New Moon 01/12/37/120

Dear Friends,

This is the New Moon of Adar. In 29 days we begin the New Year with the New Moon of Abib of the 38th year of the 120th Jubilee. 

That day begins the Sanctification of the Temple and we are then committed to 21 days of prayer and service to God.  The eight days of the Feast have to be kept as a festival.  It is an eight day feast and we are not permitted to go back to our jobs. We are required to worship God for the full eight days.

Over the years we have had people come to us from the WCG offshoots and many have tried to get away with not keeping the Feast correctly for the full eight days and have tried to go back to work. One group even tried, with the help of their minister, to book a building for the full 36 hours of the Passover period as required by law and then when it was ascertained that a CCG senior minister would not turn up they would then cancel.  As usually happens, God tore the face off it. They were discovered and we showed them the door. We have had thousands of the WCG system go through our doors and we have had to boot most of them out because they could not be trusted.  The worst groups were in India with the next worst in Africa in Kenya and then in North America.  We have not had a clean run with them anywhere in the world.

The problem seems to be that they have no fear of God.  They were told that they did not have to keep Passover and Unleavened Bread in 1965 and by 1967 they had simply ignored it and the laws of God that require it.  1967 was the period that Jerusalem was reclaimed by Israel and that people began the thirty year period of the mourning for Aaron.  The priesthood in Judah had no access to the Temple Mount nor did they keep God’s Calendar but they kept the Hillel Calendar.  From 1967 the Passover was not kept as a full period in the churches of God and also it was kept according to Hillel.  On almost no year since its inception has WCG and the Offshoots kept the Holy Days correctly and often not in the correct months.

Why do we think that Sardis and Laodicea are not in the First Resurrection?  It is because they do not keep the Calendar and the laws of God correctly.  Last Sabbath we studied the paper The Pillars of Philadelphia (No. 283) and we should understand that background and why those groups are not in the First Resurrection.  Look at the papers regarding understanding the Jubilee cycle and make sure you know where we are and why we do what we do. Study the papers Reading the Law with Ezra and Nehemiah (No. 250); Outline Timetable of the Age (No. 272); The Sign of Jonah and the History of the Reconstruction of the Temple (No.013); and the Role of the Fourth Commandment in the Historical Sabbath-keeping Churches of God (No. 170).

It is time to realise what this period in front of us is all about and what our duties to God really are over the period ahead of us.
Pray for our brethren and those who are sick so they are ready for this period ahead of us.
