Commentary on the Koran: Surah 13 “The
Thunder”
Pickthall’s translation with RSV biblical quotes unless otherwise
noted.
Introduction
Surah 13 Ar Ra’d takes its name from verse 13. The texts in 12 and 13 sing the praise of the
Messiah in the creation. The text of the Surah concerns Divine Guidance and the
relationship of consequence flowing from the breaches of the Laws of God. There
is no respect of persons with God in relation to His Laws and punishment
flowing from their breach. Reward and punishment are the direct result of
obeying or rejecting Divine Laws. However,
Satan under his rule broke the nexus of the Laws of God and it rains on the
Just and the Unjust. That nexus will be restored in the near future.
As a result of the Hadithic rejection of Scripture
this text has to be explained as applying to natural law as though they do not
reflect the Nature of God, which reflects itself in the Laws of God coming from
His Nature.
Authorities are divided as to whether it is a
Beccan Surah with two
verses given at Al-Madinah or entirely a Madinan Surah with two verses
given at Becca. Pickthall
is of the opinion that the very division of opinion favours a Meccan [Beccan] origin as he
considers there could be no such division of opinion concerning a complete Madinan origin owing to the great number of witnesses. He
holds it is a late Meccan [Beccan]
Surah for the most part.
The reality is that the position on the law was a standard view of the Churches
of God and they were reminded of it continually. It was only with the Hadith
that the law was undermined, as was the law undermined with the Trinitarians
and Binitarian/Ditheists, which the Koran systematically condemns.
It is no coincidence that the position in the Koran at Surah 13
reflects the system of Rebellion against the Laws of God that was, and was to
be a feature of the Arab peoples, and the world generally (cf. the paper Symbolism of Numbers (No. 007)).
The preceding twelve Surahs concern the creation, the position of Messiah and
the elect, and the prophets acting as messengers to mankind in the rebellion
and mankind’s refusal to follow the Laws of God.
*****
13.1. Alif. Lam. Mim. Ra. These are verses of the
Scripture. That which is revealed unto thee from thy Lord is the Truth, but
most of mankind believe not.
Again we are given Scripture but most of mankind rejects them as does
the entire Arab peoples, and to this very day.
Psalm 119:160 The sum of your word
is truth, and every one of your righteous rules endures forever.
John 17:17 Sanctify them in the truth; your word is
truth.
Psalm 53:3 They have all fallen
away; together they have become corrupt; there is none who does good, not even
one.
13.2. Allah it is Who raised up the heavens without
visible supports, then mounted the Throne, and compelled the sun and the moon
to be of service, each runneth unto an appointed term; He ordereth the course;
He detaileth the revelations, that haply ye may be certain of the meeting with
your Lord.
Psalm 104:2-3 covering yourself
with light as with a garment, stretching out the heavens like a tent. 3He
lays the beams of his chambers on the waters; he makes the clouds his chariot;
he rides on the wings of the wind;
Job 26:7 He stretches out the
north over the void and hangs the earth on nothing.
Psalm 18:10 He rode on a cherub
and flew; he came swiftly on the wings of the wind.
Psalm 93:2 Your throne is established from of
old; you are from everlasting.(ESV)
Psalm 19:6 Its rising is from
the end of the heavens, and its circuit to the end of them, and there is
nothing hidden from its heat.
Psalm 104:19 He made the moon to
mark the seasons; the sun knows its time for setting.
2Corinthians 5:10 For we must all
appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is
due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.
13.3. And He it is Who spread out the earth and placed
therein firm hills and flowing streams, and of all fruits He placed therein two
spouses (male and female). He covereth the night with the day. Lo! herein
verily are portents for people who take thought.
There was no doubt in the mind of the Prophet about the calendar and
its determination as we see in the papers God’s Calendar (No. 156)
and the Hebrew and Islamic Calendar
Reconciled (No. 053).
Psalm 104:5-9 He
set the earth on its foundations, so that it should never be moved. 6You
covered it with the deep as with a garment; the waters stood above the
mountains. 7At your rebuke they fled; at the sound of your thunder
they took to flight. 8The mountains rose, the valleys sank down to
the place that you appointed for them. 9You set a boundary that they
may not pass, so that they might not again cover the earth.
Genesis 1:11-12 Then God said, “Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees on the earth bearing fruit after their kind with seed in them”; and it was so. 12The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit with seed in them, after their kind; and God saw that it was good. (NASB)
Deuteronomy 8:7-8 "For the LORD your God is bringing you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and springs, flowing forth in valleys and hills; 8a land of wheat and barley, of vines and fig trees and pomegranates, a land of olive oil and honey; (NASB)
Psalm 1:3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. (ESV)
Jeremiah 17:8 He is like a tree planted by
water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat
comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought,
for it does not cease to bear fruit.”(ESV)
Genesis 1:27 So God created man
in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he
created them.
Psalm 8:3 When I look at your
heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set
in place,
Psalm 136:7-9 to him who made the great lights, for his
steadfast love endures forever; 8the sun to rule over the day, for
his steadfast love endures forever; 9the moon and stars to rule over
the night, for his steadfast love endures forever;
13.4. And in the Earth are neighbouring tracts, vineyards
and ploughed lands, and date-palms, like and unlike, which are watered with one
water. And we have made some of them to excel others in fruit. Lo! herein
verily are portents for people who have sense.
Deuteronomy 6:10-11 "Then
it shall come about when the LORD your God brings you into the land which He
swore to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, to give you, great and
splendid cities which you did not build, 11and houses full of all good things which you did not fill, and hewn
cisterns which you did not dig, vineyards and olive trees which you did not
plant, and you eat and are satisfied, (NASB)
Psalm 65:10 You drench the plowed ground with rain, melting the clods and leveling the ridges. You soften the earth with showers and bless its abundant crops. (NLT)
Nehemiah 8:15 So they proclaimed and circulated a proclamation in all their cities and in Jerusalem, saying, "Go out to the hills, and bring olive branches and wild olive branches, myrtle branches, palm branches and branches of other leafy trees, to make booths, as it is written." (NASB)
Isaiah 4:2 In that day shall the branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the land shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel. (ERV)
13.5. And if thou wonderest, then wondrous is their
saying: When we are dust, are we then forsooth (to be raised) in a new
creation? Such are they who disbelieve in their Lord; such have carcans on
their necks; such are rightful owners of the Fire, they will abide therein.
The reference again to the Resurrection of the dead to be raised as a
new creation is a reference text again to the obedience of the elect to God for
the Resurrection of the Dead.
Anyone who says that when the die they go to heaven is neither a
Christian nor a Muslim as the Bible and the Koran teach the same regarding the
Resurrection of the Dead. Such people are idolatrous Gnostics.
Isaiah 26:19 Your dead shall live; their bodies shall rise. You who dwell in the dust, awake and sing for joy! For your dew is a dew of light, and the earth will give birth to the dead. (ESV)
Daniel 12:2 And many of those
who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and
some to shame and everlasting contempt.
Revelation 20:11-15 Then I saw a great white
throne and him who was seated on it. From his presence earth and sky fled away,
and no place was found for them. 12And I saw the dead,
great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then
another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by
what was written in the books, according to what they had done. 13And
the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who
were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they
had done. 14Then
Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death,
the lake of fire. 15And if anyone’s name was not found written in the
book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. (ESV)
13.6. And they bid thee hasten on the evil rather than the
good, when exemplary punishments have indeed occurred before them. But lo! thy
Lord is rich in pardon for mankind despite their wrong, and lo! thy Lord is
strong in punishment.
13.7. Those who disbelieve say: If only some portent were
sent down upon him from his Lord! Thou art a warner only, and for every folk a
guide.
Colossians 3:25 For the wrongdoer
will be paid back for the wrong he has done, and there is no partiality.
Micah 7:18 Who is a God like you, pardoning
iniquity and passing over transgression for the remnant of his inheritance? He
does not retain his anger forever, because he delights in steadfast love. (ESV)
Matthew 24:36 But concerning that
day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the
Father only.
Habakkuk 2:3 For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay. (ESV)
2Peter 3:3-4 knowing this first
of all, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their
own sinful desires. 4They will say, "Where is the promise of
his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing
as they were from the beginning of creation."
2Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow
to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not
wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.
The messenger delivers the warning and the Almighty God brings about
the punishment. Over the next few years the prophets will deliver the warning
to the world and every priest or minister or imam, or sheik that teaches
against the Laws of God and the Temple Calendar and fails to keep the Sabbaths
of God and teaches false doctrine will be warned and then when Messiah comes and
the prophets of God (incl. The Arabian Prophet) stand with him they will kill
every false prophet and teacher of heresy without exception. No one will enter
the Millennium teaching false doctrine and contrary to the Laws of God.
13.8. Allah knoweth that which every female beareth and
that which the wombs absorb and that which they grow. And everything with Him
is measured.
13.9. He is the Knower of the Invisible and the Visible,
the Great, the High Exalted.
This reference is to the young and the infants that are aborted and
murdered. They will be recovered and resurrected also. At the time of the
prophets Becca was a slaughter house of the unborn
and the infants of the tribes slaughtered for Molech or Hubal, as the nations
do to this day. We shall not pass our children through the fire to Molech.
Psalm 139:13-15 For you formed my
inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. 14I
praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works;
my soul knows it very well. 15My frame was not hidden from you, when
I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
Colossians 1:16 For by him all things were
created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or
dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for
him. (ESV)
Psalm 95:3 For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods. (ESV)
Psalm 97:9 For you, O LORD, are
most high over all the earth; you are exalted far above all gods.
Psalm 135:5 For I know that the LORD is great, and that our Lord is above all gods. (ESV)
Thus the elohim were created by the One True God.
13.10. Alike of you is he who hideth the saying and he who noiseth it abroad,
he who lurketh in the night and he who goeth freely in the daytime.
Alike are all those who do not keep the
commandments of God and the Faith and Testimony of Jesus Christ. Those of the
elect or saints are those that do (Rev. 12:17; 14:12).
Hebrews 4:13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable. (NLT)
Revelation
22:15 Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and the sexually immoral and
murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.
Messianic Texts
Messiah is guarded by Allah’s command by
angels ahead and behind as we see below. Repentance is required before
blessings occur.
13.11. For him are
angels ranged before him and behind him, who guard him by Allah's command. Lo!
Allah changeth not the condition of a folk until they (first) change that which
is in their hearts; and if Allah willeth misfortune for a folk there is none
that can repel it, nor have they a defender beside Him.
Psalm 139:5 You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me. (ESV)
Psalm 34:7 The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them. (ESV)
Romans 8:5 For those
who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but
those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the
Spirit.
Change can only come about if we work actively to change. We need to make the
choice to seek after God. If we are happy with the status quo no change will
take place.
Philippians
3:19 Their end is destruction, their god is their belly, and they glory in
their shame, with minds set on earthly things.
Jeremiah
17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can
understand it?
Isaiah
14:27 For the LORD of hosts has purposed, and who will annul it? His hand is
stretched out, and who will turn it back?
Job 9:4 "Wise in heart and mighty in strength, Who has defied Him without harm? (NASB)
13.12. He it is Who showeth you the lightning, a fear and a hope, and raiseth
the heavy clouds.
Psalm 97:4-6
His lightnings light up the world; the earth sees and trembles. 5The
mountains melt like wax before the LORD, before the Lord of all the earth. 6The
heavens proclaim his righteousness, and all the peoples see his glory.
Ecclesiastes 11:3 If the clouds are full of rain, they empty themselves on the earth, and if a tree falls to the south or to the north, in the place where the tree falls, there it will lie. (ESV)
Jeremiah 10:13 When he thunders, the waters in the heavens roar; he makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth. He sends lightning with the rain and brings out the wind from his storehouses. (NIV)
Messiah is lauded here and the creation
sings his praise in the thunder and lightning.
13.13. The thunder
hymneth His praise and (so do) the angels for awe of Him. He launcheth the
thunderbolts and smiteth with them whom He will while they dispute (in doubt)
concerning Allah, and He is mighty in wrath.
Psalm
148:2-4 Praise him, all his angels; praise him, all his hosts! 3Praise
him, sun and moon, praise him, all you shining stars! 4Praise him,
you highest heavens, and you waters above the heavens!
Job 34:22 There is
no gloom or deep darkness where evildoers may hide themselves.
Job 42:2 I know
that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted.
Job 9:4 Wise in heart and mighty in strength,
Who has defied Him without harm?(NASB)
This text then goes on to the matter of
prayer to direct those in doubt concerning Allah and the object of true prayer.
13.14. Unto Him is the real prayer. Those unto whom they pray beside Allah
respond to them not at all, save as (is the response to) one who stretcheth
forth his hands toward water (asking) that it may come unto his mouth, and it
will never reach it. The prayer of disbelievers goeth (far) astray.
God does not respond to prayer to others
besides Him. Thus the text is clear direction to pray only to God and not to
the Messiah.
Psalm
121:1-2 A Song of Ascents. I lift up my eyes
to the hills. From where does my help come? 2My help comes from the
LORD, who made heaven and earth.
Psalm
135:15-18 The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of human hands. 16They
have mouths, but do not speak; they have eyes, but do not see; 17they
have ears, but do not hear, nor is there any breath in their mouths. 18Those
who make them become like them, so do all who trust in them.
Jeremiah 2:11 Has a nation changed its gods, even though they are no gods? But my people have changed their glory for that which does not profit. (ERV)
Isaiah 37:18-19 Truly, O LORD, the kings of
Assyria have laid waste all the nations and their lands, 19and have
cast their gods into the fire. For they were no gods, but the work of men’s
hands, wood and stone. Therefore they were destroyed. (ESV)
All worship is to the One True God Eloah and
no one else.
13.15. And unto Allah
falleth prostrate whosoever is in the heavens and the earth, willingly or
unwillingly, as do their shadows in the morning and the evening hours.
Revelation 4:10-11 the twenty-four elders fall
down before him who is seated on the throne and worship him who lives forever
and ever. They cast their crowns before the throne, saying, 11“Worthy
are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you
created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.” (ESV)
Revelation 7:11-12 And all the angels
were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living
creatures, and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12saying, “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and
honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever! Amen.” (ESV)
Romans 14:11 for it is written,
“As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall
confess to God.” (ESV)
Philippians 2:9-11 Therefore God has
highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, 10so
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and
under the earth,11and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is
Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (ESV)
Psalm 102:11 My days are like an evening shadow; I wither away like grass. (ESV)
Job 14:2 He comes out like a flower and
withers; he flees like a shadow and continues not. (ESV)
13.16. Say (O Muhammad): Who is Lord of the heavens and the
earth? Say: Allah. Say: Take ye then (others) beside Him for protectors, which,
even for themselves, have neither benefit nor hurt? Say: Is the blind man equal
to the seer, or is darkness equal to light? Or assign they unto Allah partners
who created the like of His creation so that the creation (which they made and
His creation) seemed alike to them? Say: Allah is the Creator of all things,
and He is the One, the Almighty.
In the 20th century even in the Body of Christ these
idolaters began prayer to Messiah in spite of Christ’s teachings. So also do
they pray contrary to the Koran in some instances and it is getting worse.
2Chronicles 20:6 and said, "O
LORD, God of our fathers, are you not God in heaven? You rule over all the
kingdoms of the nations. In your hand are power and might, so that none is able
to withstand you.
Psalm 135:15-18 The idols of the
nations are silver and gold, the work of human hands. 16They have
mouths, but do not speak; they have eyes, but do not see; 17they
have ears, but do not hear, nor is there any breath in their mouths. 18Those
who make them become like them, so do all who trust in them.
Isaiah 45:12 I made the earth and created man on it; it
was my hands that stretched out the heavens, and I commanded all their host.
Isaiah 46:9 remember the former
things of old; for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none
like me,
Jeremiah 10:5 Their idols are like scarecrows in a cucumber field, and they cannot speak; they have to be carried, for they cannot walk. Do not be afraid of them, for they cannot do evil, neither is it in them to do good.” (ESV)
2Corinthians 6:14 Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? (ESV)
Nehemiah 9:6 You are the LORD, you alone. You
have made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth and all
that is on it, the seas and all that is in them; and you preserve all of them;
and the host of heaven worships you. (ESV)
13.17. He sendeth down water from the sky, so that valleys
flow according to their measure, and the flood beareth (on its surface)
swelling foam - from that which they smelt in the fire in order to make
ornaments and tools riseth a foam like unto it - thus Allah coineth (the
similitude of) the true and the false. Then, as for the foam, it passeth away
as scum upon the banks, while, as for that which is of use to mankind, it
remaineth in the earth. Thus Allah coineth the similitudes.
God thus controls and regulates the creation.
Psalm 37:9 For the evildoers
shall be cut off, but those who wait for the LORD shall inherit the land.
Isaiah 40:8 The grass withers, the flower
fades, but the word of our God will stand forever. (ESV)
Matthew 6:19-20 Do not lay up for yourselves
treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and
steal, 20but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where
neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. (ESV)
2Corinthians 4:18 as we look not to the things
that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen
are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal. (ESV)
1Timothy 4:8 for while bodily training is of some value,
godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life
and also for the life to come.
Psalm 37:28 For the LORD loves justice; he will not
forsake his saints. They are preserved forever, but the children of the wicked
shall be cut off.
Hebrews 1:10-12 And, “You, Lord, laid the
foundation of the earth in the beginning, and the heavens are the work of your
hands; 11they will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out
like a garment, 12 like a robe you will roll them up, like a garment
they will be changed. But you are the same, and your years will have no end.” (ESV)
1John 2:17 And the world is passing away along
with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever. (ESV)
In the end what is of value will remain, the rest will disappear. The
foam or the vapour will not last long.
13.18. For those who answered Allah's call is bliss; and
for those who answered not His call, if they had all that is in the earth, and
therewith the like thereof, they would proffer it as ransom. Such will have a
woeful reckoning, and their habitation will be hell, a dire abode.
13.19. Is he who knoweth that what is revealed unto thee
from thy Lord is the truth like him who is blind? But only men of understanding
heed;
13.20. Such as keep the pact of Allah, and break not the
covenant;
Thus all men must keep the covenant of God, or they must die and remain
in the grave awaiting the Resurrection of Judgment. Those who are called by God
keep the covenant of which the Sabbath is a sign (S4:154).
Daniel 12:2 And many of those
who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and
some to shame and everlasting contempt.
2Corinthians 4:4 In their case the
god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from
seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
Acts 26:18 to open their eyes, so that they may turn
from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may
receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith
in me.'
Matthew 5:6 Blessed are those
who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
Psalm 49:7-8 No man
can by any means redeem his brother Or give to God a ransom for him-- 8For the redemption of his
soul is costly, And he should cease trying forever, (NASB)
2Corinthians 6:14-16 Don't team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness? 15What harmony can there be between Christ and the devil? How can a believer be a partner with an unbeliever? 16And what union can there be between God's temple and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God said: "I will live in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they will be my people. (NLT)
Proverbs 16:20 Whoever gives heed to instruction prospers, and blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD. (NIV)
Exodus 19:5 Now therefore, if you will indeed
obey my voice and keep my covenant, you shall be my treasured possession among
all peoples, for all the earth is mine; (ESV)
Those left to stray will die in their sins and go to the Second
Resurrection. The faithful will be with the Lord in the First Resurrection.
13.21. Such as unite that which Allah hath commandeth
should be joined, and fear their Lord, and dread a woeful reckoning;
13.22. Such as persevere in seeking their Lord's
Countenance and are regular in prayer and spend of that which We bestow upon
them secretly and openly, and overcome evil with good. Theirs will be the
sequel of the (heavenly) Home,
13.23. Gardens of Eden which they enter, along with all who
do right of their fathers and their helpmeets and their seed. The angels enter unto them from every
gate,
13.24. (Saying): Peace be unto you
because ye persevered. Ah, passing sweet will be the sequel of the (heavenly)
Home.
The word “(Heavenly)” has been added to the text, when the Home is the
Heavenly Jerusalem which is to come to the earth as the City of God (Rev. chs 21-22) (cf. the paper The City of God (No. 180)).
God will come here to the earth and rule the universe from here once the human
phase is over.
Hebrews 10:24-25 And
let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25not neglecting to meet together, as
is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see
the Day drawing near. (ESV)
Galatians 6:9 And let us not grow
weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
James 1:12 Blessed is the man who remains steadfast
under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life,
which God has promised to those who love him.
1Corinthians 2:9 But, as it is
written, "What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man
imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him"
Deuteronomy 5:33 You shall walk in
all the way that the LORD your God has commanded you, that you may live, and
that it may go well with you, and that you may live long in the land that you
shall possess.
Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please
him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he
rewards those who seek him.
1Peter 5:6 Humble yourselves,
therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt
you,
The covenant keepers, those who observe the commandments and the testimony of
Jesus, will receive eternal life and be in the first garden of paradise i.e.
the First Resurrection.
13.25. And those who break the covenant of Allah after
ratifying it, and sever that which Allah hath commanded should be joined, and
make mischief in the earth: theirs is the curse and theirs the ill abode.
Thus the breach of the Covenant of God is punished and they face the
Second Resurrection of Judgement and Correction.
2Kings 17:15,18 15They rejected His statutes and His covenant which He made with their fathers and His warnings with which He warned them. And they followed vanity and became vain, and went after the nations which surrounded them, concerning which the LORD had commanded them not to do like them.
18So the LORD was very angry with Israel and removed them from His sight; none was left except the tribe of Judah. (NASB)
2Kings 18:11-12 Then
the king of Assyria carried Israel away into exile to Assyria, and put them in Halah and on the Habor, the river
of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes, 12because they did not obey the
voice of the LORD their God, but transgressed His covenant, even all that Moses
the servant of the LORD commanded; they would neither listen nor do it. (NASB)
Hebrews 10:26-29 For if we go on
sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no
longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27but
a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the
adversaries. 28Anyone who has set aside the law of Moses dies
without mercy on the evidence of two or three witnesses. 29How much
worse punishment, do you think, will be deserved by the one who has trampled
underfoot the Son of God, and has profaned the blood of the covenant by which
he was sanctified, and has outraged the Spirit of grace?
Luke 9:62 Jesus said to him,
"No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the
kingdom of God."
2Peter 2:20 For if, after they
have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and
Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the last
state has become worse for them than the first.
So we are given clear direction in many texts. Those who fail to keep
their covenant with God and encourage lawlessness will face corrective education
in the Second Resurrection to bring them to repentance, but if they do not
repent they will face the second death.
13.26. Allah enlargeth livelihood for whom He will, and
straiteneth (it for whom He will); and they rejoice in the life of the world,
whereas the life of the world is but brief comfort as compared with the
Hereafter.
Romans 9:15 For he says to
Moses, "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion
on whom I have compassion."
James 4:14 yet you do not know
what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears
for a little time and then vanishes.
2Corinthians 4:18 as we look not to
the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that
are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.
13.27. Those who disbelieve say: If only a portent were
sent down upon him from his Lord! Say: Lo! Allah sendeth whom He will astray,
and guideth unto Himself all who turn (unto Him),
Luke 16:31 He said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the Prophets, neither will they be convinced if someone should rise from the dead.’ (ESV)
Psalm 25:12 Who is the man who
fears the LORD? Him will he instruct in the way that he should choose.
1Corinthians 6:9 Or do you not know
that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived:
neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who
practice homosexuality,
Psalm 81:11-12 But my people did
not listen to my voice; Israel would not submit to me. 12So I gave them
over to their stubborn hearts, to follow their own counsels.
Isaiah 48:18 Oh that you had paid attention to my commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea; (ESV)
13.28. Who have believed and whose hearts have rest in the
remembrance of Allah. Verily in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest!
13.29. Those who believe and do right: Joy is for them, and
bliss (their) journey's end.
Malachi 3:16 Then those who feared the LORD spoke with one another. The LORD paid attention and heard them, and a book of remembrance was written before him of those who feared the LORD and esteemed his name. (ESV)
Matthew 19:29 And everyone who has
left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands,
for my name's sake, will receive a hundredfold and will inherit eternal life.
Romans 2:13 For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law who will be justified. (ESV)
James 1:25 But the one who looks into the
perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets
but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing. (ESV)
Revelation 22:12 Behold, I am coming
soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done.
Galatians 6:9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for
in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
13.30. Thus We send thee (O Muhammad) unto a nation, before
whom other nations have passed away, that thou mayst recite unto them that
which We have inspired in thee, while they are disbelievers in the Beneficent.
Say: He is my Lord; there is no God save Him. In Him do I put my trust and unto
Him is my recourse.
Many nations would have passed away before this messenger came onto the
scene. The messenger’s duty is to deliver the message; hopefully some will
believe. This it was with all the prophets and the plan of God requires the
prophets of the last days to continue and warn all of those who do not keep the
Laws of God and the Testimony or Faith of Messiah.
Ecclesiastes 7:20 Surely there is not
a righteous man on earth who does good and never sins.
Romans
3:11 no one understands; no one seeks for God.

the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. 16Whoever
believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be
condemned. (ESV)

none like you, O LORD, and there is no God besides you, according to all that
we have heard with our ears.
Psalm 118:8-9 It is better to take refuge in the LORD Than to trust in man. 9It is better to take refuge in the LORD Than to trust in princes. (NASB)
Acts 20:21 I have declared to both Jews and
Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord
Jesus. (NIV)
13.31. Had it been possible for a Lecture to cause the
mountains to move, or the earth to be torn asunder, or the dead to speak, (this
Qur'an would have done so). Nay, but Allah's is the whole command. Do not those
who believe know that, had Allah willed, He could have guided all mankind? As
for those who disbelieve, disaster ceaseth not to strike them because of what
they do, or it dwelleth near their home until the threat of Allah come to pass.
Lo! Allah faileth not to keep the tryst.
The text has been added to and made to appear as though the Koran is
being put forward but it refers to the Law of God and the responsibility to
keep all the law and the Prophets which these idolaters proceeded to destroy as
soon as the Prophet and the Rightly Guided Caliphs were dead and they helped
that along by killing these last ones of the faith, Ali and Hussein.
Job 42:2 I know that you can
do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted.
John 16:13 When the Spirit of
truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his
own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you
the things that are to come.
Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it
is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe
that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
Isaiah 3:11 Woe to the wicked!
It shall be ill with him, for what his hands have dealt out shall be done to
him.
Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God proves true; he is a shield
to those who take refuge in him.
Deuteronomy 31:6 "Be strong and
courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the LORD your God is the
one who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you." (NASB)
13.32. And verily messengers (of Allah) were mocked before
thee, but long I bore with those who disbelieved. At length I seized them, and
how (awful) was My punishment!
The prophets of God have been killed over the centuries and they will
be killed again in the next few years.
2Chronicles 36:15-16 The LORD, the God of their fathers, sent word to them again and again by His messengers, because He had compassion on His people and on His dwelling place; 16but they continually mocked the messengers of God, despised His words and scoffed at His prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against His people, until there was no remedy. (NASB)
Nehemiah 9:30 "However, You bore with them for many years, And admonished them by Your Spirit through Your prophets, Yet they would not give ear. Therefore You gave them into the hand of the peoples of the lands. (NASB)
Jeremiah 7:25-26 "Since the day that your fathers came out of the land of Egypt until this day, I have sent you all My servants the prophets, daily rising early and sending them. 26"Yet they did not listen to Me or incline their ear, but stiffened their neck; they did more evil than their fathers. (NASB)
1Thessalonians 2:15 who killed both the
Lord Jesus and the prophets, and drove us out, and displease God and oppose all
mankind
Acts 7:52 Which of the prophets did your fathers not
persecute? And they killed those who announced beforehand the coming of the
Righteous One, whom you have now betrayed and murdered,
Israel and Judah were sent into captivity for their sins. The sons of Shem are
proceeding to kill themselves now and the world will destroy itself as will the
nations. If the One True God did not send Messiah there would be no flesh saved
alive.
13.33. Is He Who is aware of the deserts of every soul (as
he who is aware of nothing)? Yet they ascribe unto Allah partners. Say: Name
them. Is it that ye would inform Him of something which He knoweth not in the
earth? Or is it but a way of speaking? Nay but their contrivance is made
seeming fair for those who disbelieve and they are kept from the right road. He
whom Allah sendeth astray, for him there is no guide.
13.34. For them is torment in the life of the world, and
verily the doom of the Hereafter is more painful, and they have no defender
from Allah.
Hebrews 4:13 And no creature is
hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom
we must give account.
Psalm 135:15-18 The idols of the
nations are silver and gold, the work of human hands. 16They have
mouths, but do not speak; they have eyes, but do not see; 17they
have ears, but do not hear, nor is there any breath in their mouths. 18Those
who make them become like them, so do all who trust in them.

seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.

earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting

Numbers 14:9 Only rebel not against the LORD,
neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their
defence is removed from over them, and the LORD is with us: fear them not. (ERV)
Going astray will lead to ruin in this life and take the person to the Second
Resurrection. Those of the elect saints who keep the Law and the Testimony will
be given the First Resurrection.
13.35. A similitude of the Garden which is promised unto
those who keep their duty (to Allah): Underneath it rivers flow; its food is
everlasting, and its shade; this is the reward of those who keep their duty,
while the reward of disbelievers is the Fire.
John 5:28-29 Do not marvel at
this, for an hour is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear his voice 29and
come out, those who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those who
have done evil to the resurrection of judgment.
Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years. (ESV)
See also Revelation 20:11-15 as above.
The Scriptures are again key to understanding the Faith and it is these
Scriptures that are used by the church under the Prophet as we now see.
13.36. Those unto whom We gave the Scripture rejoice in that
which is revealed unto thee. And of the clans there are who deny some of it.
Say: I am commanded only that I serve Allah and ascribe unto Him no partner.
Unto Him I cry, and unto Him is my return.
Psalm 40:4 Blessed is the man
who makes the LORD his trust, who does not turn to the proud, to those who go
astray after a lie!
Proverbs 16:20 Whoever gives
thought to the word will discover good, and blessed is he who trusts in the
LORD.
Titus 1:16 They profess to know God, but they deny him by their works. They are detestable, disobedient, unfit for any good work.(ESV)
Romans 1:25, 28 25because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.
28And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.(ESV)
Exodus 20:3 You shall have no other gods before me. (NIV)
Exodus 34:14 Do not worship any other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God. (NIV)
Acts 20:21 I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus. (NIV)
13.37. Thus have We revealed it, a decisive utterance in
Arabic; and if thou shouldst follow their desires after that which hath come
unto thee of knowledge, then truly wouldst thou have from Allah no protecting
friend nor defender.
The Koran or Qur’an was the first real development of the Arabic
language developing from Eastern Aramaic. The Scriptures were available in Hebrew,
Aramaic and Greek then Latin and then Arabic.
They were never lost and only an academic fraud would claim that to be
the case.
Hebrews 10:26-27 For if we go on
sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no
longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27but a fearful expectation of
judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries.
Psalm 118:8-9 It is better to take refuge in the LORD Than to trust in man. 9It is better to take refuge in the LORD Than to trust in princes. (NASB)
Psalm 18:2 The LORD is my rock and my fortress
and my deliverer, My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the
horn of my salvation, my stronghold. (NASB)
13.38. And verily We sent messengers (to mankind) before
thee, and We appointed for them wives and offspring, and it was not (given) to
any messenger that he should bring a portent save by Allah's leave. For
everything there is a time prescribed.
The appointment and distribution of the Churches of God under the
Apostles and the Seventy is shown in the paper Fate of the Twelve Apostles (No.
122B).
Matthew 12:39 But he answered them,
"An evil and adulterous generation seeks for a sign, but no sign will be
given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.
Ecclesiastes 3:17 I said in my heart, God will
judge the righteous and the wicked, for there is a time for every matter and
for every work.(ESV)
The messenger’s duty is to only convey the message. Judah was given 40 years to
repent but they did not do so and were sent into captivity. Then the world was
given 40 jubilees to repent and will be sent into captivity under Messiah and
the Host (cf. the paper The Sign of Jonah and the History
of the Reconstruction of the Temple (No. 013) and Commentary on Jonah
(No. F032)).
13.39. Allah effaceth what He will, and establisheth (what
He will), and with Him is the source of ordinance.
Thus Eloah, Ha Elohim,
the One True God establishes and removes
what He Wills and He is the source of the law and thus it cannot be done away.
Scripture cannot be broken (Jn. 10:34-36).
Psalm 115:3 Our God is in the
heavens; he does all that he pleases.
Lamentations 3:37 Who has spoken and
it came to pass, unless the Lord has commanded it?
13.40. Whether We let thee see something of that which We
have promised them, or make thee die (before its happening), thine is but
conveyance (of the message). Ours the reckoning.
Thus the prophets deliver the message and live or die according to the
will of God and it serves whatever purpose He Wills.
Ezekiel 3:17 Son of man, I have
made you a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from my
mouth, you shall give them warning from me.
Ezekiel 33:6 But if the watchman sees the sword coming and
does not blow the trumpet, so that the people are not warned, and the sword
comes and takes any one of them, that person is taken away in his iniquity, but
his blood I will require at the watchman's hand.
Romans 14:12 So then
each of us will give an account of himself to God. (ESV)
1Peter 4:5 but they will give account to him
who is ready to judge the living and the dead. (ESV)
13.41. See they not how we aim to the land, reducing it of
its outlying parts? (When) Allah doometh there is none that can postpone His
doom, and He is swift at reckoning.
The call to repentance cannot be ignored or refused. The result is death.
2Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow
to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not
wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.
Habakkuk 2:3 For still the vision awaits its
appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait
for it; it will surely come; it will not delay. (ESV)

poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; and he shall strike the
earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips he shall kill
the wicked. (ESV)
Isaiah 13:11 I will punish the
world for its evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; I will put an end to the
pomp of the arrogant, and lay low the pompous pride of the ruthless.
13.42. Those who were before them plotted; but all plotting
is Allah's. He knoweth that which each soul earneth. The disbelievers will come
to know for whom will be the sequel of the (heavenly) Home.
Once again the word “heavenly” has been added to the text. The Home is
to be sent and will be established at the area of Jerusalem and the Garden of
Eden as the City of God.
Isaiah 3:11 Woe to the wicked!
It shall be ill with him, for what his hands have dealt out shall be done to
him.
Isaiah 23:9 The LORD of hosts has purposed it, to defile
the pompous pride of all glory, to dishonor all the honored of the earth.
Revelation 20:4-6 Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom the authority to judge was committed. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. 5The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years. (ESV)
13.43. They who disbelieve say: Thou art no messenger (of
Allah). Say: Allah, and whosoever hath knowledge of the Scripture, is
sufficient witness between me and you.
1John 5:9 if we receive the testimony of men, the
testimony of God is greater, for this is the testimony of God that he has borne
concerning his Son.
Acts 22:15 for you will be a witness
for him to everyone of what you have seen and heard.
Isaiah 43:10 "You are my witnesses," declares
the LORD, "and my servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and
believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor shall there
be any after me.
Ignore the prophets of God at your own peril. Soon you will
face them and then face the Messiah. He will come to Jerusalem and take it over
and rule us all with a rod of iron.
