Sabbath 11/7/33/120

Dear Friends,

We are off to the Feast and we are looking forward to an exciting time. This Feast we will need to take up the task of preparing our choirs and programs for the Reading of the Law in 2012. We are growing at such a rate that we will have massive feast sites in many nations. We are now faced with the task of preparing for it.

This Feast we will be preparing the schedule of special music with our special music singers. From the Feast at Tulsa the special music programs will be set out and recorded. We will be looking at songs like The Lord’s Prayer, How Great Thou Art, I Vow to Thee My Country, Jerusalem, The Hebrew Slave Song and many others. The ones we already have on the web such as the CCG version of El Shaddai and On Eagles Wings and Thy Word will also be used.

All nations and districts are to prepare local choirs this Feast for the selection of the national choirs at selected sites in 2010. Our aim is to select the best singers in CCG to participate in the massed choir in 2012 in Africa which is where the Reading of the Law will be held. Each nation will have a Reading of the Law in their own areas as well as sending their national representatives and the very best singers they have for the combined CCG choir. The National Choirs themselves are not to be depleted.

We also wish the best drummers in each nation to be selected and sent to the Reading of the Law with the best trumpeter and blowers of the shofar. It is our intention to record videos and DVDs of the entire hymnal and the special music with the CCG World Conference Choir comprising of our best singers and also using various national songs.

We intend to fill the World Conference venue with tens of thousands of people who will also participate with a massed choir in special music and the entire audience will be videoed and recorded to harness the full effect of massed voices. Music like the hymn “God’s Speaks to Us” will use tribal drums before the trumpets with special arrangements and the massed choir interfacing with the audience as the choir masters and music directors arrange them. Some singers will be selected as soloists with backups and as select groups with backups. There will be a special choir uniform that will be designed in Silver/White and Blue as per CCG colours. We will have our tailoring schools of Uganda make them over the next year. Designs are invited from the National groups. The shofars will be used from the walls and podiums of the stadiums sent out over the loudspeakers every day.

The Reading of the Law is an extensive effort and we will break the Reading at strategic points to give musical renditions of appropriate hymns. The full eight days will be taken up with various aspects. The Reading will finish by the last day of Tabernacles as usual and the Last Great Day will be spent on two services and massed displays.

Each Nation will plan their own displays and their contribution for those that attend the World Conference site.  We will place out the special music and the program and the nations can work around those and select their few best representatives to go to the World Conference.

Nations are to begin saving now for the costs. Individuals wishing to attend will be responsible for their own costs. National reps will be paid for by their own nations.

Preparation is to begin by using the CCG hymnal in English and French and Kiswahili.

Music Directors are to begin the Kiswahili Hymnal this Feast.

We are now preparing for not only the greatest Feast ever held in the history of the Church of God, but also the Third and greatest Reading of the Law and the greatest ever held since the Temple was destroyed. This will be the First Reading of the Law of God held in Africa since the Abyssinian Church existed and probably the greatest in 2000 years because it will be spread over Africa in its entirety.

All of our people should feel a sense of anticipation and excitement and look forward to this great event and plan for it with care and enthusiasm.

Certainly it will be the greatest spectacle the Churches of God have ever held.

Pray for our protection and inspiration and preparation.

May God Bless us in this mighty endeavour.
