(Edition 2.0 20170629-20201219)
Surah 6 “Livestock’ is a text that shows the
responsibilities of mankind as the sheep in the plan of Salvation in order to
become sons of God as Elohim in the

Commentary on the Koran: Surah 6 “Livestock”
Pickthall
translation, RSV biblical quotes unless otherwise noted.
Introduction
Surah
6 derives its name “Livestock” or “Cattle” from a word in v. 137 repeated in
vv. 139, 140 where cattle are mentioned in relation to superstitious practices,
as we saw from S.5 with the
four categories of cattle used by the paganised Arabs. The main thrust in those
texts refers to the murder of the Children of the people whilst in the bellies
of the women and condemns abortion and the sacrifice of the children which was
a standard practice at Becca and the Middle East over the millennia both before
and after Christ and very nearly ended the life of the Prophet as we see here. The
term “livestock” really refers to the sheep and the goats and shows the
extension of the unity of God to the salvation of mankind as the sheep of the
Resurrection.
The
sheer immensity of the conversions saw that the pagans overran Islam and
corrupted it with their practices, as they did in Christianity. However, the purity of the message is able to
be retained by the strict adherence to the Scriptures on which the Qur’an is
built.
Pickthall
holds that with the possible exception of nine verses, which some authorities,
such as Ibn Salamah, ascribe to the Madinah period, the whole of this surah
belongs to the year before the Hijrah. Ibn Abbas claims that it was revealed on
the authority of one visitation.
It
follows the Fifth Surah here because it deals with the sequence of the divine
revelation concerning the place of the Messiah in the faith and then the allocation
of the priesthood under Messiah as high priest in the Service of the One True
God and the faith in His Service.
The
Surah is concerned with the Divine Unity. There is only One True God Eloah and
He sent Jesus Christ (Jn. 17:3). Eloah created the heavens and the earth (Job
38:4-7 and then sent Christ for the recreation in Genesis 1 when the earth
became Tohu and Bohu for He did not create it that way, as we are told in
Isaiah 45:18.
The
Surah is held to be a late Beccan Surah.
Some hold that the note of certain triumph sounded in the circumstances
of the struggles of 13 years which saw the prophet and the body at Becca forced
to flee Becca and seek help in the hands of strangers at Medina, to be quite
remarkable. Most do not appear to understand the spirituality and core unity of
the faith.
This
Surah is a reprimand to the people of Becca and the half converted Arabs and a
warning of that which is to come. Whilst they made a later pretence, they are
yet to face the nexus of the Law of God under the Witnesses and the wrath of
the Messiah and the Councils of the Church of God to come.
Becca
and the pagan Arabs never got rid of the idolatry at Becca, which was in the
hands of the Arabicised Arabs of Ishmael. Nor did the Baal worshippers of Israel
and the Mother goddess system of Easter ever eradicate their idolatry from the
lands to which they moved all over the world.
The god Hubal most
prominently appeared at Mecca,
[Becca – Ed.] where an image of him was worshipped at the site of the Kaaba
(or Kaabah). According to Karen Armstrong, the sanctuary was dedicated
to Hubal, who was worshipped as the greatest of the 360 idols the Kaaba
contained, which probably represented the days of the year.[1] The Wikipedia record.
The shrine
reportedly contained many idols internal to it. Hubal as a name is associated
with Baal worship. Philip K.
Hitti, who relates the name Hubal to
an Aramaic word for spirit, suggests that the worship of Hubal was imported to Mecca
[Becca – Ed.] from the north of Arabia, possibly from Moab or Mesopotamia.[8] Hubal
may have been the combination of Hu, meaning "spirit" or
"god", and the Moab god Baal meaning "master" or "lord".
Outside South Arabia, Hubal's name appears just once, in a Nabataean inscription;[9]
Hisham Ibn Al-Kalbi's Book
of Idols describes
the image as shaped like a human, with the right hand broken off and replaced
with a golden hand.[2] According to Ibn Al-Kalbi, the image
was made of red agate,
whereas Al-Azraqi, an early Islamic commentator,
described it as of "cornelian pearl".
Al-Azraqi also relates that it "had a vault for the sacrifice" and
that the offering consisted of a hundred camels. Both authors speak of seven
arrows, placed before the image, which were cast for divination, in cases of death, virginity, and
marriage.[2]
The deity seems to
have originated in Iraq at Hit and the process of using arrows for divination,
a practice followed by the pagan Arabs, was used in the Second and First
millennia BCE.
The Ka’aba (or
Kaabah) is to this day used for the pagan practice of the Seven
circumambulations of the shrine used as the axis mundi or centre of rotations
according to the mystical rites of the animist pagans of Arabia posing as Islam
(cf. the work Cox W.E, Mysticism CCG Publishing
2000).
According to Ibn
Al-Kalbi, the image was first set up by Khuzaymah ibn-Mudrikah ibn-al-Ya's'
ibn-Mudar, but another tradition, recorded by Ibn Ishaq, holds that Amr
ibn Luhayy, a leader of the Khuza'a tribe, put an image of Hubal into the Kaabah,
where it was worshipped as one of the chief deities of the tribe.[3] The
date for Amr is disputed, with dates as late as the end of the fourth century
AD suggested, but what is quite sure is that the Quraysh later became the
protectors of the ancient holy place, supplanting the Khuza'a. The prophet
himself was of the Quraysh.
A tale recorded by
Ibn Al-Kalbi has Muhammad's grandfather Abdul Mutallib vowing
to sacrifice one of his ten children. He consulted the arrows of Hubal to find
out which child he should choose. The arrows pointed to his son Abd-Allah,
the future father of Muhammad. However, he was saved when 100 camels were
sacrificed in his place. According to Tabari,
Abdul Mutallib later also brought the infant Muhammad himself before the image.[4]
After defeat by
Muhammad's forces at the Battle of Badr, Abu Sufyan ibn Harb,
leader of the Quraysh army, is said to have called on Hubal for support to gain
victory in their next battle, saying "Show your superiority, Hubal".[5] When
Muhammad conquered Mecca [Becca - Ed.] in
630, he removed and had destroyed the statue of Hubal, along with the other 360
images at the Kaaba(h), and dedicated the structure to Allah.[6]
There may be some
foundation of truth in the story that Amr travelled in Syria and had brought
back from there the cults of the goddesses ʻUzzāʼ and Manāt, and had combined it with that of
Hubal, the idol of the Khuza'a.[7] According
to Al-Azraqi, the image was brought to Mecca [Becca and later transported to
Mecca – Ed.]
There is no
connection whatsoever between the origin of the names of these pagan deities
and the name of Allah’ which derives from the Eastern Aramaic and the prior
Biblical Chaldean Elahh and the Hebrew Eloah from which the Western Aramaic
originated (see the paper the Name of God in Islam (No. 054)).
We see from the text that the One True God Eloah or Allah’ created the
heavens and the earth (cf. Job 38:4-7) and the heavenly host of the sons of God
and the Morning Stars were present there. Genesis 1:1 shows that it was The One
true God that was creator but that the earth became tohu and bohu or waste
and void (v 2). God says through Isaiah that God did not create it waste and
void. It became that way. The elohim were then sent to earth to reform it and
create Adamic mankind.
Eloah
or Allah’ was alone and singular and the name admits of no plurality. Then He decided
to create and He created the Sons of God as elohim and thus became Ha Elohim or
the God as the centre of a plural entity as the family of God (see the paper How God Became a Family (No. 187)).
He
extended Himself and through the Holy Spirit He became Elohim as the central
power as Ha Elohim or The Elohim or Yahovih (SHD 3069) and all of the elohim
bore the name Yahovah when they
became Messengers to mankind after their creation as “He causes to be” or
Yahovah (SHD 3068). They were named as Malak or “malaikat” meaning Messengers
which became Aggleos in Greek and hence became termed Angels. This became a
noun as a name for the Angelic Host. The Sons of God as elohim were created
beings of Eloah or Allah’ as One True God who alone was immortal (1Tim.
6:16).
Both
Christ and Gabriel were created sons of God as was Satan or Iblis. Iblis
objected to the creation of mankind as the second element of the Host. Iblis, Azazel or Satan interfered with the
creation and condemned man to death and the Resurrection through the death and
resurrection of Christ. These acts were predestined from before the foundation
of the world.
In
this Surah we see the sequence from the creation of the earth to the creation
of mankind and the position of the Heavenly host and the place of Christ and
the sons of Adam as the “Sheep” or “Livestock” of the creation that proceed
from the First Resurrection with the “Goats” of the world moving to the “Second
Resurrection”.
These
Surahs move from the Beginning in Surahs 1 and 2 under the Messiah and the
Sanctification of the Elect and the Temple of God. It proceeds through the
Reddish or Adamic Heifer and then Golden Heifer through the process we saw with
Moses before the Angel of the Presence in Sinai who was Christ (1 Cor.
10:4). The text then goes to the sequence of the Priesthood at Surah 3
from The Family of Imram and then to the place of the church at Surah 4 in
families. Surah 5 “The Feast” or “Table Spread” deals with the Sacraments of
the church among the elect at the Lord’s Supper and Passover and the death of
Christ. In Surah 6 we proceed to the Unity of God that prepares us all to
become elohim as we are shown in Psalm 82:6 and Zechariah 12:8 and John
10:34-36. We are all to become elohim
or the plurality of the sons of God, as gods or elahhin in the Chaldean, from
which the Arabic is developed, through the Eastern Aramaic. We are all enabled
in this process by the Holy Spirit. In this process we are all the Sheep of the
Host as the body of Christ and the Surahs explain this process with its cross
references to the Scriptures.
Surah
7: “The Heights” then goes on to the opposition to God’s Will by Satan and then
through the sequence of Creation.
The
outline of the plan of Salvation is also developed through subsequent surahs,
such as The Ranks and those who set the Ranks.
The
Hadith was designed to destroy this understanding and separate the Scriptures
from the Qur’an. It was designed by the Jews and the paganised Arabs with the
major attacks on the Pauline documents aided by the post-Exilic Jews and the
Talmud and Hillel. It is about to be destroyed completely as a system.
So
also the Gnostics and the Baal and Easter Sunday worshippers have done their
best to destroy the understanding of the Faith and the Law of God and the
Testimony. Anyone who says that they are Christians or Muslims (which should be
interchangeable terms) and the law is done away and that when they die they go
to heaven are not to be believed. They are neither Muslims nor Christian (cf.
also Justin Martyr, Dialogue with Trypho,
LXXX).

Proverbs 10:24 What the wicked dreads will come upon him, but the desire of the righteous will be granted. (ESV)
Becca
had rejected the faith and the Message of the Prophet and the church and they
were forced to flee and seek refuge at Madinah. They understand nothing of the
faith and rejected it because of the paganism of Becca and the idolatry of the
Kaabah.
6.6. See they not how many a generation
We destroyed before them, whom We had established in the earth more firmly than
We have established you, and We shed on them abundant showers from the sky, and
made the rivers flow beneath them. Yet we destroyed them for their sins, and created
after them another generation.
God
destroyed the Nephilim during Noah’s day and the entire creation other than
Noah’s family and even that was not spared the fourth son according to the
text.
In
Genesis chapter 19 it was the people of Sodom and Gomorrah. In Deuteronomy
29:16-18 the Israelites were instructed to destroy the people of the land of
Canaan. In Joshua it was the city of Jericho. God did not spare Benjamin and
almost destroyed them, save 600 and gave them different wives from which to breed.
In 1Samuel 15:1-35 Saul was ordered to wipe out the Amalekites. That is a few
generations of so many of years gone by.
6.7. Had we sent down unto thee
(Muhammad) (actual) writing upon parchment, so that they could feel it with
their hands, those who disbelieve would have said: This is naught else than
mere magic.
6.8. They say: Why hath not an angel
been sent down unto him? If We sent down an angel, then the matter would be
judged; no further time would be allowed them (for reflection).
6.9. Had we appointed him (Our
messenger) an angel, We assuredly had made him (as) a man (that he might speak
to men); and (thus) obscured for them (the truth) they (now) obscure.
Only
those called and chosen by God believe at this time the rest will not believe.
We know from Revelation that people will not repent when Christ is here to
subjugate the nations. The sons of Keturah and Hagar will believe in these last
days or they will die.
6.10. Messengers (of Allah) have been
derided before thee, but that whereat they scoffed surrounded such of them as
did deride.
The
prophets are mocked as was Qasim here at Becca but God has the power to make
those of the faith do what they were sent to do and the detractors are
overcome, especially now in the last days.
2Chronicles 36:16 But they kept mocking the messengers of God, despising his words and scoffing at his prophets, until the wrath of the LORD rose against his people, until there was no remedy. (ESV)

6.11. Say (unto the disbelievers): Travel
in the land, and see the nature of the consequence for the rejecters!
6.12. Say: Unto whom belongeth whatsoever
is in the heavens and the earth? Say: Unto Allah. He hath prescribed for Himself
mercy, that He may bring you all together to the Day of Resurrection whereof
there is no doubt. Those who ruin their souls will not believe.

protecting friend other than Allah, the Originator of the heavens and the
earth, Who feedeth and is never fed? Say: I am ordered to be the first to
surrender (unto Him). And be not thou (O Muhammad) of the idolaters.
6.15. Say: I fear, if I rebel against my
Lord, the retribution of an Awful Day.

signal triumph.

all things.

6.19. Say (O Muhammad): What thing is of
most weight in testimony? Say: Allah is Witness between me and you. And this
Qur'an hath been inspired in me, that I may warn therewith you and whomsoever
it may reach. Do ye in sooth bear witness that there are gods beside Allah?
Say: I bear no such witness. Say: He is only One God. Lo! I am innocent of that
which ye associate (with Him).
6.20. Those unto whom We gave the
Scripture recognise (this revelation) as they recognise their sons. Those who
ruin their own souls will not believe.
6.21. Who doth greater wrong than he who
inventeth a lie against Allah or denieth His revelations? Lo! the wrongdoers
will not be successful.
6.22. And on the day We gather
them together We shall say unto those who ascribed partners (unto Allah): Where
are (now) those partners of your make-believe?
6.23. Then will they have no contention
save that they will say: By Allah, our Lord, we never were idolaters.
6.24. See how they lie against
themselves, and (how) the thing which they devised hath failed them!
1John 5:9-10 If we receive the testimony of
men, the testimony of God is greater, for this is the testimony of God that he
has borne concerning his Son. 10Whoever believes in the Son of God
has the testimony in himself. Whoever does not believe God has made him a liar,
because he has not believed in the testimony that God has borne concerning his
Son. (ESV)
Romans 1:20-23 Ever since the creation of the
world his invisible nature, namely, his eternal power and deity, has been
clearly perceived in the things that have been made. So they are without
excuse; 21for although they knew God they did not honor him as God
or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking and their
senseless minds were darkened. 22Claiming to be wise, they became
fools, 23and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images
resembling mortal man or birds or animals or reptiles.

we exist.

6.25. Of them are some who listen unto
thee, but We have placed upon their hearts veils, lest they should understand,
and in their ears a deafness. If they saw every token they would not believe
therein; to the point that, when they come unto thee to argue with thee, the
disbelievers say: This is naught else than fables of the men of old
Isaiah 6:10 Make the heart of this people fat, and their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn and be healed."
2Thessalonians 2:10-12 and with all wicked deception for those who are to perish, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11Therefore God sends upon them a strong delusion, to make them believe what is false, 12so that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
6.26. And they forbid (men) from it and
avoid it, and they ruin none save themselves, though they perceive not.
6.27. If thou couldst see when they are
set before the Fire and say: Oh, would that we might return! Then would we not
deny the revelations of our Lord but we would be of the believers!

6.28. Nay, but that hath become clear
unto them which before they used to hide. And if they were sent back they would
return unto that which they are forbidden. Lo! they are liars.
6.29. And they say: There is naught save
our life of the world, and we shall not be raised (again).
6.30. If thou couldst see when they are
set before their Lord! He will say: Is not this real ? They will say: Yea,
verily, by our Lord! He will say: Taste now the retribution for that ye used to
disbelieve.
6.31. They indeed are losers who deny their meeting with
Allah until, when the Hour cometh on them suddenly, they cry: Alas for us, that
we neglected it! They bear upon their backs their burdens. Ah, evil is that
which they bear!
6.32. Naught is the life of the world
save a pastime and a spot. Better far is the abode of the Hereafter for those
who keep their duty (to Allah). Have ye then no sense?
6.33. We know well how their talk
grieveth thee, though in truth they deny not thee (Muhammad) but evil-doers
flout the revelations of Allah.

them practices what is good. (ISV)
6.34. Messengers indeed have been denied
before thee, and they were patient under the denial and the persecution till
Our succour reached them. There is none to alter the decisions of Allah.
Already there hath reached thee (somewhat) of the tidings of the messengers (We
sent before).
6.35. And if their aversion is grievous
unto thee, then, if thou canst, seek a way down into the earth or a ladder unto
the sky that thou mayst bring unto them a portent (to convince them all)! - If
Allah willed, He could have brought them all together to the guidance - So be
not thou among the foolish ones.
Messengers were ridiculed, persecuted and often
murdered. The purpose of God will stand. No one can change that fact. Signs and
wonders will not make them change as God has set a seal on the hearts of men so
they cannot understand and obey the message unless called through the Holy
Spirit.
6.36. Only those can accept who hear. As
for the dead, Allah will raise them up; then unto Him they will be returned.
John 6:44 No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day.
Hebrews 9:27 And just as it is appointed for men to die once, and after that comes judgment,
John 5:28-29 Do not marvel at this, for an hour is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear his voice 29and come out, those who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of judgment. (ESV)
It is clear that
all are dead and in the grave and resurrected to judgment. The First
Resurrection are under judgment now or are judged and resurrection to eternal
life.

him from his Lord? Say: Lo! Allah is Able to send down a portent. But most of
them know not.
Matthew 12:39 But he answered them, "An evil and adulterous generation seeks

Why were the

the sign of the faith under the Messiah and no other sign will be sent to the
world and the faith.
6.38. There is not an animal in the
earth, nor a flying creature flying on two wings, but they are peoples like
unto you. We have neglected nothing in the Book (of Our decrees). Then unto
their Lord they will be gathered.

Ecclesiastes 12:7 and the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it. (ESV)
The entire message of Scripture was given to the Arabs under the prophet
Qasim and the Council of the Muhammad. Here they were told and they will be
gathered to the Resurrection.
6.39. Those who deny Our
revelations are deaf and dumb in darkness. Whom Allah will sendeth astray, and
whom He will He placeth on a straight path.

other than Allah)? Do ye then call (for help) to any other than Allah? (Answer
that) if ye are truthful.
6.41. Nay, but unto Him ye call, and He
removeth that because of which ye call unto Him, if He will, and ye forget
whatever partners ye ascribed unto Him.
They
can’t avert the punishment by calling on any other gods.
Isaiah 42:17 They shall be turned back and utterly put to shame, who trust in graven images, who say to molten images, "You are our gods."
Jeremiah 10:5 Their idols are like scarecrows in a cucumber field, and they cannot speak; they have to be carried, for they cannot walk. Do not be afraid of them, for they cannot do evil, neither is it in them to do good. (ESV)
Becca was full of idol worshippers and the Kaabah had over 360 idols
removed at one time after the return aswe see above.
6.42. We have sent already unto peoples
that were before thee, and We visited them with tribulation and adversity, in
order that they might grow humble.
6.43. If only, when Our disaster came on
them, they had been humble! But their hearts were hardened and the devil made
all that they used to do seem fair unto them!
Deuteronomy 8:2 And you shall remember all the way which the LORD your God has led
you these forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble you, testing you
to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments, or
not.

6.44. Then, when they forgot that whereof
they had been reminded, We opened unto them the gates of all things till, even
as they were rejoicing in that which they were given, We seized them unawares,
and lo! they were dumbfounded.
6.45. So of the people who did
wrong the last remnant was cut off. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds!
Numbers 11:33 While the meat was yet between their teeth, before it was consumed, the anger of the LORD was kindled against the people, and the LORD smote the people with a very great plague.
Hebrews 3:16-17 Who were they that heard and yet were rebellious? Was it not all those who left Egypt under the leadership of Moses? 17And with whom was he provoked forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?
6.46. Say: Have ye imagined, if Allah
should take away your hearing and your sight and seal your hearts, Who is the God Who could restore it to you
save Allah? See how We display the revelations unto them! Yet still they turn
away.
Mark 4:12 so that they may indeed see but not perceive, and may indeed hear but not understand; lest they should turn again, and be forgiven.
Matthew 13:15 For this people's heart has grown dull, and their ears are heavy of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should perceive with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and turn for me to heal them.'
It was as if
their sight and hearing had been taken away and these could only be restored by
Allah and not by any other god. Becca was turning its back on God and it
rejects Allah to this day as it does at Mecca where the Ka’aba was transferred,
as does Baal worshipping Trinitarianism.
6.47. Say: Can ye see yourselves, if
the punishment of Allah come upon you unawares or openly? Would any perish save
wrongdoing folk?
Psalm 37:1-2 Fret not yourself because of the wicked, be not envious of wrongdoers! 2For they will soon fade like the grass, and wither like the green herb.
6.48. We send not the messengers
save as bearers of good news and warners. Whoso believeth and doeth right,
there shall no fear come upon them neither shall they grieve.
Psalm 37:3-6 Trust in the LORD, and do good; so you will dwell in the land, and enjoy security. 4Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. 5Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and he will act. 6He will bring forth your vindication as the light, and your right as the noonday.
6.49. But as for those who deny Our
revelations, torment will afflict them for that they used to disobey.
Psalm 37:9 For the wicked shall be cut off; but those who wait for the LORD shall possess the land.
6.50. Say (O Muhammad, to the
disbelievers): I say not unto you (that) I possess the treasures of Allah, nor
that I have knowledge of the Unseen; and I say not unto you: Lo! I am an angel.
I follow only that which is inspired in me. Say: Are the blind man and the seer
equal? Will ye not then take thought?
1Corinthians 11:1 Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.
Philippians 3:17 Brethren, join in imitating me, and mark those who so live as you have an example in us.
Romans 8:5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit.
1Corinthians 2:9-10 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 10But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. (KJV)
6.51. Warn hereby those
who fear (because they know) that they will be gathered unto their Lord, for
whom there is no protecting ally nor intercessor beside Him, that they may ward
off (evil).
Psalm 37:27-28 Depart from evil, and do good; so shall you abide for ever. 28For the LORD loves justice; he will not forsake his saints. The righteous shall be preserved for ever, but the children of the wicked shall be cut off.
6.52. Repel not those
who call upon their Lord at morn and evening, seeking His Countenance. Thou art
not accountable for them in aught, nor are they accountable for thee in aught,
that thou shouldst repel them and be of the wrong-doers.
Romans 14:12 So each of us shall give account of himself to God.
Ezekiel 18:20 The soul that sins shall die. The son shall not suffer for the iniquity of the father, nor the father suffer for the iniquity of the son; the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself.
6.53.
And even so do We try some of them by others, that they say: Are these they
whom Allah favoureth among us? Is not Allah best Aware of the thanksgivers?

And when those who believe in Our revelations come unto thee, say: Peace be
unto you! Your Lord hath prescribed for Himself mercy, that whoso of you doeth
evil through ignorance and repenteth afterward thereof and doeth right, (for
him) lo! He is Forgiving, Merciful.
Ezekiel 18:21-22 But if a wicked man turns away from all his sins which he has committed and keeps all my statutes and does what is lawful and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die. 22None of the transgressions which he has committed shall be remembered against him; for the righteousness which he has done he shall live.

Proverbs 28:13 Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy. (ESV)
6.55. Thus do We expound the revelations that
the way of the unrighteous may be manifest.
Ezekiel 18:26-27 When a righteous man turns away from his
righteousness and commits iniquity, he shall die for it; for the iniquity which
he has committed he shall die. 27Again, when a wicked man turns away
from the wickedness he has committed and does what is lawful and right, he
shall save his life.
6.56. Say: I am forbidden to worship those on whom ye call instead of Allah.
Say: I will not follow your desires, for then should I go astray and I should
not be of the rightly guided.
6.57. Say: I am (relying) on clear
proof from my Lord, while ye deny Him. I have not that for which ye are
impatient. The decision is for Allah only. He telleth the truth and He is the
Best of Deciders.
6.58. Say: If I had that for which
ye are impatient, then would the case (ere this) have been decided between me
and you. Allah is Best Aware of the wrong-doers.
Joshua 24:15 And if you be unwilling to serve the LORD, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
Psalm 40:4 Blessed is the man who makes the LORD his trust, who does not turn to the proud, to those who go astray after false gods!
Isaiah 46:8-10 Remember this and consider, recall it to mind, you transgressors, 9remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me, 10declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, 'My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose,'
2Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. (ESV)

6.59. And with Him are
the keys of the Invisible. None but He knoweth them. And He knoweth what is in
the land and the sea. Not a leaf falleth but He knoweth it, not a grain amid
the darkness of the earth, naught of wet or dry but (it is noted) in a clear
record.
6.60.
He it is Who gathereth you at night and knoweth that which ye commit by day.
Then He raiseth you again to life therein, that the term appointed (for you)
may be accomplished. And afterward unto Him is your return. Then He will
proclaim unto you what ye used to do.
Colossians 1:16 for in him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or authorities--all things were created through him and for him.

6.61.
He is the Omnipotent over His slaves. He sendeth guardians over you until, when
death cometh unto one of you, Our messengers receive him, and they neglect not.
6.62.

forth to serve, for the sake of those who are to obtain salvation?
After death
mankind will be resurrected to face judgement. So also will the elect judge
angels (1Cor. 6:3).
6.63.
Say: Who delivereth you from the darkness of the land and the sea? Ye call upon
Him humbly and in secret, (saying): If we are delivered from this (fear) we
truly will be of the thankful.
6.64.
Say: Allah delivereth you from this and from all affliction. Yet ye attribute
partners unto Him.
6.65.
Say: He is able to send punishment upon you from above you or from beneath your
feet, or to bewilder you with dissension and make you taste the tyranny one of
another. See how We display the revelations so that they may understand.

6.67. For every
announcement there is a term, and ye will come to know.
6.68. And when thou
seest those who meddle with Our revelations, withdraw from them until they
meddle with another topic. And if the devil cause thee to forget, sit not,
after the remembrance, with the congregation of wrong-doers.
Psalm 1:1 Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers;

6.69. Those who ward off
(evil) are not accountable for them in aught, but the Reminder (must be given
them) that haply they (too) may ward off (evil).
6.70. And forsake those
who take their religion for a pastime and a jest, and whom the life of the
world beguileth. Remind (mankind) hereby lest a soul be destroyed by what it
earneth. It hath beside Allah no protecting ally nor intercessor, and though it
offer every compensation it will not be accepted from it. Those are they who
perish by their own deserts. For them is drink of boiling water and a painful
doom, because they disbelieved.

Eloah has extended the Host to include the elohim as sons of God and has appointed Messiah to act as High
priest of the order of Melchisedek and he alone acts as mediator between God
and men. So also the Holy Spirit alone is intercessor making pleas for us in
prayer. He who blasphemes the Holy Spirit shall not be forgiven (Mat. 12:31;
Lk. 12:10) for it is the Holy Spirit that teaches us (Lk. 12:12).
6.71.
Say: Shall we cry, instead of unto Allah, unto that which neither profiteth us
nor hurteth us, and shall we turn back after Allah hath guided us, like one
bewildered whom the devils have infatuated in the earth, who hath companions
who invite him to the guidance (saying): Come unto us? Say: Lo! the guidance of
Allah is Guidance, and we are ordered to surrender to the Lord of the Worlds,
6.72.
And to establish worship and be dutiful to Him, and He it is unto Whom ye will
be gathered.
6.73.
He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in truth. In the day when He
saith: Be! it is. His Word is the Truth, and His will be the Sovereignty on the
day when the trumpet is blown. Knower of the Invisible and the Visible, He is
the Wise, the Aware.

It is God Almighty that created the heavens and the earth from the
beginning and he summoned all the Sons of God and the Morning Stars to be there

2:1).
The Trumpet here is the archangel’s trumpet of Daniel 12 and the Trumpet
at the Return of Messiah.
6.74.
(Remember) when Abraham said unto his father Azar: Takest thou idols for gods?
Lo! I see thee and thy folk in error manifest.
6.75.
Thus did We show Abraham the kingdom of the heavens and the earth that he might
be of those possessing certainty:
6.76.
When the night grew dark upon him he beheld a star. He said: This is my Lord.
But when it set, he said: I love not things that set.
6.77.
And when he saw the moon uprising, he exclaimed: This is my Lord. But when it
set, he said: Unless my Lord guide me, I surely shall become one of the folk
who are astray.
6.78.
And when he saw the sun uprising, he cried: This is my Lord! This is greater!
And when it set he exclaimed: O my people! Lo! I am free from all that ye
associate (with Him).
6.79.
Lo! I have turned my face toward Him Who created the heavens and the earth, as
one by nature upright, and I am not of the idolaters.
6.80.
His people argued with him. He said: Dispute ye with me concerning Allah when
He hath guided me? I fear not at all that which ye set up beside Him unless my
Lord willeth aught. My Lord includeth all things in His knowledge. Will ye not
then remember?
6.81.
How should I fear that which ye set up beside Him, when ye fear not to set up
beside Allah that for which He hath revealed unto you no warrant? Which of the
two factions hath more right to safety? (Answer me that) if ye have knowledge.
Exodus 20:3 You shall have no other gods before me. (ESV)

Ayats 6.74 to 6.81
are held to describe happenings in Haran when he lived with his parents before God
called him to leave his country.
6.82. Those who
believe and obscure not their belief by wrongdoing, theirs is safety; and they
are rightly guided.
6.83. That is Our
argument. We gave it unto Abraham against his folk. We raise unto degrees of
wisdom whom We will. Lo! thy Lord is Wise, Aware.
6.84. And We
bestowed upon him Isaac and Jacob; each of them We guided; and Noah did We
guide aforetime; and of his seed (We guided) David and Solomon and Job and
Joseph and Moses and Aaron. Thus do We reward the good.
6.85. And Zachariah
and John and Jesus and Elias. Each one (of them) was of the righteous.
6.86. And Ishmael
and Elisha and Jonah and Lot. Each one (of them) did We prefer above (Our)
creatures,
6.87. With some of
their forefathers and their offspring and their brethren; and We chose them and
guided them unto a straight path.
6.88. Such is the
guidance of Allah wherewith He guideth whom He will of His bondmen. But if they
had set up (for worship) aught beside Him, (all) that they did would have been
vain.
6.89. Those are they unto whom We
gave the Scripture and command and prophethood. But if these disbelieve
therein, then indeed We shall entrust it to a people who will not be
disbelievers therein.
6.90. Those are they whom Allah
guideth, so follow their guidance. Say (O Muhammad, unto mankind): I ask of you
no fee for it. Lo! it is naught but a Reminder to (His) creatures.
God calls and guides whom He wills.

(ESV)
Deuteronomy 7:6 For you are a people holy to the LORD your God. The LORD your God has chosen you to be a people for his treasured possession, out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth. (ESV)
He lists those to whom he gave the scripture, the laws and commandments
and the prophethood. As we know they completed their mission. The prophet
encourages us to follow in their footsteps. So also the prophets are sent for
us in the Last Days (Jer. 4:15-16; Rev. 11:3ff).
6.91. And they
measure not the power of Allah its true measure when they say: Allah hath
naught revealed unto a human being. Say (unto the Jews who speak thus): Who
revealed the Book which Moses brought, a light and guidance for mankind, which
ye have put on parchments which ye show, but ye hide much (thereof), and (by
which) ye were taught that which ye knew not yourselves nor (did) your fathers
(know it)? Say: Allah. Then leave them to their play of cavilling.
The OT and the NT had been revealed unto mankind before the arrival of
the Arabian prophet and the church council of the Muhamad. He read the
Scriptures and was educated by the Faith of the Church of God in Arabia. Everything
the Koran claims is derived from the Scriptures and the circumstances of the
Church of the Seventh Century.

2John 1:7 For many deceivers have gone out into the world, men who will not acknowledge the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh; such a one is the deceiver and the antichrist.
6.92. And this is a
blessed Scripture which We have revealed, confirming that which (was revealed)
before it, that thou mayst warn the Mother of Villages and those around her.
Those who believe in the Hereafter believe herein, and they are careful of
their worship.
The Qu’ran was confirmation of the OT and the NT that was revealed
earlier. It was to warn the mainstream churches who had twisted and distorted
scripture as Judah had done and now the Hadith has done.
6.93. Who is guilty
of more wrong than he who forgeth a lie against Allah, or saith: I am inspired,
when he is not inspired in aught; and who saith: I will reveal the like of that
which Allah hath revealed? If thou couldst see, when the wrong-doers reach the
pangs of death and the angels stretch their hands out (saying): Deliver up your
souls. This day ye are awarded doom of degradation for that ye spake concerning
Allah other than the truth, and used to scorn His portents.
6.94. Now have ye
come unto Us solitary as We did create you at the first, and ye have left
behind you all that We bestowed upon you, and We behold not with you those your
intercessors, of whom ye claimed that they possessed a share in you. Now is the
bond between you severed, and that which ye presumed hath failed you.
2Timothy 4:3-4 For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, 4and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. (ESV)
2Peter 2:1-3 But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. 2And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed. 3And in their greed they will exploit you with false words. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep. (ESV)

6.95. Lo! Allah (it is) Who splitteth the grain of
corn and the date-stone (for sprouting). He bringeth forth the living from the
dead, and is the bringer-forth of the dead from the living. Such is Allah. How
then are ye perverted?

1Corinthians 15:35-38 But some one will ask, "How are the dead raised? With what kind of body do they come?" 36You foolish man! What you sow does not come to life unless it dies. 37And what you sow is not the body which is to be, but a bare kernel, perhaps of wheat or of some other grain. 38But God gives it a body as he has chosen, and to each kind of seed its own body.
2Timothy 4:4 and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. (ESV)
6.96.
He is the Cleaver of the Daybreak, and He hath appointed the night for stillness,
and the sun and the moon for reckoning. That is the measuring of the Mighty,
the Wise.
Psalm 104:19,23 19Thou hast made the moon to mark the seasons; the sun knows its time for setting.
23When the sun rises, they get them away and lie down in their dens.
Genesis 1:14 And God said, "Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to separate the day from the night; and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years,
Psalm 147:5 Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; his understanding is beyond measure. (ESV)
6.97. And He it is Who
hath set for you the stars that ye may guide your course by them amid the
darkness of the land and the sea. We have detailed Our revelations for a people
who have knowledge.
Isaiah 40:26 Lift up your eyes on high and see: who created these? He who brings out their host by number, calling them all by name; by the greatness of his might, and because he is strong in power not one is missing.
Numbers 24:17 I see him, but not now; I behold him, but not nigh: a star shall come forth out of Jacob, and a scepter shall rise out of Israel; it shall crush the forehead of Moab, and break down all the sons of Sheth.
Matthew 2:9-10 When they had heard the king they went their way; and lo, the star which they had seen in the East went before them, till it came to rest over the place where the child was. 10When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy;
Ephesians 1:17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, (ESV)
Christ is the Morning Star that comes out of Jacob.
6.98. And He it is
Who hath produced you from a single being, and (hath given you) a habitation
and a repository. We have detailed Our revelations for a people who have
understanding.
Thus the creation was for a purpose and the Scriptures were issued for a
purpose. The will of God cannot be thwarted in that purpose and those who claim
the Scriptures are lost blaspheme Eloah as the One True God of prophecy in the
Scriptures and the Qur’an.
Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves upon the earth."
Isaiah 11:2 And the Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD. (ESV)
John 16:13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. (ESV)
Physically we come from Adam, spiritually we originate from Christ.
Revelations from God are for the elect to understand and the Church of God to
teach.
6.99. He it is Who
sendeth down water from the sky, and therewith We bring forth buds of every
kind; We bring forth the green blade from which We bring forth the
thick-clustered grain; and from the date-palm, from the pollen thereof, spring
pendant bunches; and (We bring forth) gardens of grapes, and the olive and the
pomegranate, alike and unlike. Look upon the fruit thereof, when they bear
fruit, and upon its ripening. Lo! herein verily are portents for a people who
believe.
Isaiah 55:10 For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, (ESV)
Isaiah 61:11 For as the earth brings forth its sprouts, and as a garden causes what is sown in it to sprout up, so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to sprout up before all the nations. (ESV)
Job 12:7-9 But ask the beasts, and they will teach you; the birds of the air, and they will tell you; 8or the plants of the earth, and they will teach you; and the fish of the sea will declare to you. 9Who among all these does not know that the hand of the LORD has done this?
Romans 1:20 Ever since the creation of the world his invisible nature, namely, his eternal power and deity, has been clearly perceived in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse;
The believers can observe miracles all around them but the rest of
mankind take all things around them for granted.
6.100.
Yet they ascribe as partners unto Him the jinn, although He did create them,
and impute falsely, without knowledge, sons and daughters unto Him. Glorified
be He and High Exalted above (all) that they ascribe (unto Him).
6.101. The Originator of
the heavens and the earth! How can He have a child, when there is for Him no
consort, when He created all things and is Aware of all things?
6.102. Such is Allah,
your Lord. There is no Allah save Him, the Creator of all things, so worship
Him. And He taketh care of all things.
Job 1:6 Now
there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the
LORD, and Satan also came among them.
Job 2:1 Again there
was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and
Satan also came among them to present himself before the LORD.
Job 38:7
when the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
God has many sons created by command (Job 1:6; 2:1; 38:4-7; Deut 32:8).
Satan is a son of God just as Christ is a son of God. He said the word and they
came to be. Physical man is the result of union between man and his wife. Not
so with God. Some blasphemers have elevated the angels created by the One True
God to be equal to Him.
6.103. Vision
comprehendeth Him not, but He comprehendeth (all) vision. He is the Subtile,
the Aware.
Isaiah 55:8-9 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says the LORD. 9For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Romans 11:33 O how deep are God's riches, and wisdom, and knowledge! How unfathomable are his decisions and unexplainable are his ways! (ISV)
6.104. Proofs have come
unto you from your Lord, so whoso seeth, it is for his own good, and whoso is
blind is blind to his own hurt. And I am not a keeper over you.
6.105. Thus do We display Our revelations that they
may say (unto thee, Muhammad): "Thou hast studied," and that We may
make (it) clear for people who have knowledge.
John 12:40 “He has blinded their eyes and
hardened their heart, lest they see with their eyes, and understand with their
heart, and turn, and I would heal them.” (ESV)
Ephesians 1:18 having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints (ESV),
Acts 26:18 to open their eyes, so that they may turn from
darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive
forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me. (ESV)
Deuteronomy 6:24 And the LORD commanded us to
do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he
might preserve us alive, as we are this day. (ESV)
6.106. Follow that which
is inspired in thee from thy Lord; there is no Allah save Him; and turn away
from the idolaters.
6.107. Had Allah willed,
they had not been idolatrous. We have not set thee as a keeper over them, nor
art thou responsible for them.
6.108. Revile not those
unto whom they pray beside Allah lest they wrongfully revile Allah through
ignorance. Thus unto every nation have We made their deed seem fair. Then unto
their Lord is their return, and He will tell them what they used to do.
2Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, . (ESV)
Deuteronomy 4:35 To you it was shown, that you might know that the LORD is God; there is no other besides him. (ESV)
1Corinthians 8:6 yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist. (ESV)
1Corinthians 5:11 But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler—not even to eat with such a one. (ESV)
Ezekiel 18:20 The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not suffer for the iniquity of the father, nor the father suffer for the iniquity of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself. (ESV)
Jude 1:9 But Michael the archangel, when he disputed with the devil and argued about the body of Moses, did not dare pronounce against him a railing judgment, but said, "The Lord rebuke you!" (NAS)
Proverbs 16:25
There is a way which seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death. (NAS)
Mankind will face the resurrection and their deeds will be explained to
them. Each are selected for calling in their own time and to the First or
Second Resurrection as they are fit and able. Many are called but few are
chosen.
6.109. And they swear a
solemn oath by Allah that if there come unto them a portent they will believe
therein. Say; Portents are with Allah and (so is) that which telleth you that
if such came unto them they would not believe.
6.110.
We confound their hearts and their eyes. As they believed not therein at the
first, We let them wander blindly on in their contumacy.
6.111. And though We
should send down the angels unto them, and the dead should speak unto them, and
We should gather against them all things in array, they would not believe
unless Allah so willed. Howbeit, most of them are ignorant.
Luke 16:31 "But he said to him, 'If they
do not listen to Moses and the
Prophets, they will not be persuaded even if someone rises from the
dead.'" (NAS)
Romans 1:21 For although they knew God, they
did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their
thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. (ESV)
Ephesians 4:18 They are darkened in their
understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is
in them, due to their hardness of heart. (ESV)
John 6:44 No one can come to me unless the
Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day. (ESV)
Those not predestined to be called and chosen according to God’s plan cannot
come to understanding. Proofs of His existence have always been there for those
who can see, if they can see it will be good for them. If they close their eyes
it will be to their ruin. All of their so called gods cannot be equal to the
Most High God.
John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and
the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me.
They will not believe whatever came their way as their hearts have been
sealed. Christ was an angel sent to them and he gave the law to Moses. Gabriel
was sent to Mariam and Zechariah and Elisabeth, the apostles and Qasim the
Arabian Prophet and the later prophets. So also Satan established their
adversaries as they were allowed.
6.112. Thus have We
appointed unto every prophet an adversary - devils of humankind and jinn who
inspire in one another plausible discourse through guile. If thy Lord willed,
they would not do so; so leave them alone with their devising;
6.113. That the hearts of those who believe not in the Hereafter may incline
thereto, and that they may take pleasure therein, and that they may earn what
they are earning.
James 1:2-4 Count it all joy, my brethren, when you meet various trials, 3for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. 4And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
Matthew 18:7 Woe to the world for temptations to sin! For it is necessary that temptations come, but woe to the man by whom the temptation comes!
2Thessalonians 2:11-12 Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, 12in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. (ESV)
6.114. Shall I seek other
than Allah for judge, when He it is Who hath revealed unto you (this)
Scripture, fully explained? Those unto whom We gave the Scripture (aforetime)
know that it is revealed from thy Lord in truth. So be not thou (O Muhammad) of
the waverers.
6.115. Perfected is the
Word of thy Lord in truth and justice. There is naught that can change His
words. He is the Hearer, the Knower.
James 4:12
There is one lawgiver and judge, he who is able to save and to destroy. But who
are you that you judge your neighbor?
Psalm
119:105 Thy word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Psalm
119:160 The sum of thy word is truth; and every one of thy righteous ordinances
endures for ever.
John 17:17
Sanctify them in the truth; thy word is truth.
God hears all things and knows everything – a reference to Psalm 139. How
can anyone claiming the faith deny the Scriptures?
6.116. If thou obeyedst most of those on earth they would mislead thee far from
Allah's way. They follow naught but an opinion, and they do but guess.
6.117. Lo! thy Lord, He knoweth best who erreth from His way; and He knoweth
best (who are) the rightly guided.
Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world--he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.
Matthew 24:24 For false Christs and false prophets will arise and show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.
2Corinthians 11:13-15 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. 14And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. 15So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds. (ESV)
Psalm 119:118 You reject all who wander from your statutes, since their deceitfulness is vain. (ISV)
Psalm 4:3 But know that the LORD has set apart the godly for himself; the LORD hears when I call to him. (ESV)
6.118. Eat of that over which the name of Allah hath been mentioned, if ye are
believers in His revelations.
6.119. How should ye not eat of that over which the
name of Allah hath been mentioned, when He hath explained unto you that which
is forbidden unto you unless ye are compelled thereto. But lo! many are led
astray by their own lusts through ignorance. Lo! thy Lord, He is Best Aware of
the transgressors.
1Timothy 4:3-4 who forbid marriage and enjoin abstinence from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. 4For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving;
Philippians 3:19 Their end is destruction, their god is their belly, and they glory in their shame, with minds set on earthly things. (ESV)
Romans 16:18 For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive. (ESV)
6.120. Forsake the outwardness of sin and the
inwardness thereof. Lo! those who garner sin will be awarded that which they
have earned.
Psalm 19:12 But who can discern his errors? Clear thou
me from hidden faults.
1Thessalonians 5:22 Abstain from every form of evil. (ESV)
Romans 6:23 For
the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ
Jesus our Lord.
6.121. And eat not of that whereon Allah's name hath not been mentioned, for
lo! it is abomination. Lo! the devils do inspire their minions to dispute with
you. But if ye obey them, ye will be in truth idolaters.
1Corinthians 10:28 However, if someone says to you, "This
was offered as a sacrifice," don't eat it, both out of consideration for
the one who told you and also for the sake of conscience. (ISV)
6.122. Is he who was dead and We have raised him unto life, and set for him a
light wherein he walketh among men, as him whose similitude is in utter
darkness whence he cannot emerge? Thus is their conduct made fairseeming for
the disbelievers.
2Corinthians 6:14-16 Do not be unequally yoked
with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or
what fellowship has light with darkness? 15What accord has Christ
with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever? 16What
agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living
God; as God said, “I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and
I will be their God, and they shall be my people. (ESV)
Isaiah 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good
and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put
bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! (ESV)
6.123. And thus have We made in every city great ones of its wicked ones, that
they should plot therein. They do but plot against themselves, though they
perceive not.
Proverbs 14:12 There is a way that seems right
to a man, but its end is the way to death. (ESV)
Proverbs 30:12 There are those who are clean
in their own eyes but are not washed of their filth. (ESV)
Job 4:8 As I have seen, those who plow
iniquity and sow trouble reap the same. (ESV)
6.124. And when a token cometh unto them, they say: We will not believe till
we are given that which Allah's messengers are given. Allah knoweth best with
whom to place His message. Humiliation from Allah and heavy punishment will
smite the guilty for their scheming.
John 4:48 So Jesus said to him, “Unless you see signs and wonders you will not believe.” (ESV)
Isaiah 55:9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. (ESV)
Isaiah 2:12 For the LORD of hosts will have a day of reckoning against everyone who is proud and lofty and against everyone who is lifted up, That he may be abased. (NAS)
6.125. And whomsoever it is Allah's will to guide, He expandeth his bosom unto
the Surrender, and whomsoever it is His Will to send astray, He maketh his
bosom close and narrow as if he were engaged in sheer ascent. Thus Allah layeth
ignominy upon those who believe not.
6.126. This is the path of thy Lord, a straight path. We have detailed Our
revelations for a people who take heed.
6.127. For them is the abode of peace with their Lord. He will be their
Protecting Friend because of what they used to do.
Romans 8:28-30 And we know that for those who
love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according
to his purpose. 29For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to
be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn
among many brothers. 30And those whom he predestined he also called,
and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also
glorified. (ESV)
Romans 9:18 So then he has mercy on whomever
he wills, and he hardens whomever he wills. (ESV)
John 16:13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he
will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority,
but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that
are to come. (ESV)
One group baptised
and keeping the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper practicing righteousness is
entitled to eternal life, the other is going to the Second Resurrection to face
corrective training to lead them to repentance. The way that seems right leads
to ruin and humiliation.
6.128. In
the day when He will gather them together (He will say): O ye assembly of the
jinn! Many of humankind did ye seduce. And their adherents among humankind will
say: Our Lord! We enjoyed one another, but now we have arrived at the appointed
term which Thou appointedst for us. He will say: Fire is your home. Abide
therein for ever, save him whom Allah willeth (to deliver). Lo! thy Lord is
Wise, Aware.
6.129. Thus We let some of the wrong-doers have power over others because of
what they are wont to earn.
6.130. O ye assembly of the jinn and humankind! Came there not unto you
messengers of your own who recounted unto you My tokens and warned you of the
meeting of this your Day? They will say: We testify against ourselves. And the
life of the world beguiled them. And they testify against themselves that they
were disbelievers.
6.131. This is because thy Lord destroyeth not the
townships arbitrarily while their people are unconscious (of the wrong they
do).
Revelation 12:9
states that Satan with his demons (the jinn or djinn) has deceived the whole
world i.e. the vast majority. His minions oppressed the elect and profited from
each other. They deserve the Second Resurrection and the intensive corrective
training they will get (see the paper Judgment of the Demons (No. 080)).
The messengers
were sent to warn them of the consequences of their wrong deeds. They will bear
witness against themselves that the life of the world deceived them.
Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and
desperately corrupt; who can understand it?
Romans 8:5-8 For those who live according to the flesh
set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the
Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. 6To set the mind
on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. 7For
the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to
God's law, indeed it cannot; 8and those who are in the flesh cannot
please God.
1John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of
the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life, is not of the Father
but is of the world.
God does nothing save that first He warns those people by his servants
(2Chr. 19:10; Ezek. 3:18-21; 33:3, 7-9; Acts 20:31; 1Thes. 5:14).
Revelation 20:12-15 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done. 13And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done. 14Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. 15And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. (ESV)
6.132. For all there will be ranks from what they did. Thy Lord is not unaware
of what they do.
Romans 2:6 For he will render to every man according to his works:
Jeremiah 17:10 "I the LORD search the mind and try the heart, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings."
Thus all are awarded responsibilities over time
6.133. Thy Lord is the Absolute, the Lord of Mercy. If He will, He can remove
you and can cause what He will to follow after you, even as He raised you from
the seed of other folk.
Matthew 3:9-10 Don't think you can say to yourselves, 'We have father Abraham!' because I tell you that God can raise up descendants for Abraham from these stones! 10The ax already lies against the roots of the trees. So every tree that isn’t producing good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire. (ISV)
Romans 11:17-22 Now if some of the branches have been
broken off, and you, a wild olive branch, have been grafted in their place to
share the rich root of the olive tree, 18do not boast about being
better than the other branches. If you boast, remember that you do not support
the root, but the root supports you. 19Then you will say,
"Branches were cut off so that I could be grafted in." 20That's
right! They were broken off because of their unbelief, but you remain only
because of faith. Do not be arrogant, but be afraid! 21For if God
did not spare the natural branches, he certainly will not spare you, either. 22Consider,
then, the kindness and severity of God: his severity toward those who fell, but
God's kindness toward you—if you continue receiving his kindness. Otherwise,
you too will be cut off. (ISV)
6.134. Lo! that which ye are promised will surely come to pass, and ye cannot
escape
Psalm 119:140 Thy promise is well tried, and thy
servant loves it.
If God has
promised good it will come to pass, if He has promised punishment He is able to
bring it about.
6.135. Say (O Muhammad): O my people! Work according to your power. Lo! I too
am working. Thus ye will come to know for which of us will be the happy sequel.
Lo! the wrong-doers will not be successful.
Revelation 22:11-12 Let the evildoer still do evil, and the filthy still be filthy, and the righteous still do right, and the holy still be holy." 12"Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense, to repay every one for what he has done.
6.136. They assign unto Allah, of the crops and cattle which He created, a
portion, and they say: "This is Allah's" - in their make-believe -
"and this is for (His) partners in regard to us." Thus that which
(they assign) unto His partners in them reacheth not Allah and that which (they
assign) unto Allah goeth to their (so-called) partners. Evil is their
ordinance.
6.137. Thus have their (so-called) partners (of Allah) made
the killing of their children to seem fair unto many of the idolaters, that
they may ruin them and make their faith obscure for them. Had Allah willed (it
otherwise), they had not done so. So leave them alone with their devices.
6.138. And they say: Such cattle and crops are forbidden. No-one is to eat
of them save whom we will - in their make-believe - cattle whose backs are
forbidden, cattle over which they mention not the name of Allah. (All that is)
a lie against Him. He will repay them for that which they invent.
6.139. And they say: That which is in the bellies of such cattle is reserved
for our males and is forbidden to our wives; but if it be born dead, then they
(all) may be partakers thereof. He will reward them for their attribution (of
such ordinances unto Him). Lo, He is Wise, Aware.
6.140. They are losers who besottedly have slain their children without
knowledge, and have forbidden that which Allah bestowed upon them, inventing a
lie against Allah. They indeed have gone astray and are not guided.
Matthew 22:21 They said, "Caesar's." Then he said to them, "Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's."
These are the
pagan practices that they use to subvert the Tithes and Offerings of the
faith. Their eating of the dead is another
sin and so is their slaying of the young contrary to the laws of God in the
allocation of the Firstborn and a number of ordinances.
All that there is
belongs to God. He just requires a tenth so that He can bless us. What have
these so called gods done that these deceived give them God’s tenth as well.
Leviticus 18:21 You shall not give any of your children to devote them by fire to Molech, and so profane the name of your God: I am the LORD.
Deuteronomy 12:31 You shall not do so to the LORD your God; for every abominable thing which the LORD hates they have done for their gods; for they even burn their sons and their daughters in the fire to their gods.
Ephesians 4:18 they are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart;
Proverbs 21:2 Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the LORD weighs the heart.
1Timothy 4:3-5 who forbid marriage and enjoin abstinence from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. 4For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving; 5for then it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.
Deuteronomy 4:2 You shall not add to the word that I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God that I command you. (ESV)
Revelation 22:18-19 I warn every one who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if any one adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, 19and if any one takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.
Those who add to
His words will suffer ruin. Those who remove from His words will lose their lives.
Both groups end up in the Second Resurrection.
6.141. He it is Who produceth gardens trellised and untrellised, and the
date-palm, and crops of divers flavour, and the olive and the pomegranate, like
and unlike. Eat ye of the fruit thereof when it fruiteth, and pay the due
thereof upon the harvest day, and be not prodigal. Lo! Allah loveth not the
prodigals.
Genesis 1:29 And God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food. (ESV)
The requirement to tithe is stated here (cf. the paper
Tithing (No. 161)).
6.142. And of the cattle (He
produceth) some for burdens, some for food. Eat of that which Allah hath
bestowed upon you, and follow not the footsteps of the devil, for lo! he is an
open foe to you.
Genesis 9:3-4 Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. And as I gave you the green plants, I give you everything. 4But you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood. (ESV)
1Peter 5:8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. (ESV)
James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (ESV)
6.143. Eight pairs: Of the sheep twain, and of the goats twain. Say: Hath He
forbidden the two males or the two females, or that which the wombs of the two
females contain? Expound to me (the case) with knowledge, if ye are truthful.
6.144. And of the camels twain and of the oxen twain. Say: Hath He forbidden
the two males or the two females, or that which the wombs of the two females
contain; or were ye by to witness when Allah commanded you (all) this? Then who
doth greater wrong than he who deviseth a lie concerning Allah, that he may
lead mankind astray without knowledge. Lo! Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk.
Romans 16:18 For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive. (ESV)
Psalm 58:3 The wicked are estranged from the womb; they go astray from birth, speaking lies. (ESV)
6.145. Say: I find not in that which is revealed
unto me aught prohibited to an eater that he eat thereof, except it be carrion,
or blood poured forth, or swineflesh - for that verily is foul - or the
abomination which was immolated to the name of other than Allah. But whoso is compelled
(thereto), neither craving nor transgressing, (for him) lo! thy Lord is
Forgiving, Merciful.
6.146. Unto those who are Jews We forbade every
animal with claws. And of the oxen and the sheep forbade We unto them the fat
thereof save that upon the backs or the entrails, or that which is mixed with
the bone. That we awarded them for their rebellion. And lo! we verily are
truthful.
6.147. So if they give the lie to thee (Muhammad), say: Your Lord is a Lord
of All-Embracing Mercy, and His wrath will never be withdrawn from guilty folk.
Leviticus 11 and
Deuteronomy 14 provide information on clean and unclean food (see the papers The Food Laws (No. 015)).
The texts here refer to the law of Kashrut that were brought up by Judah and
originally stemmed from Egypt. The Hadith uses the texts to eat every vile and
unclean thing.
Acts 15:20 but should write to them to abstain from the pollutions of idols and from unchastity and from what is strangled and from blood.
This text comes in initialy from the Acts Conference and applies to
slaves who are the property of other nations and not of the faith (see the
paper The Acts 15 Conference (No. 069)).
The next applies to Gnostics and their false doctrines.
1Timothy 4:3-4 who forbid marriage and require abstinence from foods that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. 4For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving (ESV)
Leviticus 7:22-27 The LORD said to Moses, 23"Say to the people of Israel, You shall eat no fat, of ox, or sheep, or goat. 24The fat of an animal that dies of itself, and the fat of one that is torn by beasts, may be put to any other use, but on no account shall you eat it. 25For every person who eats of the fat of an animal of which an offering by fire is made to the LORD shall be cut off from his people. 26Moreover you shall eat no blood whatever, whether of fowl or of animal, in any of your dwellings. 27Whoever eats any blood, that person shall be cut off from his people."
1Corinthians 10:28 But if anyone says to
you, "This is meat sacrificed to idols," do not eat it, for the sake
of the one who informed you, and for conscience' sake; (NAS)
6.148. They who are idolaters will say: Had Allah willed, we had not
ascribed (unto Him) partners neither had our fathers, nor had we forbidden
aught. Thus did those who were before them give the lie (to Allah's messengers)
till they tasted of the fear of Us. Say: Have ye any knowledge that ye can
adduce for Us? Lo! ye follow naught but an opinion, Lo! ye do but guess.
6.149. Say - For Allah's is the final argument - Had He willed He could
indeed have guided all of you.
6.150. Say: Come, bring your witnesses who can bear witness that Allah
forbade (all) this. And if they bear witness, do not thou bear witness with
them. Follow thou not the whims of those who deny Our revelations, those who
believe not in the Hereafter and deem (others) equal with their Lord.
6.151. Say: Come, I will recite unto you that which your Lord hath made a
sacred duty for you: That ye ascribe no thing as partner unto Him and that ye
do good to parents, and that ye slay not your children because of penury - We
provide for you and for them - and that ye draw not nigh to lewd things whether
open or concealed. And that ye slay not the life which Allah hath made sacred,
save in the course of justice. This He hath command you, in order that ye may
discern.
6.152. And approach not the wealth of the orphan save with that which is
better, till he reach maturity. Give full measure and full weight, in justice.
We task not any soul beyond its scope. And if ye give your word, do justice
thereunto, even though it be (against) a kinsman; and fulfil the covenant of
Allah. This He commandeth you that haply ye may remember.
6.153. And (He commandeth you, saying): This is My straight path, so follow
it. Follow not other ways, lest ye be parted from His way. This hath He
ordained for you, that ye may ward off (evil).
6.154. Again, We gave the Scripture unto Moses, complete for him who would
do good, an explanation of all things, a guidance and a mercy, that they might
believe in the meeting with their Lord.
6.155. And this is a blessed
Scripture which We have revealed. So follow it and ward off (evil), that ye may
find mercy.
Deuteronomy 5:7-8 'You shall have no other gods before me. 8"'You shall not make for yourself a graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth;
You shall not bow down to them or worship them.
Man was given free
choice without which we would all be robots all designed to go just as the
designer wants us to do.
Isaiah 33:22 For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our
ruler, the LORD is our king; he will save us.

nor shall you bear witness in a suit, turning aside after a multitude, so as to
pervert justice;
2Corinthians 6:14 Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers.
For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has
light with darkness? (ESV)
2Corinthians 4:4 In their case the god of this world has
blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the
gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the likeness of God. Who is the image of God.
1Timothy 5:4 If a widow has children or grandchildren,
let them first learn their religious duty to their own family and make some
return to their parents; for this is acceptable in the sight of God.
Ephesians 5:11-12 Take no part in the unfruitful works of
darkness, but instead expose them. 12For it is a shame even to speak
of the things that they do in secret;
Isaiah 1:17 learn to do good; seek justice, correct
oppression; defend the fatherless, plead for the widow.
1Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you that is not
common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your
strength, but with the temptation will also provide the way of escape, that you
may be able to endure it.
Psalm15:4 The one who despises those who are utterly
wicked, but who honors the one who fears the LORD, who keeps his word even when
it hurts and does not change, (ISV)
Mark 12:31 The second is this, 'You shall love your
neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these."
2Timothy 3:16-17 All scripture is inspired by God and
profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in
righteousness, 17that the man
of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
6.156. Lest ye should say: The Scripture was revealed only to two sects
before us, and we in sooth were unaware of what they read;
6.157. Or lest ye should say: If the Scripture had been revealed unto us, we
surely had been better guided than are they. Now hath there come unto you a
clear proof from your Lord, a guidance and mercy; and who doeth greater wrong
than he who denieth the revelations of Allah, and turneth away from them? We
award unto those who turn away from Our revelations an evil doom because of
their aversion.
6.158. Wait they, indeed, for nothing less than that the angels should come
unto them, or thy Lord should come, or there should come one of the portents
from thy Lord? In the day when one of the portents from thy Lord cometh, its
belief availeth naught a soul which theretofore believed not, nor in its belief
earned good (by works). Say: Wait ye! Lo! We (too) are waiting.
This was a
prophecy that was fulfilled by the Hadithic Muslims who denied the Scriptures
and say to this day they are lost. They will be destroyed by the Messiah.
Matthew 12:39-42 But he answered them, "An evil and adulterous generation seeks for a sign; but no sign shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. 40For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the whale, so will the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. 41The men of Nineveh will arise at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and behold, something greater than Jonah is here. 42The queen of the South will arise at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and behold, something greater than Solomon is here.
Matthew 11:20-24 Then he began to upbraid the cities where most of his mighty works had been done, because they did not repent. 21"Woe to you, Chorazin! woe to you, Beth-saida! for if the mighty works done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. 22But I tell you, it shall be more tolerable on the day of judgment for Tyre and Sidon than for you. 23And you, Caperna-um, will you be exalted to heaven? You shall be brought down to Hades. For if the mighty works done in you had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. 24But I tell you that it shall be more tolerable on the day of judgment for the land of Sodom than for you."
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
Only those truly
called and chosen will believe in the revelations, to the others they are just
words that do not make sense. Once the prophesied event is fulfilled it may be
too late for some. This is evident from the paper on The Sign of Jonah and
the History of the Reconstruction of the Temple (No. 013).
6.159. Lo! As for those who sunder their religion and become schismatics, no
concern at all hast thou with them. Their case will go to Allah, Who then will
tell them what they used to do.
Romans 16:17-18 I appeal to you, brethren, to take note of those who create dissensions and difficulties, in opposition to the doctrine which you have been taught; avoid them. 18For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by fair and flattering words they deceive the hearts of the simple-minded.
They will be dealt
with in the Second Resurrection and their misunderstandings cleared up and
corrected.
6.160. Whoso bringeth a good deed will receive tenfold the like thereof,
while whoso bringeth an ill-deed will be awarded but the like thereof; and they
will not be wronged.

me unto a straight path, a right religion, the community of Abraham, the
upright, who was no idolater.

6.162. Say: Lo! my worship and my sacrifice and my living and my dying are
for Allah, Lord of the Worlds.

mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and
acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.
Romans 14:8 if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we
die, we die to the Lord; so then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the
Lord's.
6.163. He hath no partner. This am I commanded, and I am first of those who
surrender (unto Him).
1Peter 5:6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty
hand of God, that in due time he may exalt you.

every tongue shall give praise to God."
1Corinthians 8:5-6 For even if there are
so-called gods whether in heaven or on earth, as indeed there are many gods and
many lords, 6yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom
are all things and we exist for Him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are
all things, and we exist through Him. (NAS)
6.164. Say: Shall I seek another than Allah for Lord, when He is Lord of all
things? Each soul earneth only on its own account, nor doth any laden bear
another's load. Then unto your Lord is your return and He will tell you that
wherein ye differed.
Psalm 115:3 Our God is in the heavens; he does whatever he pleases.

Revelation 20:12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Also another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, by what they had done.
6.165. He it is Who hath placed you as viceroys of the earth and hath
exalted some of you in rank above others, that He may try you by (the test of)
that which He hath given you. Lo! Thy Lord is swift in prosecution, and Lo! He
verily is Forgiving, Merciful.
