Sabbath 21/7/31/120

Dear Friends,

This is the Sabbath and the last day of the Feast of Tabernacles. Tomorrow is the Last Great Day which is a feast in its own right.

On the Friday of the week before the Feast 12 September 2008 the festival Floriade was opened in Canberra in the Australian Capital Territory. Each year for many years the city plants millions and millions of bulbs and flowers to bloom in the spring season. Each year the start date is different as the blooms vary from year to year. I have very rarely been able to visit the festival as it always coincides with the Ancient Temple Calendar Feast of Tabernacles. In other words the festival is always in the true seventh month of the Sacred Year.

Each year we set off for the feast and the festival commences. It ends a couple of weeks after the feast ends at the end of the Seventh Month and in the first week of the Eight Month. Because I am overseas and do not return always immediately the main period is finished. Sometimes I am back early enough to visit it. This year I will be in the area and we will go and see it in full bloom.

If you are keeping the Hillel Calendar like the Jews and the Armstrongites you can attend the festival as your feast will be after the festival closes and the blooms are all finished.

One would think that this very fact would mean something to anyone interested in the Temple Calendar and the link it has with the seasons and feasts. The Seventh Month is associated also with the turn of the year and the equinox falls in the First and Seventh Months. However, this year, the equinox falls in the sixth month of the Hillel Calendar which makes it incorrect and should show to the casual observer that the Hillel Calendar is actually keeping its feasts in the Second and Eighth Months and not the First and Seventh as God demands.

This is due to the Babylonian Postponements and not the Temple Calendar.

God has His way of telling us when things are correct. If we diligently seek him with all our hearts He will never leave us or forsake us and he will give us the understanding we need to do His work.

May God bless us all and give us a safe return form the feast.
