Sabbath 8/4/36/120

Dear Friends,

The issue of the Godhead is a most important matter and the theology and the origins behind the confused ideas such as Trinitarianism and Ditheism and Binitarianism are important to understanding the problem. Trinitarianism did not come out of the Bible and it did not just emerge full blown. It is the result of taking a pagan doctrine of the theology of the god Attis which came from the Middle East and emerges as a violent doctrine in Rome and then developing that doctrine with its attendant Easter festival which came from the worship of the goddess Easter or Ishtar or Astarte, the consort of Baal or Adonis or Osiris or Attis and Mithras the invincible Sun god and also called the mother goddess Cybele again associated with Attis. The development of the doctrines of Christmas and Easter that emerged from the Sun cults is explained in the paper The Origins of Christmas and Easter (No. 235).

There was also a heresy that emerged in the Middle East which was called by ancient Judaism the Dual Power Heresy. It emerged as an explanation of the origin of Good and Evil but was corrupted again into a form of Ditheism in Judaism and attributed to Christianity in the Twentieth century by errors in the churches of God. WCG was the source of this error and the breakdown of the churches of God was accomplished by Trinitarian plants within the churches of God including WCG and COG (SD) where they began by asserting Binitarianism.

Ditheism states that there were two coeternal Gods. Binitarianism states that God created himself as his son from himself. As stated above it comes from the Doctrine of the worship of the god Attis especially in Rome. WCG was Ditheist and did not become Binitarian until just before Trinitarianism was declared ca 1993. The doctrines of each can be viewed in the papers Ditheism (No. 076b).

The basis of Binitarianism and Trinitarianism is explained in the paper Binitarianism and Trinitarianism (No. 076). This paper deals with the logical basis of both Binitarianism and Trinitarianism. The origins of Binitarianism are explained in the paper Origins of Radical Unitarianism and Binitarianism (No. 076C).

Many purporting Christians seek to explain the nature of God in terms of Radical Unitarianism or Binitarianism not realising that the doctrines they claim are in fact the doctrines of pagan gods and have been used to destroy the church set up by Jesus Christ. Their influence on Christianity is explained in the paper Binitarian and Trinitarian Misuse of the Early Theology of the Godhead (No. 127b)

Some Binitarian and Trinitarian advocates misuse the early writings of the Church to assert that the Early Church was Binitarian or Trinitarian. Such views are known and admitted to be incorrect by responsible academics yet these advocates persist with the fabrication.

Other Ditheist misuse of the KJV is dealt with in many examples such as Micah 5:2-3 (No. 121). This paper on the text also deals with Dual power heresy.

Another example is Isaiah 9:6 Isaiah 9:6 (No. 224).

Isaiah 9:6 is often used in support of Trinitarian or Binitarian/Ditheist theology. This paper examines its use and understanding in the various translations both ancient and modern. It is important for the Church of God to understand and prevent the misuse of these texts and explain the flaws in the KJV.

The critical move in early Christianity was to forge a gap between Christ and the rest of the elohim and label them as "Angels" as a class, and ignore or deny their status as sons of God as elohim. This was done from 175 CE when the devotees of Attis were admitted to the church and took over with the sun and mystery cults through to the declaration of the Trinity in Constantinople in 381 CE and at Chalcedon in 451 CE. Binitarianism is the doctrine of Attis essential as the first step to the doctrine of the Trinity. To get there they have to insist Christ is distinct from the other elohim which is false doctrine.

The texts are used to assert this false doctrine. It is asserted that “angels” do not worship each other but they do worship Christ.  Note the class “angels” is created distinct from elohim as sons of God which they are specifically called:

Hebrews 1:6 And again, when God brings his firstborn into the world, he says, "Let all God's angels worship him."

Philippians 2:10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth.

Colossians 1:20 Through the Son, God also reconciled all things to himself, whether things on earth or things in heaven, thereby making peace through the blood of his stake (stauros).

So as to defend against the charge of coeternal and coequal  Ditheism or the Binitarianism of Attis it is alleged that there must be a difference between the angels and the firstborn, after he was glorified.

It is sometimes asserted that Christ is distinct from the rest of the angels in only one regard: He has been first finished and the angels have not yet been finished, just as humans are not yet finished. Since Christ attained something higher, the angels worship him, according to Scripture.
Everything allegedly has to do with one thing: That is how God is recreating Himself in His created beings. And it is asserted that He made Christ as a prototype and hence he is “worshipped” by the other elohim. This assertion is false. The problem lies in the translation of the Koine Greek words of the NT (and also the OT Hebrew and Chaldean) and the values attributed to them.

Respect or homage for those acting under delegation is not worship. This may be symbolised by kneeling or prostrating oneself (the act of prostration (proskuneo)) before Christ and the elect. Such action is an act of subservience, but is not of itself worship, as it is translated in Hebrews 1:6 and Revelation 3:9. We are to worship God the Father only (Lk. 4:8; Jn. 4:21-24; Phil. 3:3; Rev. 22:9). Monogenes theos, prototokos, gennao, arche, these Greek words have to be clear in our mind when they are used about Christ.

The word proskuneo is used of the act of prostration in acknowledging power. God will make those who say they are Jews but are not but who lie worship those of the Philadelphian church in Rev. chapter 3. The word is the same as that used of Christ and means simply to prostrate themselves in obeisance.

The "new creation" regarding Christ is that he is the only human being for the moment who became a spiritual being. Like Paul said Christ is the last Adam who became a pneuma zoopoieo. It seems then that the spiritual beings are pneuma zoopoieo. What is a pneuma zoopoieo? It seems that is what the sons of God in heaven are. Christ was in the form [morphe] of God [i.e. elohim] (Phil. 2:6). All the elohim are in the morphe of God and were and are elohim composed of Spirit. The loyal Host are all elohim and were perfect from their creation by God. The entire heavenly Host, including the fallen Host, is reconciled to God through the sacrifice and qualification of Christ and so also is mankind.

It is important that we understand the churches of God have been led astray by false teachers from the middle of the Twenty-first century and they have become deluded heretics teaching the doctrines of demons thinking they serve God. They do not serve God and mislead the brethren who do not know enough to refute them. You must be able to demonstrate exactly when this false doctrine of Binitarianism came into the churches of God and when Ditheism was used also. Binitarianism, Ditheism and the Trinitarian false doctrines are all heresy and the original Church was Biblical Unitarian from the First century. These doctrines existed only in the false religions of the demons and Radical Unitarianism which denies the pre-existence of Christ emerged from the Reformation period (see also the paper The Pre-existence of Jesus Christ (No. 243)). Study and defend the faith once delivered.
