Dear Friends,
This is the Feast of Weeks and Pentecost 47th year of the 120th Jubilee. This Feast we will study the papers The Leaven of Pentecost (No. 065) and also The Holy Spirit (No. 117) and the Fruit of the Holy Spirit (No. 146).
The Babylonian Calendar postpones its calendar in 2024 and hence the Jews also postpone their Hillel Calendar and thus the Feast of Pentecost kept by the former WCG Offshoots is a month late this year and they will not keep Pentecost until June 2024, a month later than the Temple Calendar (see No. 156; 156H). The problems we see are a post Temple contrivance rejected continually by the Churches of God over 1900 years until Armstrong and Dugger introduced Hillel into the Sardis era of the Churches of God. Hillel's postponements are examined in the texts of Nos. 195 and 195C. One would think that an organisation professing to follow Christ and the early church would baulk at following a calendar that has its origins in Babylon, and not entering the Churches of God until the 20th century in 1940-1946. One would think they would reject this system in utter shame, but they do not seem intelligent enough to see the absurdity of what they do and claim, nor the extensive and rich history of their own predecessors in the historical Sabbatarian Churches of God. We intend to deal with the history of the Sabbath-keeping churches from Jerusalem and Ephesus to the current days and issue a series of videos on that history. The offshoots in Sardis and Laodicea seem to have no understanding of what that history is, nor the importance and relevance to the Last Days and the Return of the Messiah and the establishment of the Kingdom of God. They do not seem to understand that this ignorance may well cost them not only the First Resurrection (No. 143A) but the lives of their families going into the millennial system (see Nos. 210A and 210B; 141C; 141D; 141E; 141E_2; 141F).
It is fundamental to the Faith that the individual is motivated in the faith by a desire in the Holy Spirit to seek out and follow the Truth (No. 168) of the faith kept by all those who have gone before us. They died for the faith. At least we might study to find out what it was that they kept and died for, in that faith. However, it seems the WCG Offshoots are incapable of raising even a passing interest in why, and for what, our predecessors died. In failing to determine those aspects, they are placing not only their own lives at stake, but also the lives of their spouses and children. Such a cavalier attitude, or indeed cowardice, cannot be rewarded, when others died in its defence, so that we might have the truth of the faith of the saints (Rev. 12:17; 14:12).
Remember that this Feast of Pentecost is a demarcation time in the establishment in the Churches of God and we will be given further direction from this feast as to what is to come before us now.
Keep the Faith and strive to be accounted worthy to take our place among the Saints who went before us in the Churches of God and who kept the Commandment of God and the Testimony of the Christ and the Apostles and Prophets, none of whom condoned, or would have condoned, the keeping of Hillel and the Babylonian system.
Surely these people are not completely bereft of wisdom in the faith that they cannot see, or hear, or understand, what is required of us all.
