Today is the second Sabbath of the First Month of the 48^th Year, of the 120^th Jubilee. Today we will study Lost Sheep and the Prodigal Son (No. 199). Yesterday was the Sanctification of the Simple and Erroneous (No. 291) as the Fast of 7 Abib. The purpose of the fast is to sanctify those who sin in error and by mistake due to ignorance of the true Calendar systems or by misleading error in the ministry or the administration.

We were approached by some people in the offshoots trying to convince CCG that the date of the crucifixion or the execution of Christ was on 25 April 31 CE and not 30 CE as we teach. It is important that we address this fiction as it obviously still has currency in the offshoots even today. Many years ago, and over forty years ago from today the WCG decided to advance the fiction that Christ was crucified in 31 CE to adhere to the forgery in the KJV of Daniel 9:25 and identify the Seventy Weeks of Years as ending with Christ. This also required the beginning to be readjusted to Darius I Hystaspes instead of Darius II, the Persian, as it so clearly states in the Commentary on Ezra Parts I and Part II at F015 and F015ii). To accommodate this fiction the WCG had Fred Coulter produce a work that claimed that the Passover that Christ died was on Wednesday 25 April 31 CE and not Wednesday 5 April 30 CE as the Bible so clearly requires. The actual times are clearly laid out in the text Timing of the Crucifixion and the Resurrection (No. 159). The timings in that text clearly indicate the exact dates for the Passover on the entire sequence of years before and after the actual year on which Christ might have been executed. It is clear that only on Wednesday 5 April 30 CE could Christ have been executed and complied with the details of the accounts in the Gospels. In the year 31 CE the 14th of Abib (which was the day on which Christ was executed at 3 PM in the afternoon), fell on Sunday 25 March 31 CE. The 14 Abib fell also on 32 and 33 CE on Saturday 12 April 32 CE and on Thursday 2 April 33 CE. The only year that Christ could have been executed that fell on a Wednesday was on 5 April 30 CE.

The Passover never fell as late as 25 April at any time after David and Solomon and the Early Kings and to suggest it did was wilful misuse of the known dates of the Passover. In WCG it was invented by Fred Coulter and published to accommodate the forgeries in the KJV and the fictions of Herman Hoeh and the Armstrongite ministry. Fred Coulter later repudiated this thesis, and we confirmed that he had repudiated it, with him. For any religious organisation claiming that a Passover was held in 31 CE on 25 April is wilful deceit or blatant ignorance. It also refutes the entire sequence of the Seventy Weeks of Years that occurs in Daniel and under the Sign of Jonah (see The Sign of Jonah and the History of the Reconstruction of the Temple (No. 013)) which is the only Sign given to the Ministry of the Church of God. The ignorance of the WCG system was simply breathtaking. The Trinitarians tried to get a Friday execution in 33 CE by claiming postponements were in effect which was a blatant lie.

The fast helps protect the Simple and the Erroneous from these frauds and misstatements and is part of the Forgiveness sequence of the Lord's Supper on 14 Abib. Keep the Faith.
