Commentary on
the Koran:
Surah 10 “Yunis”
or “Jonah”
(Edition 2.0 20170717-20200512-20210620)
Surah
10 is a prophecy as well as instructions to the Church of God in Arabia. The
failure and the incorrect application of the faith and the rejection of
Scripture was seen by the Prophet, and the One True God, Eloah, warned the new
Muslims what was to happen to the faith and to them with their attitude of
rejection of Scripture and that they would fail and be removed from the First
Resurrection. The text is taken point by point and through to the Sign of Jonah
and what is to happen not only to Hadithic Islam but also to the Church of God
in the Last Days.
The
Sign of Jonah is the only sign given to the church and the application of the
Sign of Jonah is critical to the understanding of the activities and the future
of the Church of God.

Commentary on
the Koran: Surah 10 “Yunis” or
“Jonah”
Pickthall’s translation with RSV biblical
quotes unless otherwise noted.
Introduction
Surah 10 “Yunis” or “Jonah” is a Late Beccan
Surah delivered in the last four years before the Hijrah (i.e. Post 618 to 622
CE). It derives its name from a reference to the prophet Jonah in verse 98
referring to the repentance and salvation of Nineveh: “If only there had been a
community (of those that were) destroyed of old that believed and profited by
its belief as did the folk of Jonah.”
The reference to Jonah is not a throwaway line. Messiah told us that no sign would be given
the church save that of the prophet Jonah. The entire sign covers from Jonah’s
warning to Nineveh and their repentance and then Messiah’s warning to Judah and
their failure to repent, and their destruction at the end of 40 years with the
complete destruction of the Temple and Jerusalem on 70 CE and the closure of
the Temple in Egypt at Heliopolis in the sacred year 70-71 CE, before Abib 71
CE, by order of Vespasian. The church
was begun with the baptism of Christ and the selection of the Apostles in 27 CE
with the mission of John the Baptist for one day’s journey and then the two
years preaching of Messiah from 28 to 30 CE, and then the Three days and Three
nights of Messiah in the Belly of the Earth as Jonah was in the belly of the
great fish. Both died and both were resurrected. Nineveh was given 40 days and
repented. Judah was given 40 years to 70
CE and did not repent and was destroyed. The end of the 40 Jubilees and the
time frame will be complete by 2027 (see The Sign of Jonah and the History
of the reconstruction of the Temple (No. 013)).
This Surah is a warning to the Arabs over their future idolatry. The
rejection of the other prophets and the Biblical texts was to cost them their
place in the First Resurrection. We will see in this Surah how there are
messengers to be sent all over the world from Christ and the Apostles and over
the 40 Jubilees from his ordination of the Seventy at Judea in 28-29 CE. In
this way the church sent prophets to every corner of the known world and then
beyond. He also warned them of obeying the prophets of God which they ignored
and invented the idolatrous shirk
that Muhammad (which was in fact the council of the church of which the Prophet
was chairman and leader) was the (only) prophet of God in contradiction to this
Surah.
The prophet is directing the comments to those who disregard the instructions
in the Koran. He then goes on to address the people who are the ones not
converted in Islam who disregard the Commandments of God and the faith and
Testimony of the Messiah and indeed the proper calendar of the Church of God
(cf. also S9 above) as undertaken in the Temple system and under Messiah and
the Apostles. It was in effect a prophecy of both the Hadithic total corruption
of Islam and its calendar and the later Church Calendar which came to use the
Babylonian intercalations in Hillel from the Jews that entered the Churches of
God in the 20th and 21st centuries.
The Surah takes God’s direction from the Creation in the faith and the
establishment of the sun and moon as regulator of God’s Calendar (No.
156) and the purpose of the Messiah as mediator between God and man by
the explicit direction of God. No one else can be mediator without the express
direction of God.
The Surah then goes on to explain the purpose of the calling. These
verses refer to the “Wise Scripture.” In
other words the Surah is referring back to Biblical Scripture and the Laws of
God.
The Prophet (Qasim) was a baptised authorised officer of the Church of
God established by Christ and the Apostles which church had been established in
the early First century from 30 CE. The Prophet was given the gift of prophecy
as messenger to Arabia. Beforehand the Apostles and the 70 had been sent all
over Parthia and India and the East including Arabia and the Middle East. The
Pagans had resisted it from that time. However, we had sent officers all over
the world from the 70 and then later many centuries before the church grew into the
force it became at Becca and Medina. Archbishop Meuses
of Abyssinia had established the church in China from India in the Fourth century.
However, by 1850 they had become Sabellianist and thus disqualified from the
First Resurrection until they repent, as is Hadithic Islam and as are the Binitarian/Ditheists and Trinitarians disqualified (see the
papers The Fate of the Twelve Apostles
(No. 122B); General Distribution of the
Sabbath-keeping Churches (No. 122); Role of the Fourth Commandment in
the Historical Sabbath-Keeping Churches of God (No. 170) and Establishment
of the Church under the Seventy (No. 122D)).

10.1. Alif. Lam. Ra. These are verses of the Wise
Scripture.
Hebrews 5:14 But solid food is for the mature, for those
who have their faculties trained by practice to distinguish good from evil.
2Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.(ESV)
10.2. Is it a wonder for mankind that We have inspired a
man among them, saying: Warn mankind and bring unto those who believe the good
tidings that they have a sure footing with their Lord? The disbelievers say:
Lo! this is a mere wizard.
So also the last warning is also to be sent from the church in
Dan/Ephraim to warn of the coming of the Messiah and the wars in the Middle
East in the Last Days and still they do not listen (Jer. 4:15-16) (cf. the
paper Warning of the Last Days (No.
044)).
Also 2Timothy 3:16 as above.
Deuteronomy
29:29 The secret things
belong to the LORD our God; but the things that are revealed belong to us and
to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.
Deuteronomy 18:15 The LORD your God will raise
up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your brothers—it is to him
you shall listen. (ESV)
Acts 3:22 Moses said, ‘The Lord God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your brothers. You shall listen to him in whatever he tells you. (ESV)
John 5:30 I can do nothing on my own. As I
hear, I judge, and my judgment is just, because I seek not my own will but the
will of him who sent me. (ESV)
Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, (ESV)
10.3. Lo! your Lord is Allah Who created the heavens and
the earth in six Days, then He established Himself upon the Throne, directing
all things. There is no intercessor (with Him) save after His permission. That is Allah, your Lord, so worship
Him. Oh, will ye not remind?
The Intercessor created by God through Divine Fiat is one person only,
i.e. the Messiah, and no salvation is possible save through Messiah at the
direction of God, which is the focus of this ayat.
Christ, which means the anointed one or the Messiah, was established as
the Mediator of a New Covenant between God and Man by God (Gal 3:19,20; 1 Tim.
2:5; Heb. 8:6, 9:15; 12:24).
The purpose of this ayat is to reinforce the
role that the Messiah plays at the direction of God as the intercessor between
man and God who creates and controls all things.
The ayat is a direct reference to the role of
the Messiah foretold by God through the prophet Isaiah in Isaiah chapter 53 and
his role is at 53:12. The necessity for intercession is at Jeremiah (Jer.
27:18). These intercessions are also made by the Holy Spirit for us through
Christ. No one else can do this (Rom. 8:26,27,34; 11:2; Heb. 7:25).
Until those relying on the Koran understand this concept and function
they can never attain salvation as one of the elect in the First Resurrection.
Indeed most of Islam do not even understand there is such a thing as the First
Resurrection. The Prophet and indeed no prophet of history or any council of
the Muhammad, which is the Church of God, can take the place of the Messiah in
Scripture or in creation. Every human being depends on the Messiah for
mediation or intercession with the One True God.
None of us can come to God through the Arabian Prophet or any other
person; none whatsoever. Salvation is only by baptism in the Body of Messiah as
directed by God and with hands laid on for receipt of the Holy Spirit. Very few
Muslims understand this fact and most that do are Shia adherents. This text is
to negate the concept that there is intercession by any other person of the
faith. Yet the Imams would turn it on its head or ignore it as did the
Trinitarians who pray to the dead and to idols and by rote.
Exodus 20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and
earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day; therefore
the LORD blessed the sabbath day and hallowed it.
Isaiah 48:13 My hand laid the foundation of the earth, and
my right hand spread out the heavens; when I call to them, they stand forth
together.
10.4. Unto Him is the return of all of you; it is a
promise of Allah in truth. Lo! He produceth creation, then reproduceth it, that
He may reward those who believe and do good works with equity; while, as for
those who disbelieve, theirs will be a boiling drink and painful doom because
they disbelieved.
The purpose of this text is to negate the Trinitarian/Binitarian
concept that it was Christ that created the heavens and the earth and not God. The
original creation is narrated at Job 38:4-7 (cf. Prov. 30:4-5) and the earth
became tohu
and bohu (waste and void) and the elohim (or sons of God) were sent under Christ to
recreate the Age or Aion at the
direction of God as we see in Genesis 1:1-3. The Prophet covers this concept in
two verses and the Hadith does not comprehend any of it and nor do the Binitarian/Ditheists
or Trinitarians.
Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in
the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. (ESV)
Genesis 2:7 then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed
into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature. (ESV)
Genesis 3:19 In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread
till you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; you are dust, and
to dust you shall return.
Ecclesiastes 12:7 and the dust returns to the earth as it was,
and the spirit returns to God who gave it.
1Corinthians 15:45-46 Thus it is written,
"The first man Adam became a living being"; the last Adam became a
life-giving spirit. 46But it is not the spiritual which is first but
the physical, and then the spiritual.
John 5:28-29 Do not marvel at this, for an
hour is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear his voice 29and
come out, those who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those who
have done evil to the resurrection of judgment. (ESV)
The believers will be rewarded with a spiritual body at the First Resurrection.
Those who disbelieve will go to the Second Resurrection for retraining.
10.5. He it is Who appointed the sun a splendour and the
moon a light, and measured for her stages, that ye might know the number of the
years, and the reckoning. Allah created not (all) that save in truth. He
detaileth the revelations for people who have knowledge.
God set sun and moon cycles to measure the months, years and jubilees
and time sequences, and the revelations of Scripture so that the elect
understand through the Holy Spirit and are able to explain to the unbaptised
and those new to the faith. Without the Holy Spirit, as we have seen many times
above in previous Surahs, the eyes of the uncalled are shut and their ears are
deaf and they cannot see or hear or understand the Scriptures and the Koran.
Even with explanations the unbaptised of Islam and Trinitarian pseudo-Christianity
are simply blind to most of it. None of it is helped by their failure to study Scripture.
Genesis 1:14 And God said, "Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to separate the day from the night; and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years,
Isaiah 66:23 From new moon to new moon, and from sabbath
to sabbath, all flesh shall come to worship before me, says the LORD.
Psalm 104.19
Thou
hast made the moon to mark the seasons; the sun knows its time for setting.
Genesis 1:31 And God saw everything that he
had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was
morning, the sixth day. (ESV)
2Peter 3:18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen. (ESV)
The next ayat 6 explains this very fact that
for them it is like day and night. To those of the uncalled and unbaptised, being
not of the faith, all is like night and they see nothing yet to the elect it is
as day and they understand the faith and Scripture.
10.6. Lo! in the difference of day and night and all that
Allah hath created in the heavens and the earth are portents, verily, for folk
who ward off (evil).
The purpose of the sun and the
moon is to regulate the Calendar of God from one New Moon Conjunction to the next
New Moon Conjunction and the Moon unveils itself to the brilliant revelation of
the faith from the Conjunction of the Unseen God to His full glorification as
we saw in Surah 2. The crescent moon does not determine the calendar; it is the
finger of the Moon god and the goddess.
Romans 1:19-20 For what can be known about God is plain to
them, because God has shown it to them. 20Ever since the creation of
the world his invisible nature, namely, his eternal power and deity, has been
clearly perceived in the things that have been made. So they are without
excuse;
Psalm 19:1 To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. The heavens
are telling the glory of God; and the firmament proclaims his handiwork.
10.7. Lo! those who expect not the meeting with Us but
desire the life of the world and feel secure therein, and those who are
neglectful of Our revelations,
10.8. Their home will be the Fire because of what they
used to earn.
Psalm 39:4 LORD, let me know my end, and what is the
measure of my days; let me know how fleeting my life is!
2Corinthians 5:10 For we must all
appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive good or
evil, according to what he has done in the body.
John 5:28-29 Do not marvel at this, for an
hour is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear his voice 29and
come out, those who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those who
have done evil to the resurrection of judgment. (ESV)
See also Revelation 20:11-12
above at ayat 8.
Those who do not believe and remain in their sins will go to the Second
Resurrection.
10.9. Lo! those who believe and do good works, their Lord
guideth them by their faith. Rivers will flow beneath them in the Gardens of
Delight,
Matthew 16:27 or the Son of man is to come with his angels
in the glory of his Father, and then he will repay every man for what he has
done.
The elect will be admitted into the First Garden and inherit eternal
life. Everyone else will be retrained in the Second Resurrection.
Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years. (ESV)
Revelation 22:14 Blessed are those
who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and that
they may enter the city by the gates.
10.10. Their prayer therein will be: Glory be to Thee, O
Allah! and their greeting therein will be: Peace. And the conclusion of their
prayer will be: Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds!
Psalm 33:1 Rejoice in the LORD, O you righteous! Praise
befits the upright.
Revelation 4:11 “Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.” (ESV)
Psalm 147:1 Praise the LORD! For it is good to sing
praises to our God; for he is gracious, and a song of praise is seemly.
10.11. If Allah were to hasten on for men the ill (that
they have earned) as they would hasten on the good, their respite would already
have expired. But We suffer those who look not for the meeting with Us to
wander blindly on in their contumacy.
10.12. And if misfortune touch a man he crieth unto Us,
(while reclining) on his side, or sitting or standing, but when We have
relieved him of the misfortune he goeth his way as though he had not cried unto
Us because of a misfortune that afflicted him. Thus is what they do made
(seeming) fair unto the prodigal.
2Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow to fulfill his
promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any
should perish, but that all should reach repentance. (ESV)
Psalm 119:118 You reject all who wander from your statutes,
since their deceitfulness is vain. (ISV)
Psalm 81:11-12 But my people did not listen to my voice;
Israel would have none of me. 12So I gave them over to their
stubborn hearts, to follow their own counsels.
Psalm 106:13 But they soon forgot his works; they did not
wait for his counsel.
Proverbs 14:12 There is a way that seems right
to a man, but its end is the way to death. (ESV)
10.13. We destroyed the generations before you when they
did wrong; and their messengers (from Allah) came unto them with clear proofs
(of His Sovereignty) but they would not believe. Thus do We reward the guilty
folk.
The Scriptures recount what calamities overtook many generations that
did not heed the warnings of the messengers that were sent to warn them to
repent and mend their ways and return to the worship of the One True God.
Hebrews 11:7 By faith Noah, being warned by
God concerning events as yet unseen, in reverent fear constructed an ark for
the saving of his household. By this he condemned the world and became an heir
of the righteousness that comes by faith. (ESV)
Genesis 7:23 He blotted out every living thing
that was on the face of the ground, man and animals and creeping things and
birds of the heavens. They were blotted out from the earth. Only Noah was left,
and those who were with him in the ark. (ESV)
Jude 1:7 just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the
surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in sexual immorality and pursued
unnatural desire, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal
fire. (ESV)
Exodus 15:4 Pharaoh's chariots and his army He has cast into the sea; And the choicest of his officers are drowned in the Red Sea. (NAS)
Deuteronomy 11:4 and what He did to Egypt's army, to its horses and its chariots, when He made the water of the Red Sea to engulf them while they were pursuing you, and the LORD completely destroyed them; (NAS)
10.14. Then We appointed you viceroys in the earth after
them, that We might see how ye behave.
When one empire ended another took its place and this has gone on
throughout history. All have been on the high road to ruin and destruction.
10.15. And when Our clear revelations are recited unto
them, they who look not for the meeting with Us say: Bring a Lecture other than
this, or change it. Say (O Muhammad): It is not for me to change it of my
accord. I only follow that which is inspired in me. Lo! if I disobey my Lord I
fear the retribution of an awful Day.
People always look for signs when the signs are all around them.
Ancient Israel saw all the signs and miracles but still did not believe. The
Jews of Jesus' day saw all those miracles done among them by Messiah himself
but still did not repent.
The messenger has to deliver the message given, he cannot change the
message.
John 5:30 I can do nothing on my own. As I
hear, I judge, and my judgment is just, because I seek not my own will but the
will of him who sent me. (ESV)
10.16. Say: If Allah had so willed I should not have recited
it to you nor would He have made it known to you. I dwelt among you a whole
lifetime before it (came to me). Have ye then no sense?
A prophet is the voice of God sent with the message God gives them. All
are equal in the message they are given. In the last days there will be three
prophets sent before the Messiah is sent to save the elect and mankind in
general (Jer. 4:15-16; Rev. 11:3-13).
John 6:44 No one can come to me unless the Father who
sent me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day.
The Prophet pointed out that he had lived a whole lifetime
before he was called out by Allah for his mission (see below). Once sent it was
required of him to preach the message and make it known to them. It is the same with all the prophets.
1Corinthians 9:16-17 For if I preach the gospel, that gives me no ground for boasting. For necessity is laid upon me. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel! 17For if I do this of my own will, I have a reward, but if not of my own will, I am still entrusted with a stewardship. (ESV)
10.17. Who doeth greater wrong than he who inventeth a lie
concerning Allah and denieth His revelations? Lo! the guilty never are
successful.
2John 1:7 For many deceivers have gone out into the
world, men who will not acknowledge the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh;
such a one is the deceiver and the antichrist.
Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven
against all ungodliness and wickedness of men who by their wickedness suppress
the truth.
10.18. They worship beside Allah that which neither hurteth
them nor profiteth them, and they say: These are our intercessors with Allah.
Say: Would ye inform Allah of (something) that He knoweth not in the heavens or
in the earth? Praised be He and High Exalted above all that ye associate (with
Him)!
Deuteronomy 4:28 And there you will
serve gods of wood and stone, the work of men's hands, that neither see, nor
hear, nor eat, nor smell.
Jeremiah 10:5 Their idols are like scarecrows
in a cucumber field, and they cannot speak; they have to be carried, for they
cannot walk. Do not be afraid of them, for they cannot do evil, neither is it
in them to do good.” (ESV)
1John 3:20 whenever our hearts condemn us; for God is
greater than our hearts, and he knows everything.
Psalm 97:9 For you, O LORD, are most high over all the earth; you are exalted far above all gods. (ESV)
10.19. Mankind were but one community; then they differed;
and had it not been for a word that had already gone forth from thy Lord it had
been judged between them in respect of that wherein they differ.
Mankind was a single community before they became many nations.
Deuteronomy 32:8 When the Most High
gave to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of men, he
fixed the bounds of the peoples according to the number of the sons of God. (RSV,
DSS, LXX)
Genesis 11:6-8 And
the Lord said, “Behold, they are one people, and
they have all one language, and this is only the beginning of what they will
do. And nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them. 7Come, let us go down and there confuse their
language, so that they may not understand one another’s speech.” 8So the Lord
dispersed them from there over the face of all the earth, and they left off
building the city. (ESV)
False religion was set in motion a long time
ago and we now have people professing different beliefs. This confusion will be
ended with the Millennium, and then will recommence when Satan is released
again at the end of the thousand years of his imprisonment. The false system
will continue again until he is killed with the demons and all people are
resurrected in the Second Resurrection, with the demons, when they will all be
correctly educated, demons included.
10.20. And they will say: If only a portent were sent down
upon him from his Lord! Then say, (O Muhammad): The Unseen belongeth to Allah.
So wait! Lo! I am waiting with you.
John 4:48 So Jesus said to him, “Unless you
see signs and wonders you will not believe.” (ESV)
Colossians 1:16 for in him all things were created, in heaven
and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or
principalities or authorities--all things were created through him and for him.
The administration of the spiritual structure was created or structured
by Messiah for this age and the elect will assist in its administration. Know
ye not that we shall judge angels (1Cor. 6:3).
Habakkuk 2:3 For the vision is yet for the appointed time; It hastens toward the goal and it will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; For it will certainly come, it will not delay. (NAS)
They want to see the fulfilment of what they
are being warned about and do not care about the signs around them. The
fulfilment of the coming judgement spoken about by the prophets will not be too
long in coming.
10.21. And when We cause mankind to
taste of mercy after some adversity which had afflicted them, behold! they have
some plot against Our revelations. Say: Allah is more swift in plotting. Lo!
Our messengers write down that which ye plot.
The prophets foretell what God has told them of what is to happen.
Psalm 106:13 But they soon forgot his works; they did not
wait for his counsel.
Romans 3:11 no one understands, no one seeks for God.
Psalm 33:10-11 The LORD nullifies the counsel of the nations; He frustrates the plans of the peoples. 11The counsel of the LORD stands forever, The plans of His heart from generation to generation. (NAS)
If they are not seeking after God they must be up to mischief. The idle
mind is the devil's workshop.
10.22. He it is Who maketh you to go on the land and the
sea till, when ye are in the ships and they sail with them with a fair breeze
and they are glad therein, a storm- wind reacheth them and the wave cometh unto
them from every side and they deem that they are overwhelmed therein; (then)
they cry unto Allah, making their faith pure for Him only: If Thou deliver us
from this, we truly will be of the thankful.
Psalm 107:23-31 Some went down to the sea in ships, doing
business on the great waters; 24they saw the deeds of the LORD, his
wondrous works in the deep. 25For he commanded, and raised the
stormy wind, which lifted up the waves of the sea. 26They mounted up
to heaven, they went down to the depths; their courage melted away in their
evil plight; 27they reeled and staggered like drunken men, and were
at their wits' end. 28Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble,
and he delivered them from their distress; 29he made the storm be
still, and the waves of the sea were hushed. 30Then they were glad
because they had quiet, and he brought them to their desired haven. 31Let
them thank the LORD for his steadfast love, for his wonderful works to the sons
of men!
10.23. Yet when He hath delivered them, behold! they rebel
in the earth wrongfully. O mankind! Your rebellion is only against yourselves.
(Ye have) enjoyment of the life of the world; then unto Us is your return and
We shall proclaim unto you what ye used to do.
Job 24:13 There are those who rebel against the light,
who are not acquainted with its ways, and do not stay in its paths.
Matthew 26:52 Then Jesus said to him, "Put your sword
back into its place; for all who take the sword will perish by the sword.
John 12:25 He who loves his life loses it, and he who
hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.
Luke 21:34 But watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a trap. (ESV)
1Peter 4:3
For the time already past is sufficient for you to have carried out the desire
of the Gentiles, having pursued a course of sensuality, lusts, drunkenness,
carousing, drinking parties and abominable idolatries. (NAS)
John 5:28-29 Do not marvel at this, for an
hour is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear his voice 29and
come out, those who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those who
have done evil to the resurrection of judgment. (ESV)
2Corinthians 5:10 For we must all
appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive good or
evil, according to what he has done in the body.
10.24. The similitude of the life of the world is only as
water which We send down from the sky, then the earth's growth of that which
men and cattle eat mingleth with it till, when the earth hath taken on her
ornaments and is embellished, and her people deem that they are masters of her,
Our commandment cometh by night or by day and We make it as reaped corn as if
it had not flourished yesterday. Thus do we expound the revelations for people
who reflect.
Psalm107:33-34 He turns rivers into a desert, springs of
water into thirsty ground, 34a fruitful land into a salty waste,
because of the wickedness of its inhabitants.
Galatians 6:7-8 Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for
whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. 8For he who sows to his
own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption; but he who sows to the Spirit
will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
Ecclesiastes 7:14 In the day of prosperity be
joyful, and in the day of adversity consider: God has made the one as well as
the other, so that man may not find out anything that will be after him. (ESV)
Ecclesiastes 11:9 Rejoice, O young man, in
your youth, and let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth. Walk in the
ways of your heart and the sight of your eyes. But know that for all these
things God will bring you into judgment. (ESV)
10.25. And Allah summoneth to the abode of peace, and
leadeth whom He will to a straight path.
10.26. For those who do good is the best (reward) and more
(thereto). Neither dust nor ignominy cometh near their faces. Such are rightful
owners of the Garden; they will abide therein.
Those rightly guided will be led to the first garden, the abode of
peace, the First Resurrection.
Matthew 7:13-14 Enter by the narrow gate. For
the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who
enter by it are many. 14For the gate is narrow and the way is hard
that leads to life, and those who find it are few. (ESV)
Psalm 16:11 You make known to me the path of
life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are
pleasures forevermore. (ESV)
Revelation 3:21 He who conquers, I will grant him to sit with
me on my throne, as I myself conquered and sat down with my Father on his
throne.
10.27. And those who earn ill-deeds, (for them) requital of each ill-deed by the like thereof; and ignominy overtaketh them - They have no protector from Allah - as if their faces had been covered with a cloak of darkest night. Such are rightful owners of the Fire; they will abide therein.
Ecclesiastes 11:9 Rejoice, O young man, in
your youth, and let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth. Walk in the
ways of your heart and the sight of your eyes. But know that for all these
things God will bring you into judgment. (ESV)
Revelation 20:11-12 Then I saw a great
white throne and him who sat upon it; from his presence earth and sky fled
away, and no place was found for them. 12And I saw the dead, great
and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Also another book
was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was
written in the books, by what they had done.
10.28. On the day when We gather them all together, then We
say unto those who ascribed partners (unto Us): Stand back, ye and your
(pretended) partners (of Allah)! And We separate them, the one from the other,
and their (pretended) partners say: It was not us ye worshipped.
10.29. Allah sufficeth as a witness between us and you,
that we were unaware of your worship.
10.30. There doth every soul experience that which it did
aforetime, and they are returned unto Allah, their rightful Lord, and that
which they used to invent hath failed them.
1Timothy 5:24 The sins of some men are conspicuous,
pointing to judgment, but the sins of others appear later.
Some of the so-called gods were not even aware that they were being
worshiped. They are dead and await the Resurrection themselves. The parable of
the sheep and goats is relevant.
Matthew 25:31-34, 41 31“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him,
then he will sit on his glorious throne. 32Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate
people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.
33And he will place the
sheep on his right, but the goats on the left. 34Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are
blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation
of the world.
41“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from
me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. (ESV)
1Corinthians 8:5-6 For although there
may be so-called gods in heaven or on earth--as indeed there are many
"gods" and many "lords"--
6yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all
things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all
things and through whom we exist.
2Corinthians 5:10 For we
must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may
receive good or evil, according to what he has done in the body.
Jeremiah 17:10 "I the LORD search the mind and try the
heart, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his
doings."
10.31. Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Who provideth for you
from the sky and the earth, or Who owneth hearing and sight; and Who bringeth
forth the living from the dead and bringeth forth the dead from the living; and
Who directeth the course? They will say: Allah. Then
say: Will ye not then keep your duty (unto Him)?
10.32. Such then is Allah, your rightful Lord. After the
Truth what is there saving error? How then are ye turned away!
10.33. Thus is the Word of thy Lord justified concerning those who do
wrong: that they believe not.
Psalm 145:15 The eyes of all look
to thee, and thou givest them their food in due season.
Psalm 94:9-11 He who planted the
ear, does he not hear? He who formed the eye, does he not see? 10He
who chastens the nations, does he not chastise? He who teaches men knowledge, 11the
LORD, knows the thoughts of man, that they are but a breath.
1Samuel 2:6 The LORD kills and brings to life;
he brings down to Sheol and raises up. (ESV)
Ephesians 2:5 even when we were
dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you
have been saved),
Proverbs 19:21 Many plans are in a man's
heart, But the counsel of the LORD will stand. (NAS)
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 The end of the matter;
all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole
duty of man. 14For God will bring every deed into judgment, with
every secret thing, whether good or evil. (ESV)
Hebrews 9:27 And just as it is
appointed for men to die once, and after that comes judgment,
Isaiah 45:22 Turn to me and be
saved, all the ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other.
John 12:40 “He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, lest they see with their eyes, and understand with their heart, and turn, and I would heal them.” (ESV)
10.34. Say: Is there of your partners (whom ye ascribe unto
Allah) one that produceth Creation and then reproduceth it? Say: Allah
produceth Creation, then reproduceth it. How then, are ye misled!
10.35. Say: Is there of your
partners (whom ye ascribe unto Allah) one that leadeth to the Truth? Say: Allah
leadeth to the Truth. Is He Who leadeth to the Truth more deserving that He
should be followed, or he who findeth not the way unless he (himself) be
guided. What aileth you? How judge ye?
10.36. Most of them follow not but conjecture. Assuredly
conjecture can by no means take the place of truth. Lo! Allah is Aware of what
they do.
Jeremiah 51:19 Not like these is he who is the portion of
Jacob, for he is the one who formed all things, and Israel is the tribe of his
inheritance; the LORD of hosts is his name.
Psalm 104:30 When thou sendest forth thy Spirit, they are
created; and thou renewest the face of the ground.
John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and
the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me.
Acts 4:12 And there is salvation in no one
else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must
be saved, (ESV)
Psalm 115:4-6 Their idols are silver and gold, the work of
men's hands. 5They have mouths, but do not speak; eyes, but do not
see. 6They have ears, but do not hear; noses, but do not smell.
Psalm 119:160 The sum of your word is truth,
and every one of your righteous rules endures forever. (ESV)
Daniel 2:22 he reveals deep and hidden things;
he knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him. (ESV)
Hebrews 4:13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable. (NLT)
10.37. And this Qur'an is not such as could ever be
invented in despite of Allah; but it is a confirmation of that which was before
it and an exposition of that which is decreed for mankind - Therein is no doubt
- from the Lord of the Worlds.
Here we see that the Koran is a continuation of the Scripture and all
the texts of Scripture are the direct product of the One True God. There is no
contradiction and Scripture has not been lost.
2Timothy 3:16 All scripture is inspired by God and
profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in
righteousness,
Romans 15:4 For whatever was written in former days was
written for our instruction, that by steadfastness and by the encouragement of
the scriptures we might have hope.
John 17:17 Sanctify them in the
truth; thy word is truth.
The Quran is commentary on the Bible and
confirms the OT and NT Scriptures.
10.38. Or say they: He hath invented it? Say: Then bring a
surah like unto it, and call (for help) on all ye can besides Allah, if ye are
truthful.
2Peter 1:21 because no prophecy ever came by the impulse
of man, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.
Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to
proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set
at liberty those who are oppressed, (ESV)
John 5:30 “I can do nothing on my own. As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just, because I seek not my own will but the will of him who sent me. (ESV)
John 8:28 So Jesus said to them, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he, and that I do nothing on my own authority, but speak just as the Father taught me. (ESV)
John 16:13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you
into all the truth; for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he
hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.
Every one of those who claim to be of the elect and preach against the
authority of Scriptures and the prophets will be killed and sent to the Second
Resurrection where they will be corrected and re-educated.
10.39. Nay, but they denied that, the knowledge whereof
they could not compass, and whereof the interpretation (in events) hath not yet
come unto them. Even so did those before them deny. Then see what was the
consequence for the wrong-doers!
Much of the denial comes from ignorance among those who have not
studied the Scriptures. Modern Islam’s assumptions are not based on proper
studies of the Scriptures.
1John 2:22 Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus
is the Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son.
1John 5:1 Every one who believes that Jesus is the
Christ is a child of God, and every one who loves the parent loves the child.
2Chronicles 36:15-16 The LORD, the God of their fathers, sent word to them again and
again by His messengers, because He had compassion on His people and on His
dwelling place; 16but they
continually mocked the messengers of God, despised His words and scoffed at His
prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against His people, until there was
no remedy. (NAS)
The wrongdoers bring destruction upon themselves. The churches of the
Last Days and the Imams of the Hadith simply refuse to be instructed or to
correct error. The Prophet told them such would be the case almost 1400 years
ago as did the prophecies of Revelation.
10.40. And of them is he who believeth therein, and of them
is he who believeth not therein, and thy Lord is Best Aware of the corrupters.
Mark 16:16 He who believes and is baptized will be
saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
John 3:36 He who believes in the Son has eternal life;
he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God rests
upon him.
Hebrews 4:13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable. (NLT)
10.41. And if they deny thee, say: Unto me my work, and
unto you your work. Ye are innocent of what I do, and I am innocent of what ye
do.
Luke 10:16 "He who hears you hears me, and he who
rejects you rejects me, and he who rejects me rejects him who sent me."
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 The end of the matter;
all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole
duty of man. 14For God will bring every deed into judgment, with
every secret thing, whether good or evil. (ESV)
So also
are we judged by our works, for faith without works is dead. Show us your works and we will see your faith
(Jas. 2:26).
10.42. And of them are some who listen unto thee. But canst
thou make the deaf to hear even though they apprehend not?
10.43. And of them is he who looketh toward thee. But canst
thou guide the blind even though they see not?
The Holy Spirit is needed to understand the faith and without it
mankind can neither see nor hear nor understand. Nor also can the angels see
clearly.
Matthew 13:15
For
this people's heart has grown dull, and their ears are heavy of hearing, and
their eyes they have closed, lest they should perceive with their eyes, and
hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and turn for me to heal
them.'
10.44. Lo! Allah wrongeth not mankind in aught; but mankind
wrong themselves.
Job 34:12 Of a truth, God will not do wickedly, and the
Almighty will not pervert justice.
10.45. And on the day when He shall gather them together,
(when it will seem) as though they had tarried but an hour of the day,
recognising one another, those will verily have perished who denied the meeting
with Allah and were not guided.
Hebrews 9:27 And just as it is appointed for men to die
once, and after that comes judgment,
2Samuel 14:14 We must all die, we are like water spilt on
the ground, which cannot be gathered up again; but God will not take away the
life of him who devises means not to keep his banished one an outcast.
10.46. Whether We let thee (O Muhammad) behold something of
that which We promise them or (whether We) cause thee to die, still unto Us is
their return, and Allah, moreover, is Witness over what they do.
Ecclesiastes 12:7 and the dust
returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.
Jeremiah 42:5 Then they said to Jeremiah, "May the
LORD be a true and faithful witness against us if we do not act according to
all the word with which the LORD your God sends you to us.
The Prophet is dead and has been for some 1400 years. We continue under
direction through the Holy Spirit and through the direction of the Messiah. So
also must we return to God who gave us life and then we will be allocated to
our place.
So also, as we see below, the nations are given messengers or prophets
of the elect over time and these are of the 144,000 or 72 per Muhammad or
council over 2000 years and the prophecies of Israel (see the paper The Harvests of God, the
New Moon Sacrifices, and the 144,000 (No. 120)).
10.47. And for every nation there is a messenger. And when
their messenger cometh (on the Day of Judgment) it will be judged between them
fairly, and they will not be wronged.
10.48. And they say: When will this promise be fulfilled,
if ye are truthful?
10.49. Say: I have no power to hurt or benefit myself, save
that which Allah willeth. For every nation there is an appointed time. When
their time cometh, then they cannot put it off an hour, nor hasten (it).
Every nation on earth has had its prophets sent to it over 2000 years
and the plan has been outlined to them and they have had the opportunity of
repentance and baptism but many are not even called let alone called but not
chosen.
Job 34:12 Of a truth, God will not do wickedly, and the
Almighty will not pervert justice.
Matthew 24:36 But of that day and hour no one knows, not
even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.
Habakkuk 2:3 For the vision is yet for the
appointed time; It hastens toward the goal and it will not fail. Though it
tarries, wait for it; For it will certainly come, it will not delay. (NAS)
2Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow about His
promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any
to perish but for all to come to repentance. (NAS)
Only a few are called out to the First Resurrection. It is God that
sets people aside according to His purpose from the foundation of the world and
they are then foreknown, and predestined to be called, and thus chosen and then
called, justified and then glorified (Rom. 8:28-30). Each is called in their
proper time. Most of the world simply is not able to enter the First
Resurrection and has to be held until their proper time whether for the First
or the Second Resurrection.
10.50. Say: Have ye thought: When His doom cometh unto you
as a raid by night, or in the (busy) day; what is there of it that the guilty
ones desire to hasten?
Ecclesiastes 8:8 No man has power to
retain the spirit, or power over the day of death. There is no discharge from
war, nor will wickedness deliver those who are given to it. (ESV)
10.51. Is it (only) then, when it hath befallen you, that
ye will believe? What! (Believe) now, when (until now) ye have been hastening
it on (through disbelief)?
Amos 8:11-12 Behold, the days are coming," says the
Lord GOD, "when I will send a famine on the land; not a famine of bread,
nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD. 12They
shall wander from sea to sea, and from north to east; they shall run to and
fro, to seek the word of the LORD, but they shall not find it.
Isaiah 55:6-7 Seek the LORD while
He may be found; Call upon Him while He is near. 7Let
the wicked forsake his way And the unrighteous man his thoughts; And let him
return to the LORD, And He will have compassion on him, And to our God, For He
will abundantly pardon. (NAS)
Believing when the prophesied event comes to
pass is too late as the disbeliever has been consigned to the Second Resurrection.
10.52. Then will it be said unto those who dealt unjustly
Taste the torment of eternity. Are ye requited aught save what ye used to earn?
10.53. And they ask thee to inform them (saying): Is it
true? Say: Yea, by my Lord, verily it is true, and ye cannot escape.
10.54. And if each soul that doeth wrong had all that is in
the earth it would seek to ransom itself therewith; and they will feel remorse
within them, when they see the doom. But it hath been judged between them
fairly and they are not wronged.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 The end of the matter;
all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole
duty of man. 14For God will bring every deed into judgment, with
every secret thing, whether good or evil. (ESV)
Psalm 28:4 Give to them according to their work and according to the evil of their deeds; give to them according to the work of their hands; render them their due reward.
Psalm 49:7-9 No man can by any means redeem his brother Or give to God a ransom for him-- 8For the redemption of his soul is costly, And he should cease trying forever-- 9That he should live on eternally, That he should not undergo decay. (NAS)
Psalm 98:9 Before the LORD, for He is
coming to judge the earth; He will judge the world with righteousness And the
peoples with equity. (NAS)

above.
10.55. Lo! verily all that is in the heavens and the earth
is Allah's. Lo! verily Allah's promise is true. But most of them know not.

the fulness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein;

loves it.
10.56. He quickeneth and giveth death, and unto Him ye will
be returned.
1Samuel 2:6
The
LORD kills and brings to life; he brings down to Sheol and raises up.
John 5:28-29 Do not marvel at this, for an
hour is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear his voice 29and
come out, those who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those who
have done evil to the resurrection of judgment. (ESV)
10.57. O mankind! There hath come unto you an exhortation
from your Lord, a balm for that which is in the breasts, a guidance and a mercy
for believers.
10.58. Say: In the bounty of Allah and in His mercy:
therein let them rejoice. It is better than what they hoard.
Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and turn again,
that your sins may be blotted out, that so there may come seasons of refreshing
from the presence of the Lord; (ERV)
Psalm 34:12-14 What man is there who desires life, and
covets many days, that he may enjoy good? 13Keep your tongue from
evil, and your lips from speaking deceit. 14Depart from evil, and do
good; seek peace, and pursue it.
Isaiah 30:18 Therefore the LORD longs to be
gracious to you, And therefore He waits on high to have compassion on you. For
the LORD is a God of justice; How blessed are all those who long for Him. (NAS)
10.59. Say: Have ye considered what provision Allah hath
sent down for you, how ye have made of it lawful and unlawful? Hath Allah
permitted you, or do ye invent a lie concerning Allah?
10.60. And what think those who invent a lie concerning
Allah (will be their plight) upon the Day of Resurrection? Lo! Allah truly is
Bountiful toward mankind, but most of them give not thanks.
Taqiyya or lying to further concepts of the faith is forbidden and is
sin.
Genesis 1:29 And God said, "Behold, I have given you
every plant yielding seed which is upon the face of all the earth, and every
tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food.
Mankind has been informed of what is lawful to eat and what is
unlawful. Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14 are reference biblical text (see the
paper The Food Laws (No. 015)).
1Timothy 4:4-5 For everything created by God is good, and
nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving; 5for
then it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.
Psalm 107:31 Let them give thanks to the LORD
for His lovingkindness, And for His wonders to the sons of men! (NAS)
The wrongdoers will be confronted with the truth in the Second Resurrection.
10.61. And thou (Muhammad) art not occupied with any
business and thou recitest not a Lecture from this (Scripture), and ye
(mankind) perform no act, but We are Witness of you when ye are engaged
therein. And not an atom's weight in the earth or in the sky escapeth your
Lord, nor what is less than that or greater than that, but it is (written) in a
clear Book.
Isaiah 46:9 Remember the former things from long ago,
Because I am God, and there is no one else; I am God, and there is none like
me.
1John 3:19-22 We will know by this that we are of the truth, and will assure our heart before Him 20in whatever our heart condemns us; for God is greater than our heart and knows all things. 21Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God; 22and whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do the things that are pleasing in His sight. (NASB)
Hebrews 4:13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from
God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom

10.62. Lo! verily the friends of Allah are (those) on whom
fear (cometh) not, nor do they grieve?
10.63. Those who believe and keep their duty (to Allah).
10.64. Theirs are good tidings in the life of the world and
in the Hereafter - There is no changing the Words of Allah - that is the
Supreme Triumph.
Isaiah 41:10 fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed,
for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you

which I command you.

of thy righteous ordinances endures for ever.
1Peter 1:3-4 Blessed be the God and Father of
our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be
born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the
dead, 4to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled
and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, (NAS)
Luke 21:33 Heaven and earth will pass away,
but my words will not pass away. (ESV)
10.65. And let not their speech grieve thee (O Muhammad).
Lo! power belongeth wholly to Allah. He is the Hearer, the Knower.
10.66. Lo! is it not unto Allah that belongeth whosoever is
in the heavens and whosoever is in the earth? Those who follow aught instead of
Allah follow not (His) partners. They follow only a conjecture, and they do but
guess.
Psalm 119:165 Great peace have those who love thy law; nothing
can make them stumble.
1Chronicles 29:11 Thine, O LORD, is
the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty;
for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom,
O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all.

see Him (1Tim. 6:16)
10.67. He it is Who hath appointed for you the night that

for a folk that heed.

Romans 13:12
the
night is far gone, the day is at hand. Let us then cast off the works of
darkness and put on the armor of light;
10.68. They say: Allah hath taken (unto Him) a son -
Glorified be He! He hath no needs! His is all that is in the heavens and all
that is in the earth. Ye have no warrant for this. Tell ye concerning Allah
that which ye know not?
10.69. Say: Verily those who invent a lie concerning Allah
will not succeed.
The claim of these pagans relates to God taking a woman to father a son
when the Koran says elsewhere it is by Divine Fiat.
Psalm 50:9-12 I will accept no bull from your house, nor
he-goat from your folds. 10For every beast of the forest is mine,
the cattle on a thousand hills. 11I know all the birds of the air,
and all that moves in the field is mine. 12"If I were hungry, I
would not tell you; for the world and all that is in it is mine.
God said the word and Christ came to be. No physical union was involved.
He created many sons by Divine Fiat and commanded they be present at
the creation of the earth and with their appointed Morning Stars (Job 1:6; 2:1;
38:4-7)
Scripture says it is the entire destiny of mankind and the Host to be
sons of God (Zech 12:8; Ps. 82:6). Those who deny this destiny will be killed
at the return of the Messiah.
He asks you to determine His name and His son’s name and to declare
it if you have any understanding. Then in the next verse He declares that His
name is Eloah (Prov. 30:4-5).
Proverbs 30:6 Do not add to his words, lest he rebuke you,
and you be found a liar.
10.70. This world's portion (will be theirs), then unto Us
is their return. Then We make them taste a dreadful doom because they used to
disbelieve.
Repentance and obedience are required to inherit eternal life.
1John 2:17 And the world passes away, and the lust of
it; but he who does the will of God abides for ever.
Ecclesiastes 12:7 and the dust returns to the earth as it was,
and the spirit returns to God who gave it.
Matthew 25:46 And they will go away into eternal
punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.
Psalm 28:4 Give to them according to their
work and according to the evil of their deeds; give to them according to the
work of their hands; render them their due reward. (ESV)
10.71. Recite unto them the story of Noah, when he told his
people: O my people! If my sojourn (here) and my reminding you by Allah's
revelations are an offence unto you, in Allah have I put my trust, so decide
upon your course of action you and your partners. Let not your course of action
be in doubt for you. Then have at me, give me no respite.
Noah challenged his adversaries to decide on their next move as his sojourn and
preaching was offensive to them. Then they could trouble him no end.
Psalm 21:11 Though they plan evil against you,
though they devise mischief, they will not succeed. (ESV)
10.72. But if ye are averse I have asked of you no wage. My
wage is the concern of Allah only, and I am commanded to be of those who
surrender (unto Him).
Noah reminded them that he was not requesting any remuneration from them as his
livelihood depended upon Allah to whom he had surrendered.
Isaiah 33:16 he will dwell on the heights; his
place of defense will be the fortresses of rocks; his bread will be given him;
his water will be sure. (ESV)
Psalm 34:10 The young lions do lack and suffer hunger; But they who seek the LORD shall not be in want of any good thing. (NAS)
None of the prophets demanded wages from the brethren. The Apostles
worked for their sustenance as did Samuel but the brethren often fed them when
they moved from place to place.
10.73. But they denied him, so We saved him and those with
him in the ship, and made them viceroys (in the earth), while We drowned those
who denied Our revelations. See then the nature of the consequence for those
who had been warned.
Those who believed were saved and the rest were drowned. Noah's offspring
became the leaders after the flood. Shem became priest of Melchisedek at Salem.
Genesis 7:23 He blotted out every living thing
that was on the face of the ground, man and animals and creeping things and
birds of the heavens. They were blotted out from the earth. Only Noah was left,
and those who were with him in the ark. (ESV)
10.74. Then, after him, We sent messengers unto their folk,
and they brought them clear proofs. But they were not ready to believe in that
which they before denied. Thus print We on the hearts of the transgressors.
2Chronicles 24:19 Yet he sent prophets among
them to bring them back to the LORD. These testified against them, but they
would not pay attention. (ESV)
Zechariah 1:4 Do not be like your fathers, to
whom the former prophets cried out, ‘Thus says the LORD of hosts, Return from
your evil ways and from your evil deeds.’ But they did not hear or pay
attention to me, declares the LORD. (ESV)
John 12:40 “He has blinded
their eyes and hardened their heart, lest they see with their eyes, and
understand with their heart, and turn, and I would heal them.” (ESV)
10.75. Then, after them, We sent Moses and Aaron unto
Pharaoh and his chiefs with Our revelations, but they were arrogant and were a
guilty folk.
10.76. And when the Truth from Our presence came unto them,
they said: Lo! this is mere magic.
10.77. Moses said: Speak ye (so) of the Truth when it hath
come unto you? Is this magic? Now magicians thrive not.
10.78. They said: Hast thou come unto us to pervert us from
that (faith) in which we found our fathers, and that you two may own the place
of greatness in the land? We will not believe you two.
10.79. And Pharaoh said: Bring every
cunning wizard unto me.
10.80. And when the wizards came, Moses said unto them:
Cast your cast!
10.81. And when they had cast, Moses said: That which ye
have brought is magic. Lo! Allah will make it vain. Lo! Allah upholdeth not the
work of mischief-makers.
10.82. And Allah will vindicate the Truth by His words,
however much the guilty be averse.
Exodus 7:9-13 When Pharaoh says to you, 'Prove yourselves
by working a miracle,' then you shall say to Aaron, 'Take your rod and cast it
down before Pharaoh, that it may become a serpent.' 10So Moses and
Aaron went to Pharaoh and did as the LORD commanded; Aaron cast down his rod
before Pharaoh and his servants, and it became a serpent. 11Then
Pharaoh summoned the wise men and the sorcerers; and they also, the magicians
of Egypt, did the same by their secret arts. 12For every man cast
down his rod, and they became serpents. But Aaron's rod swallowed up their
rods. 13Still Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he would not listen
to them; as the LORD had said.
Psalm 21:11 Though they plan evil against you,
though they devise mischief, they will not succeed. (ESV)
Psalm 33:4 For the word of the LORD is right and true; he is faithful in all he does. (NIV)
Isaiah 9:7 Of the increase of his government
and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom,
to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this
time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this. (ESV)
10.83. But none trusted Moses, save some scions of his
people, (and they were) in fear of Pharaoh and their chiefs, that he would
persecute them. Lo! Pharaoh was verily a
tyrant in the land, and lo! he verily was of the wanton.
Only a few of Pharaoh's people believed as
the majority were afraid of Pharaoh. These believers may have formed part of
the mixed multitude.
10.84. And Moses said: O my people! If ye have believed in
Allah then put trust in Him, if ye have indeed surrendered (unto Him)!
10.85. They said: In Allah we put trust. Our Lord! Oh, make
us not a lure for the wrongdoing folk;
10.86. And, of Thy mercy, save us from the folk that
disbelieve.
Exodus 12:28 and 50-51 28Then the people of
Israel went and did so; as the LORD had commanded Moses and Aaron, so they did.
50Thus did all the people of Israel; as the
LORD commanded Moses and Aaron, so they did. 51And on that very day
the LORD brought the people of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their hosts.
10.87. And We inspired Moses and his brother, (saying):
Appoint houses for your people in Egypt and make your houses oratories, and
establish worship. And give good news to the believers.
This is a reference to Exodus 12 verses 1 to 14 to observe the Passover
in Egypt.
10.88. And Moses said: Our Lord! Lo! Thou hast given
Pharaoh and his chiefs splendour and riches in the life of the world, Our Lord!
that they may lead men astray from Thy way. Our Lord! Destroy their riches and
harden their hearts so that they believe not till they see the painful doom.
10.89. He said: Your prayer is heard. Do ye twain keep to
the straight path, and follow not the road of those who have no knowledge.
Moses prayed that God would destroy the riches of Pharaoh's people. God
heard his prayer and ordered the two brothers to keep to the straight path.
Exodus 12:35-36 Now the sons of Israel had done according to the word of Moses, for they had requested from the Egyptians articles of silver and articles of gold, and clothing; 36and the LORD had given the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they let them have their request. Thus they plundered the Egyptians. (NAS)
Exodus 14:4, 17-18 4And I will
harden Pharaoh’s heart, and he will pursue them, and I will get glory over
Pharaoh and all his host, and the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD.” And
they did so.
17And I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians so that they shall go in after them, and I will get glory over Pharaoh and all his host, his chariots, and his horsemen. 18And the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I have gotten glory over Pharaoh, his chariots, and his horsemen.”
10.90. And We brought the Children of Israel across the
sea, and Pharaoh with his hosts pursued them in rebellion and transgression,
till, when the (fate of) drowning overtook him, he exclaimed: I believe that
there is no God save Him in Whom the Children of Israel believe, and I am of
those who surrender (unto Him).
10.91. What! Now! When hitherto thou hast rebelled and been
of the wrong-doers?
10.92. But this day We save thee in thy body that thou
mayst be a portent for those after thee. Lo! most of mankind are heedless of
Our portents.
Exodus 14:26-28 Then
the Lord said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand
over the sea, that the water may come back upon the Egyptians, upon their
chariots, and upon their horsemen.” 27So
Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to its normal
course when the morning appeared. And as the Egyptians fled into it, the Lord threw the Egyptians into the midst of the sea. 28The waters returned and covered the chariots
and the horsemen; of all the host of Pharaoh that had followed them into the sea,
not one of them remained. (ESV)
Exodus 15:4 Pharaoh's chariots and his host he cast into the sea, and his chosen officers were sunk in the Red Sea.(ESV)
The records indicate that the losses of Pharaoh were great but the scribes seem
to indicate he did not die but his entire army did. He was certainly a sign for succeeding
generations.
10.93. And We verily did allot unto the children of Israel
a fixed abode, and did provide them with good things; and they differed not
until the knowledge came unto them. Lo! thy Lord will judge between them on the
Day of Resurrection concerning that wherein they used to differ.
Exodus 3:8 and I
have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring
them up out of that land to a good and broad land, a land flowing with milk and
honey, to the place of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the
Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites.
Deuteronomy 6:10-11 And when the LORD
your God brings you into the land which he swore to your fathers, to Abraham,
to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give you, with great and goodly cities, which you
did not build, 11and houses full of all good things, which you did
not fill, and cisterns hewn out, which you did not hew, and vineyards and olive
trees, which you did not plant, and when you eat and are full,
After the covenant was agreed to and ratified at Mount Sinai the children
of Israel started to differ among themselves and this state of confusion will
persist until the Second Resurrection when they all will be raised and
re-educated to bring them all to repentance.
10.94. And if thou (Muhammad) art in doubt concerning that
which We reveal unto thee, then question those who read the Scripture (that
was) before thee. Verily the Truth from thy Lord hath come unto thee. So be not
thou of the waverers.
If the reader is in doubt concerning this revelation he/she is to check
the revelations that came before. Abdullah Yusuf Ali and the most of the
scribes say the earlier revelations meant are the Old Testament and the New
Testament of the Bible.
10.95. And be not thou of those who deny the revelations of
Allah, for then wert thou of the losers.
10.96. Lo! those for whom the word of thy Lord (concerning
sinners) hath effect will not believe,
10.97. Though every token come unto them, till they see the
painful doom.
2Timothy 3:5 holding the form of religion but denying the
power of it. Avoid such people.
1John 2:22 Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the
Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son.
2John 1:7 For many deceivers have gone out into the world,
men who will not acknowledge the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh; such a
one is the deceiver and the antichrist.
Hosea 7:13 Woe to them, for they have strayed from me!
Destruction to them, for they have rebelled against me! I would redeem them,
but they speak lies against me.
Though they may see signs and miracles they do not believe. The
disbelievers in the power of God wrongly assert that God cannot retain His own
Scriptures and they are lost. That is blasphemy against the omnipotence of God.
Now the text refers to the Sign of Jonah and the way that they were
saved and did profit by the warnings of Jonah (see above).
10.98. If only there had been a community (of all those
that were destroyed of old) that believed and profited by its belief as did the
folk of Jonah! When they believed We drew off from them the torment of disgrace
in the life of the world and gave them comfort for a while.
John 3:10 And God saw their works, that they turned
from their evil way. And God was compassionate over the evil that He had spoken
to do to them, and He did not do it. (LITV)
10.99. And if thy Lord willed, all who are in the earth
would have believed together. Wouldst thou (Muhammad) compel men until they are
believers?
10.100. It is not for any soul to believe save by the
permission of Allah. He hath set uncleanness upon those who have no sense.
John 6:44 No one can come to me unless the Father who
sent me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day.
Matthew 7:21 Not every one who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,'
shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is
in heaven.
10.101. Say: Behold what is in the heavens and the earth!
But revelations and warnings avail not folk who will not believe.
Jeremiah 32:17 'Ah Lord GOD! It is thou who hast made the
heavens and the earth by thy great power and by thy outstretched arm! Nothing
is too hard for thee,
Hebrews 4:2 For good news came to us just as to them; but the
message which they heard did not benefit them, because it did not meet with
faith in the hearers.
10.102. What expect they save the like of the days of those
who passed away before them? Say: Expect then! I am with you among the
expectant.
Matthew 24:37-39 But as the days of Noah were, so shall
also the coming of the Son of man be. 38 For as in the days
that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving
in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, 39 And
knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming
of the Son of man be. (KJV)
Habakkuk 2:3 For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay. (ESV)
2Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow to fulfill his
promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any
should perish, but that all should reach repentance. (ESV)
10.103. Then shall We save Our messengers and the believers,
in like manner (as of old). It is incumbent upon Us to save believers.
Mark 16:16 He who believes and is baptized will be
saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
John 6:39-40 And this is the will of God, that I should not lose even one of all those he has given me, but that I should raise them up at the last day. 40For it is my Father's will that all who see his Son and believe in him should have eternal life. I will raise them up at the last day." (NLT)
Romans 8:28-30 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. 29For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified. (ESV)
Romans 10:9-10 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. (ESV)
10.104. Say (O Muhammad): O mankind! If ye are in doubt of
my religion, then (know that) I worship not those whom ye worship instead of
Allah, but I worship Allah Who causeth you to die, and I have been commanded to
be of the believers.
10.105. And, (O Muhammad) set thy purpose resolutely for
religion, as a man by nature upright, and be not of those who ascribe partners
(to Allah).
10.106. And cry not, beside Allah, unto that which cannot
profit thee nor hurt thee, for if thou didst so then wert thou of the
wrong-doers.
Luke 4:8 And Jesus answered him, "It is written,
'You shall worship the Lord your God, and him only shall you serve.'"
1Samuel. 2:6 The LORD kills and gives life, he brings
people down to where the dead are and he raises them up. (ISV)
Psalm 115:4-5 Their idols are silver and gold, the work of
men's hands. 5They have mouths, but do not speak; eyes, but do not
see.
Habakkuk 2:18 What profit is an idol when its maker has
shaped it, a metal image, a teacher of lies? For the workman trusts in his own
creation when he makes dumb idols!
(cf. also Jeremiah 10:5 above)
10.107. If Allah afflicteth thee with some hurt, there is
none who can remove it save Him; and if He desireth good for thee, there is
none who can repel His bounty. He striketh with it whom He will of his bondmen.
He is the Forgiving, the Merciful.
Isaiah 50:2 Why, when I came, was there no man? When I
called, was there no one to answer? Is my hand shortened, that it cannot
redeem? Or have I no power to deliver? Behold, by my rebuke I dry up the sea, I
make the rivers a desert; their fish stink for lack of water, and die of
thirst.
Job 42:2 I know that you can do all things,
and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted. (ESV)
Psalm 86:5 For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. (ESV)
Micah 7:18 Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and passing over transgression for the remnant of his inheritance? He does not retain his anger forever, because he delights in steadfast love. (ESV)
10.108. Say: O mankind! Now hath the Truth from your Lord
come unto you. So whosoever is guided, is guided only for (the good of) his
soul, and whosoever erreth erreth only against it. And I am not a warder over
you.
Deuteronomy 10:12-13 "Now,
Israel, what does the LORD your God require from you, but to fear the LORD your
God, to walk in all His ways and love Him, and to serve the LORD your God with
all your heart and with all your soul, 13and to keep the LORD'S commandments and His statutes which I am
commanding you today for your good? (NAS)

and one way, that they may fear Me always, for their own good and for the good
of their children after them. (NAS)

cruel man hurts himself.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free
gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
10.109. And (O
Muhammad) follow that which is inspired in thee, and forbear until Allah give
judgment. And He is the Best of Judges.
Deuteronomy 29:29 The secret things
belong to the LORD our God; but the things that are revealed belong to us and
to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.
James 5:7 Be patient, therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives the early and the late rains. (ESV)
2Peter 2:9 then the Lord knows how to rescue
the godly from trials, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the
day of judgment, (ESV)
Psalm 98:9 before the LORD, for he comes to
judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples
with equity. (ESV)
Note the faith belongs to the faithful believer. God sends messengers to all nations and in the Last Days the final prophets are sent to warn the world. The One True God Eloah or Allah does nothing unless He first warns the nations of what is to occur (Amos 3:7). Those who are not at peace with Him and are false in their teaching and loyalty will receive a shorter notice and be brought to nothing unless they repent.
