Sabbath 24/01/49/120
Dear Friends
We just returned from the eight days of Passover in temporary accommodations as commanded in the Scriptures. For those that are seriously studying, we should be concerned with who we are and where is the One True Church of God. (see No. 171C). We should also be concerned with where the True Church of God is, that keeps the Faith once delivered to the Saints, spoken of by Jude 1:3. It is the True Church of God that will be speaking, teaching, and obeying God’s Law and Testimony. God says through the prophet Isaiah that anyone, and especially a group purporting to be the Church of God, has to speak according to God’s Law and Testimony. Unless they speak according to the Law and the Testimony there is no light in that person (Isa. 8:20). Those are very important questions, and the task is then set for the individual as to what it is and where it is. Christ said that the gates of death would not prevail against the Church, and thus it has to be on the planet alive now, and we must be able to identify it, and join it. There are many simple tests for that Church that should outline on paper from its doctrines. A good place to start is in examining its Statement of Beliefs. Does it express and promote keeping the Faith once delivered to the Saints and does it teach obedience to God’s Law and Testimony?
The Statement of Beliefs of CCG (A1) is a summary of the Biblical position, as held by the Apostles, during the first century. It presents the Bible position in a clear, coherent form. It is comprised of seven chapters covering the Godhead, the Plan of Salvation, Doctrines Concerning Human Responsibility, Doctrines Concerning the Messiah, The Problem of Evil, The Church, and the Kingdom of God. There is an introduction which deals with the question of the divergence between modern and ancient Christianity. When Messiah comes again, he is going to introduce, in total, the system of law that he gave to Moses at Sinai. Every Christian has an obligation to identify, and to implement, the system of living and worship, that is laid down in the Bible. The Christian is obligated to emulate the way of life of Jesus Christ and to live by the systems that Christ introduced and lived by as a man and pre-incarnate. This work is dedicated to producing the whole system in a coherent and identifiable manner so that the false systems of seventeen hundred years can be swept aside and the original and true way can be identified, and implemented in the lives of all people, no matter what they have done in the past. Our task is to call people to repentance and newness of life and prepare them for the Coming of the Messiah ahead. There is also an Appendix which deals with the development of Trinitarian doctrines. It explains:
If you or your church is not doing these things or teaching that they are not required then they are not inspired. Get away from them.
