Dear Friends,

Let there be no doubt, our beloved nation, the United States, is in very serious and immediate danger.  We are living in very perilous times.

As a nation, we moan the seriousness of the untold harm to the environment due to the deep water Gulf oil fracture and flow of oil into the Gulf.  And, as we are facing economic collapse due to the massive debt and corruption in all aspects of the financial world, we continue to be engaged in military conflict in Iraq and Afghanistan for a very dubious purpose.

If these troubling signs are not enough to drive us to our knees, there is yet another inconceivable perilous condition taking place right under our national nose which one would have to be in some sort of twilight zone to not recognize that it is a clear and present danger to our nation.

The federal government has now closed off to Americans a Federal Park in southern Arizona that borders Mexico because paramilitary drug running gangs and human traffickers are in control of the border and the Park itself.  This Park in Arizona is called the Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge.  It extends from the Mexican border and goes as far north as 80 miles up to and including Tucson.  Our Federal government has abrogated its responsibility to do anything except to suggest to the local Sheriff to put up warning signs for Americans to stay out.  The signs warn that it is not safe to enter the wildlife refuge because of the danger of extreme violent conditions within the Park.  The Feds have refused to guard our border and sovereignty.  It has even stopped construction on the fence.  You can witness this insanity of inaction by the federal politicians in a 3 minute video at:  http://www.ireport.com/docs/DOC-460667

The Sheriff, in this video, states that violence inside the Wildlife Refuge is beyond his resources to control. He, as well as Senator John McCain, has requested assistance for federal troops to intervene and rid the Refuge of the foreign invaders and to control our border.  Apparently the requests have fallen on Washington’s deaf ears since no action has been taken to date by the Feds.

The question that begs an answer is why do we not control who enters our border like our neighbors, Canada and Mexico, control who enters their borders?  Why is it that we allow the southern portion of the state of Arizona (including Texas, New Mexico, and California) to be invaded and taken over by foreign paramilitary drug thugs while we engage our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan?  We have the strongest military might on earth, and yet we do not protect our own border.  It is very strange indeed.  Homeland Security has published reports showing that some of the illegal human traffic comes from countries on terrorist watch list,   such as Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Egypt, Lebanon, Sudan, and including the terror group Hezbollah.  What is going on here?

A report on worldnetdaily.com quotes Arizona Senator Jon Kyl as saying, “They’re coming from all over.”  He further states in this report, “There’s a procedure which takes place, where, in effect, if we can’t send them back (because many countries lack any diplomatic mechanism for repatriating a detainee), they’re let go. Obviously that creates an illegal immigration problem, but it could….create a problem of terrorism as well.”

The origin of “Downfall of Democracies” is often attributed to Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor who lived in the 1700s, and while it may be attributed to him, or even Arnold Toynbee, or Lord Thomas Macaulay, whoever can lay claim to the study of democracies had interesting conclusions. This is what is said about democracy in general, “A democracy is always temporary in nature: it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority will always vote for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, and always followed by a military dictatorship.”
The professor reportedly went on to say: “The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:

  1. From bondage to spiritual faith;
  2. From spiritual faith to great courage;
  3. From courage to liberty;
  4. From liberty to abundance;
  5. From abundance to complacency;
  6. From complacency to apathy;
  7. From apathy to dependence;
  8. From dependency back into bondage.”

Whether it is a historical fact or not, the above sequence appears to be insightfully legitimate and a troubling concept which is becoming closer to reality for us as a nation.

A brother of the faith told me that his mother would often quote to him 2Chronicles 7:14:

14 if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. (RSV)

We, as a nation, need to be driven to our knees before the Almighty God Eloah and repent from breaking His Laws.  Some believe that the solution to our national problems is to replace the current politicians in Washington with politicians from the opposing party.  This is not the solution by any means as one political party seems to be a mere extension of the other, while appearing to offer a better solution to the nation’s problems.

Pray for our nation’s repentance, and for our leaders to repent of their dereliction of duty to the oath they took to uphold the Constitution of our great nation.
