Intercalations in God's Calendar (No. 156F)

Introduction

In the beginning Eloah, the One True God, created the heavens and the earth (Job 38:4-7, Gen. 1:1 and Prov. 30:4-5). He summoned all the Sons of God and their Morning Stars to be present. It was not created tohu and bohu or waste and void (Isa. 45:18). It became waste and void (as we see from Gen. 1:2). God then sent the elohim host, to refurbish the earth (Gen. 1:3-25). God said to the divine council of the elohim that man was to be made in the likeness of the elohim of the Divine Council (Gen. 1:26 see also OARSV n.). The heavens were set to a plan of regulation that formed a calendar system that was observable from the Beginning and did not need man to determine or regulate by any system of his own making. It certainly did not depend on a group of Levites and Jews to determine by observation and declare by false systems derived from the Sun and Mystery cults, developed from Babylon, prior to the Exodus in the Moon God Sin and the Goddess Ishtar, and then and later in the Seventh Century from there.

The system was given to the patriarchs from the beginning, and they had that knowledge right up to the Flood and Noah gave that system to his sons on the Ark and the timings of the flood were determined according to that calendar. The sons of Noah gave their sons and tribes understanding of the Lunar/Solar Calendar and the entire world was run according to that calendar. It was dependent on the turning of the year in the Northern Spring at the solar equinox for its beginning of the year at the New Moon nearest the Vernal Equinox (Tishri in Relation to the Equinox (No. 175); The Meaning of Ezekiel’s Vision (No. 108); Reading the Law with Ezra and Nehemiah (250); The Calendar and the Moon Postponements of Festivals (No. 195); Fall of Jerusalem to Babylon (No. 250B); Alleged Bible Contradictions (No. 164B); Commentary on UCG Doctrinal Statement on the Calendar (206)).

The Calendar was determined by the astronomical observation of the Conjunction to determine the New Moon and the beginning and end of the Months in each year. The conjunction is the exact alignment of the sun, moon and the earth and yields no light at the conjunction. The patriarchs kept this calendar, and it was reissued by Moses at Sinai on the instruction of the Angel of Yahovah, who was given Israel as his inheritance by Eloah when he allocated responsibilities to the sons of God in Deuteronomy 32:8-9. This was all determined by the Omniscience of God within His Predestination (No. 296) and as part of the Plan of God (No. 001A) (see also Nos. 001B and 001C). God had developed the Sons of Issachar to understand the sequence of the heavens and understand astronomy and they were allocated responsibility for its determination in Israel. They carried on this responsibility in Israel and when David was declared king, they presented themselves to declare him king and to ensure the astronomical schools were established under his new kingdom. We know beyond doubt that the New Moons were kept by calculation in the astronomical schools until the Temple was destroyed in 70 CE. The Temple Calendar was also determined by the New Moon in Abib which began the year. The Anglo-Saxons retained the New Year in March until 1752. The history and the calculation of God's Calendar in the Temple Period is recorded by Philo from the First Century BCE/CE and his record is preserved (see No. 156).

Babel and the Dispersion

The whole earth was of one language. They settled in Shinar and began to build the city and Tower of Babel (Gen. 11:1-9 comp. 10:5, 20, 31). After the episode at the Tower of Babel the elohim intervened to slow down the development of human progress and by an unspecified process they altered human DNA and spread them across the continents. This confused their speech and may have been by a retrovirus of some description.

From this time the nations of the Middle East spread East with the Sumerians into India, at Harappa and Mohenjo Daro (Mysticism Part I (B7_i; B7_6) and to the bend in the Yellow River with the Chinese (B7_8; No. 46A1), and on into the West with the movement into the Americas with the Hgs. O and C3. and into the Isles with the Magogites. They were not followed there until the Wilusian Hittite Hg. R1b Celts after the Fall of Troy, when Eli was Judge in Israel, and Semitic Hg. I (Isles) Tuatha De Danaan from Palestine in the end of the Second Millennium BCE and beginning of the First Millennium BCE (see Israel No. 212F and Judah No. 212E).

Other National Calendars

As a result of the dispersion, the calendars were displaced with the tribes and nations into Egypt and Africa generally, into Thrace, and Europe, and all over Asia.

Each calendar developed the Intercalation system according to the Conjunction except in the Babylonians which spread according to the worship of the Moon God Sin (see The Golden Calf (No. 222) (B7_3)) and the consort of Sin or Baal as Ashtoreth, Astarte, Ishtar or Easter and the sub-deities as Baal, Hubal, Attis (in the west), Adonis (in Greece and Thrace), Osirus (and Isis and Horus in Egypt.)

China maintained the Lunisolar calendar but made a specific and fatal alteration which placed them a month or sometimes two earlier than the Ancient Hebrew Calendar given to the Patriarchs and Israel. The New Moon is referred to as Choy Yat but the New Year has crept forward to February instead of March as it was originally. The New Moon is called the emperor's shame if it is not calculated correctly in the astronomical schools.

Lunisolar years

The solar year does not have a whole number of lunar months (it is about 365/29.5 = 12.37 lunations), so a lunisolar calendar must have a variable number of months in a year. Regular years have 12 months, but embolismic years insert a 13th "intercalary" or "leap" or "embolismic" month every second or third year (see blue moon). Whether to insert an intercalary month in a given year may be determined using regular cycles such as the 19-year Metonic cycle (Hebrew calendar and in the determination of Easter) or using calculations of lunar phases (Hindu lunisolar and Chinese calendars). The Buddhist calendar adds both an intercalary day and month on a usually regular cycle.

The Laws concerning the Jubilee are listed at Leviticus 25:8-17. It is fifty years involving seven lots of Sabbath Year systems. The Fiftieth year is the Jubilee running from Atonement of the forty-ninth Sabbath year to Atonement of the Fiftieth year as a Jubilee year. The period from end Tabernacles to the New year is used by the new or restored owners to regain (perhaps also their freedom) and work their land for the next year’s harvests. This system was kept on in the Temple system until the destruction of the Temple in 70 CE. The Pharisees did all they could to disrupt the system in Judah but were unsuccessful while the land-owning Sadducees ran the Temple system. That stopped in 70 CE under the War with Rome (No. 298) and the Pharisees formed the rabbinical system and destroyed the Biblical structure as they had done before and so forcing the Babylonian captivity (see Jer. 8:7-8; F024ii; Ezekiel F026ix, x, xi, xii). They were to be punished for this heresy and again for the errors of the dispersion in which they created a 49 year jubilee and their destruction of the Biblical system. They faced the Holocaust (1941-1945) because of this and will face the Second Holocaust from 2021 to 2027 as will the Churches of God keeping Hillel.

The Jubilee system will be restored at the Return of the Messiah (see the Golden Jubilee (No. 300).

Biblical Intercalations and Astronomy

The determination of the Astronomical Schools was established in ancient Israel with the tribe of Issachar. Of these, two hundred chief men, (with their men under them) all with understanding of the times, came to David at Hebron to make him king and effectively establish the astronomical schools for the determination in Israel, under the new king. (see also 159B)

And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment.

Also David under Saul used a calculated calendar.

And David said unto Jonathan, Behold, tomorrow is the new moon, and I should not fail to sit with the king at meat: but let me go, that I may hide myself in the field unto the third day at even.

There are no specific biblical references to Adar II as the Intercalary month, but it has always existed in Ancient Israel, being tied to the turning of the year at the spring equinox. It occurs in all other lunisolar calendars including the Hindu and the Buddhist, except for that of later Islam.

The Macedonian Calendar adopted the Babylonian system that was implemented from the Seventh Century BCE in Babylon. Those interactions are not compatible with the Hebrew Calendar and the Heavenly rotation of the Sun and Moon, and were adopted by the Hillel High Priesthood in 344 CE, from two Rabbis from Babylon and issued as the Jewish Hillel Calendar in 358 CE.

The Early Arabic Calendar also used intercalations and the Temple Calendar was used in early Islam, not Hillel. See Hebrew and Islamic Calendar Reconciled (No. 053); Christianity and Islam in the Covenant of God (No. 096C); Sabbath in the Koran (No. 274); Jumaah: Preparing for the Sabbath (No. 285).

After the Abbassid Revolution the Intercalations were abandoned through the Hadith, and the twelve months were then left to rotate wildly through the year.

All of these calendars did not use observation until the fraud and fiction of observation was introduced into the worship of Sin in Babylon and in Egypt for reports as the “finger of Ashirat” (see No. 222; B7_ 6 ).

In Judah the fraud of observation was not introduced until the Fall of the Temple and the Pharisees took over as the rabbis. They took over the system from Jamia and introduced the fiction of observation to alter the New Moons so they could effect a system of postponements, and then after the Introduction of Hillel in 358 CE they no longer needed them. They maintain the lie of Observations to this day to promote the fiction that there was no system of astronomical observation in the Temple Period as determined in the astronomical schools. This fraud was maintained when Armstrong and Dugger introduced the Hillel Calendar to the Church of God (SD) in the US.

They will be punished for this heresy as we see in Jeremiah (F024, vii, xiv) and Ezekiel (F026; ix, x, xi, xii).

The lies put out by post Temple Rabbinical Judaism are shameless and the uneducated are often taken in by them, and some because they want to be deceived. The entire structure of the Church of God (SD) and Armstrongism in RCG and WCG and their offshoots were deceived by it and lost their place and positions in the First Resurrection. Often the uninformed of their systems will quote Jewish propaganda re observations to even deny intercalations in the Temple Calendar as illustrated by Philo in the Special Laws (see God's Calendar (No. 156)).

From Hillel, Babylonian Intercalations and the Temple Calendar (No. 195C)

Babylonian Intercalations

God spoke through the prophet Zechariah and He said what He would do in relation to the Worship of His House.

Zechariah 5:1-11 Again I lifted my eyes and saw, and behold, a flying scroll! ²And he said to me, "What do you see?" I answered, "I see a flying scroll; its length is twenty cubits, and its breadth ten cubits." ³Then he said to me, "This is the curse that goes out over the face of the whole land; for every one who steals shall be cut off henceforth according to it, and every one who swears falsely shall be cut off henceforth according to it. ⁴I will send it forth, says the LORD of hosts, and it shall enter the house of the thief, and the house of him who swears falsely by my name; and it shall abide in his house and consume it, both timber and stones." ⁵Then the angel who talked with me came forward and said to me, "Lift your eyes, and see what this is that goes forth." ⁶And I said, "What is it?" He said, "This is the ephah that goes forth." And he said, "This is their iniquity in all the land." ⁷And behold, the leaden cover was lifted, and there was a woman sitting in the ephah! ⁸And he said, "This is Wickedness." And he thrust her back into the ephah, and thrust down the leaden weight upon its mouth. ⁹Then I lifted my eyes and saw, and behold, two women coming forward! The wind was in their wings; they had wings like the wings of a stork, and they lifted up the ephah between earth and heaven. ¹⁰Then I said to the angel who talked with me, "Where are they taking the ephah?" ¹¹He said to me, "To the land of Shinar, to build a house for it; and when this is prepared, they will set the ephah down there on its base."

These people who thieve and swear falsely by God’s Name and use the system of worship of the House of God are punished and cut off.

This transfer into the Babylonian Mystery Cults has happened in Judah and in the 20^th century it took over the Churches of God with the Hillel Calendar.

We have seen it established among God’s people and their ministry have lied to them and their people love to have it so.

We will now explain how that Babylonian system was placed among the people of God.

This paper deals with the false doctrine of the Hillel Calendar as used by the Modern Jews and the WCG offshoots.

These are the questions that any serious Bible Student or follower of God and the Bible should ask and then answer.

When did the Hillel Calendar come into effect? On what is it based?

Why are its intercalations different from the old Temple Calendar system according to the conjunctions and also the Church of God determinations of the Lord's Supper in the 20^th century?

How do we know for certain that it was never in use during the Temple period?

When were its last modifications made and by whom?

What are the punishments according to God’s Law for keeping the Hillel Calendar or any other system not according to God’s law?

There are specific and definitive punishments for keeping the Hillel or Modern Jewish Calendar and it will cost any member of the Church of God the First Resurrection for doing so and it is that important!

A year in the Hebrew Calendar is normally twelve months beginning from Abib or Nisan. The months are Nisan, Iyar, Sivan, Tammuz, Av, Elul, Tishrei, Cheshvan, Kislev, Tevet, Sh'vat and Adar.

In the Modern Jewish Calendar the year begins in Tishri and the Babylonian Rosh HaShanah is observed in Tishri contrary to Biblical Law.

The Temple Calendar (and the Calendar that CCG follows) has a calendar of normally twelve months.

Adar II, the extra month, is intercalated in seven of every nineteen years.
Years: 2,5,7,10,13,15,18.

The years 2, 5, and 13 are the very earliest possible and that means the 7th month will be as early as 31 August, or 1,2,3 of September.

There are 17 times in 100 years (2 Jubilees) that this intercalation happens. The Jubilees are in years 27 and 77 of the Current or Modern Era; hence 1927, 1977 and 2027.

These are the 17 years:

1929, 1932, 1940, 1948, 1951, 1959,
1967, 1970, 1978, 1986, 1989, 1997,
2005, 2008, 2016, 2024, 2027.

These are the years from March to March. In these years the Hillel Calendar is ONE MONTH later than the Temple Calendar and that which CCG uses.

The following is information from a typical Hillel Calendar. They actually use the word POSTPONED.

Once the date of the Molad of Tishrei (or Tishri) has been calculated, some additional considerations must be taken into account to determine the actual date of Rosh HaShanah (the New Year of Tishrei). These considerations may cause the actual date of 1 Tishrei to be postponed from the date of the Molad Tishrei. There are four such postponements:

First, if the time of the Molad of Tishrei is later than 18 hours from the beginning of the day, Rosh HaShanah is postponed to the next day. This probably accounts for or is based on the fact that the young moon could not have been observed until the next day.

Second, for common years only, if the Molad of Tishrei falls on a Tuesday and is later than nine hours and 204 halakhim from the start of the day, Rosh HaShanah is postponed to the next day. This rule prevents a situation in which the postponements for the next year would require the year to be 356 days long.

Third, for years following leap years only, if the Molad Tishrei falls on a Monday, and is later than 15 hours and 589 halakhim from the start of the day, Rosh HaShanah is postponed to the next day. This rule prevents a situation that would require the previous year to be only 352 days long.

Finally, if Rosh HaShanah would fall on Sunday, Wednesday, or Friday, it is postponed to the next day. In combination with one of the above postponements, Rosh HaShanah could be postponed by as much as two days. This postponement prevents certain Holy Days from falling on the Sabbath.

Those that were in the WCG system were all guilty of following the Hillel Calendar. So also the Nigerians associated with Dugger in Jerusalem.

Many didn't know, but they were still guilty. Now we all have a choice to make. Now we are beginning to know.

The Hillel Calendar determines the year from Tishrei, the 7th moon.

However, doesn't Scripture say determine it from Abib/Nisan? Yes, it does say that in Exodus 12:2 and Esther 3:7. The Babylonian Rosh HaShanah means “the head of the year” and is directly contrary to the Law of God.

No one has the right to postpone the days of God’s Calendar for any reason. Also to postpone Atonement is the same as claiming the authority to postpone the Sabbath to Sunday. None of the Churches of God did that and have never, in almost two thousand years, done so. They have never sought to change times and the Law until Armstrong and Dugger, using Hillel, did so.

The Rosh HaShanah postponement rules are an innovation of the fixed arithmetic traditional Jewish Calendar that came in under Chief Rabbi Hillel II in 358 CE. It did not exist in Judah or the Churches of God or anywhere else until 358 CE.

They did not apply the observational lunar crescent calendar that was introduced by the Pharisees after the fall of the Temple in 70 CE.

Instead, the observational calendar varied the month lengths to be 29 days if the new lunar crescent was seen at sunset at the end of the 29th day, or 30 days otherwise.

On the other hand, the Talmud Bavli mentions in tractate Rosh HaShanah that the Court (Sanhedrin calendar committee from Jamnia etc.) used to intimidate visible crescent witnesses to withdraw or confuse their testimony or to disqualify them if otherwise Rosh HaShanah would be sanctified on Wednesday or Friday (see rule #1 below).

Likewise, the Chinese Calendar, based on astronomical algorithms for the longitudes of Sun and Moon, varies the length of months from 29 to 30 days depending on the computed moment of the actual lunar conjunctions.

The Modern Jewish Calendar has constant month lengths, but something has to vary to accommodate the non-integral mean length of the Molad (representing the mean lunar cycle), which equals 29 days 12 hours 44 minutes 1 part (each "part" equals 3+1/3 seconds = 1/18 of a minute), and this is accomplished by adjusting the lengths of the two months after the previous month of Tishrei, that is Cheshvan and Kislev, according to the following four rules:

1. Molad Zakein: If the Molad of Tishrei falls on or after noon then postpone Rosh HaShanah to the next day.

2. Lo ADU Rosh: If the Molad of Tishrei falls on Sunday, Wednesday or Friday then postpone Rosh HaShanah to the next day.

3. If the Molad of Tishrei for a non-leap year (12 months) falls on Tuesday on or after 9 hours and 204 parts then postpone Rosh Hashanah to Thursday

4. If the Molad of Tishrei after a leap year (13 months) falls on Monday on or after 15 hours and 589 parts then postpone Rosh Hashanah to Tuesday.

This text (in Shurer) shows that the year could be, and was, 352-356 days in some years, whereas the postponements (in Hillel) apply the rule of 354-355 days. This is an unsubstantiated, imposed rule.

Effects of the Intercalations and Postponements

It is very important to study the history of the Temple Calendar because your capacity as a baptised person to enter the First Resurrection depends on you not keeping Hillel and keeping God's Calendar and the Sabbaths, New Moons and Feast and Holy Days.

In the year 2023 Hillel intercalates where there is no necessity and over the entire year 2024 it keeps all the feasts a month and day out and disqualifies all those keeping it from the First Resurrection (No. 143A). If the Witnesses are here then they will deal with them as they will Judah.

Restoration of God's Calendar

In the near future God will send the Messiah with the Host to salvage the mess the demons and mankind have made of the earth. They will seize Jerusalem and Palestine and raise the Resurrected Saints of the First Resurrection. They will be attacked by the NWO Globalist forces of the Beast power, and those forces will be destroyed at Armageddon. (See Nos 141E and 141E_2).) Christ will destroy all false religion on the planet (No. 141F). The Loyal Host under Messiah will restore the Temple Calendar including all Sabbaths and the New Moons. The New Moons were proven essential in the regulation of the Temple Calendar and in the proper functioning of the Maritime and Coastal Affairs of the Planet. Judah and the Churches of God keeping Hillel will be corrected and will drop Hillel as a pagan non-biblical heresy. Those that do not, will not enter the First Resurrection but commence to die and will be dead in their entirety by the start of the Millenium (see Isa. 66:23-24). All converts to Judaism will be forced to burn their copies of the Talmud and of Hillel and the forged copies of the MT, or they will be removed from Judah and sent to their original lands in the steppes and North Africa, and those in Edom and Canaan may well be deported if they do not repent.

There will be no functioning church anywhere keeping Hillel or any calendar other than the Temple Calendar at Jerusalem.
