealt
with them and made examples for you?
14.46. Verily they have plotted their plot, and their plot
is with Allah, though their plot were one whereby the mountains should be
moved.
The Israelites were warned not to follow in the ways of the nations
that they were commanded to destroy as these nations had done detestable things
in the sight of God. They inherited all of the good things left behind when
they were destroyed. They knew the fate of the wrong doers before them yet they
remembered not the warning given to them.
The folk of Noah, the tribes of A'ad and
Thamud, the inhabitants of the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, likewise paid with
their lives because they did not heed the warnings of the messengers sent to them
to turn from their wicked ways.
Israel was given explicit instructions before its entry into the
Promised Land in the texts at Deuteronomy 6:1-25. Yet they did not learn and
often forgot the words of the Lord.
Mankind does not learn from history and repeats what transpired before
their days.
14.47. So think not
that Allah will fail to keep His promise to His messengers. Lo! Allah is
Mighty, Able to Requite (the wrong).

21:45 Not one word of all the good promises that the LORD had made to the
house of Israel had failed; all came to pass.

one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or
evil.
14.48. On the day
when the earth will be changed to other than the earth, and the heavens (also
will be changed) and they will come forth unto Allah, the One, the Almighty,
14.49. Thou wilt see
the guilty on that day linked together in chains,
14.50. Their raiment
of pitch, and the Fire covering their faces,
14.51. That Allah may
repay each soul what it hath earned. Lo! Allah is swift at reckoning.
14.52. This is a clear message for mankind in order that they may be warned
thereby, and that they may know that He is only One God, and that men of understanding
may take heed.
The earth will see the Resurrection and at
the end of the Resurrection those who do not repent and obey God under Messiah
will simply die and their bodies burned. Then when man is no more and they are
all spirit beings we will see God and we will live with Him in the City of God
and we will rule the newly created universe.
The dead will be brought to mind no more.
The demons will also be given repentance and we will go on with the creation.

render to each one according to his works:

Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with
all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.
2Timothy
3:16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for
reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,
Isaiah 45:5-6 "I
am the LORD, and there is no other; Besides Me there is no God. I will gird
you, though you have not known Me; 6That men may know from the rising to the setting of the sun That
there is no one besides Me. I am the
LORD, and there is no other, (NASB)
Ecclesiastes
12:12-14 My son, beware of anything beyond these. Of making many books there is
no end, and much study is a weariness of the flesh. 13the end of the
matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the
whole duty of man. 14For God will bring every deed into judgment,
with every secret thing, whether good or evil.
These are explicit warnings to
the sons of Shem and they ignore the text and pervert the Scriptures as does
the whole world.
