Sabbath Message 28/02/31/120

Dear Friends,

In the Sabbath message of 29/01/31/120 we "focus on neglect of the ministry of WCOG to either understand or relate the importance of the calculation for Easter observance, and the method of the calculation’s relevance to the Temple calendar in existence during the Messiah’s ministry. The WCOG ministry either missed or ignored or did not fully grasp the importance of the resolution by the Nicean Council in determining when to observe Easter."

http://www.logon.org/_domain/ccg.org/Sabbath/2008/S_04_05_08.htm

In today’s Sabbath message we will look at a question that was posed to a WCOG minister who provided no valid answer as to why WCOG kept the Passover one month late this year, 2008, and its Calendar change. This is not surprising. When the attendees in WCOG's worship services ask such questions, they generally receive no valid answer.

One of our national ministers dealt with and pointed out the change and error in the Worship Calendar of WCG (or WCOG) back in 2005 and he thought then that this would be over. This year, 2008, when Pentecost is approaching (the biblically- and the Temple-based Calendar Pentecost for 2008 is on 11th May), he again has to deal with the people or attendees coming in from WCOG because they had no idea why their Calendar had been changed. Consequently, they kept an alleged Passover on 19th April 2008 that was one month late.

On Monday, November 28, 2005 at 4:23 p.m., our people wrote and pointed out the glaringly obvious Catholic-based WCOG (or WCG) Annual Worship Calendar which site was recorded at WCOG site at www.wcg.org/lit/church/holidays/2003.htm, listed and documented it below, but this site is no longer working for obvious reasons:

In the above WCG Annual Worship Calendar as published on their site in the year 2005, WCG had Catholic festivals such as Maundy, Easter and Christmas etc. However, in that published Calendar of WCG, they have got the Pentecost date for year 2008 listed down correctly on 11 May 2008.

Today, if one were to look at their Calendar one would note that they have changed further to maintain their inconsistency (and for the purpose of this analogy, we will consider WCG Klang, Malaysia). They have changed from the correct Pentecost date on 11 May 2008 to an incorrect date on 1st June 2008.

wcg-klang.net lists their Lord's Supper and Pentecost on the incorrect dates on April 19th, Saturday (Lord's Supper) and June 1st, Sunday (Pentecost). They stated in their website that their Lord's Supper was on 19th April 2008 which was obviously wrong. 19 April 2008  (one month or new moon too late) is the corrupted date from the Rabbinical Hillel Calendar as explained in our Sabbath Message of 29/01/31/120  http://www.logon.org/_domain/ccg.org/Sabbath/2008/S_04_05_08.htm

Since they got the Passover wrong for 2008, WCG would also naturally get the wrong date for Pentecost, which is on Omer count for 50 days from Wave Sheaf, but WCOG has not understood or practised the Sacred Holy Calendar of God.

Try counting 50 days from their wrong date on 19th April 2008 and you would arrive at 7th June 2008. Even if you were to count 50 days from their Sunday, 20th April 2008, you would arrive at 8th June 2008. But in WCG Klang's Service/Calendar, they state their Pentecost is on 1st June 2008. That date is just 44 days from the Wave Sheaf in Passover/Unleavened Bread. Even the Roman Catholics did not make that mistake.

Although WCG Klang labelled 19th April 2008 as the Lord's Supper, there was no mention even of the word Passover in their Service Calendar.

What confusion WCG Klang has fallen into – just look at their Service Calendar above at their site http://www.wcg-klang.net

The correct biblical position for God's ordained Feasts of the Lord as per His Holy Sacred Calendar given to the human race as preached by the prophets and Apostles and the anointed Church of God are as follows:

The actual and true biblical – i.e. God's ordained – Passover is on 15th day of Nisan, which was Saturday, 22 March 2008 (observed the previous evening), and the Wave Sheaf was on Sunday, 23 March 2008. The Lord’s Super is the beginning of 14 Nisan and the death of Christ was on the afternoon of 14 Nisan or Abib at 3 p.m.

For the true biblical Pentecost, the Scriptures say we are to count 50 days from the Wave-Sheaf (which was held on Sunday, 23rd March 2008). Count seven perfect Sabbaths and you will arrive at the correct/true and biblical Pentecost, which is on Sunday, 11 May 2008.

Sunday 23rd March 2008 to 31/3/2008 =  9 days

1st April 2008 to 30/4/2008                    = 30 days

1st May 2008 to 11/5/2008                    = 11 days

                                                         ------------------

                                                                   50 days

                                                         ------------------

Leviticus 23:15:  And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the Sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven Sabbaths shall be complete.

Not only do they have their Lord's Supper mixed up with the Passover, but they also do not even understand the significance and need for the sanctification for the Simple and Erroneous (see the papers Sanctification of the Temple of God (No. 241) and Sanctification of the Simple and Erroneous (No. 291)). Neither do WCG appear keep the Wave-Sheaf – they don't have the understanding at all now and that is why WCG ministers are keeping their own invented Pentecost on 1st June 2008, which is just 44 days from their self-perceived and self-invented Lord's Supper on the incorrect dates on April 19th, Saturday (Lord's Supper and 14 Abib) and June 1st Sunday (Pentecost) as evidenced in their WCG Klang website. When you lose your understanding of the Law of God you really lose it.

The true original Passover kept by the prophets of God, Jesus and his disciples and us here at CCG is on the following dates for the year 2008:

****

****

Friday 21 March

(Evening of previous day)

14 Nisan            Lord's Supper

****

****

Saturday 22 March

(Evening of previous day)

15 Nisan         Passover/NTBMR

WCOG has failed to understand the significance of the correct God-ordained Passover season which starts from sanctification for the simple and ignorant and is followed by the Passover proper, with observation on the Lord's Supper on 14th Nisan/Abib, which was on Friday 21st March 2008 and the Passover was on 15th Nisan – i.e. on 22nd March 2008 (observed the previous evening).

"The Seventh of Abib is the day set aside for prayer and fasting in obedience to God's command to "sanctify a fast" (Joel 1:14; 2:12-17). All baptised members are required to participate in this fast. The paper Sanctification of the Simple and Erroneous (No. 291) should be studied. The fast begins on 13 March at dark and ends on 14 March at dark, and mirrors the fast on the Day of Atonement in the Seventh month (Lev. 23:27-31). On this day we go before our Father to appeal for the simple or ignorant among our people who have not known God’s ways and cannot sanctify themselves (Ezek. 45:18-20; Mk. 11:1; Heb. 5:2). Sanctification in the Church is the process of becoming consecrated to God by prayer and fasting in the study of His word. Scripture enjoins us "to loose the bonds of wickedness, undo the heavy burdens, and let the oppressed go free, and to break every yoke" (Isa. 58:6-12), so that our people may be reconciled to our God and Father."

http://www.logon.org/english/s/a_p2008.html

Wave-Sheaf: "Although not a Sabbath in its own right, the Wave Sheaf must be held at the time of the morning sacrifice (9.00 a.m.) on Sunday 23 March (2008). The Wave Sheaf symbolises Christ as the first of the first-fruits being offered to God (Ex. 34:26; 1Cor. 15:23; Lev. 23:9-14; Ex. 29:24-25). The male lamb was also Christ as a first-fruits ascending into Heaven to his Father. See the paper The Wave Sheaf Offering (No. 106b). This day always falls on the first day of the week (Sunday) within the Feast of Unleavened Bread and is used to start the count for the fifty days to Pentecost, which will be held on Sunday, 11 May 2008. The Omer Count to Pentecost (No. 173) paper should be studied."

Wave Sheaf commences the count to Pentecost:

Leviticus 23:9-14  And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 10 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest: 11 And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it.12 And ye shall offer that day when ye wave the sheaf an he lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering unto the LORD.13 And the meat offering thereof shall be two tenth deals of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire unto the LORD for a sweet savour: and the drink offering thereof shall be of wine, the fourth part of an hin. 14 And ye shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor green ears, until the selfsame day that ye have brought an offering unto your God: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

 http://www.logon.org/english/s/p049.html

Thus, from the Passover preparation, we begin the journey of Seven Perfect Sabbaths, which is the structure of completion and perfection until we receive the Holy Spirit in power at Pentecost. Only by keeping the Wave-Sheaf Offering during the Feast of Unleavened Bread can we commence the journey in obedience.

Pentecost Count:

Leviticus 23:15-22  And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete: 16 Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD. 17 Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals: they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baken with leaven; they are the firstfruits unto the LORD. 18 And ye shall offer with the bread seven lambs without blemish of the first year, and one young bullock, and two rams: they shall be for a burnt offering unto the LORD, with their meat offering, and their drink offerings, even an offering made by fire, of sweet savour unto the LORD. 19 Then ye shall sacrifice one kid of the goats for a sin offering, and two lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace offerings.20 And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the firstfruits for a wave offering before the LORD with the two lambs: they shall be holy to the LORD for the priest. 21 And ye shall proclaim on the selfsame day, that it may be an holy convocation unto you: ye shall do no servile work therein: it shall be a statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations. 22 And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not make clean riddance of the corners.

The Omer Count begins from the Sunday within the Feast of Unleavened Bread and ends with Pentecost or the Feast of Weeks on the 49th and 50th days, being the Sabbath and the Sunday respectively as a two-day system. This has always been the system, and is still the system within most of the Churches of God, even those who erroneously follow the Hillel calendar in other respects. http://www.logon.org/english/s/P173.html

WCOG’s Paul Kroll says this about their Worship Calendar at http://www.wcg.org/lit/church/holidays/maundy.htm

Quote: "The calendar or weekly bulletin published by your local congregation might have said the following for Thursday, April 8, 2004: Maundy Thursday: This evening we will have a Communion service with optional footwashing … Many Christians do not know that Easter, in addition to being a day, is also a memorial season of 50 days, culminating in the Christian Pentecost, when Jesus sent the Holy Spirit and the church began." Unquote

So WCOG goes on to argue:

Quote: "The annual worship calendar of the Worldwide Church of God allows for flexibility. Congregations are free to gather for worship during those seasons and days that are most fitting for their circumstances and situations.

The key is, they are functioning within denominational guidelines (that means there are limitations), and they are not compelled to make the same choices as other Worldwide Church of God congregations (that means there is significant freedom within those limitations). At the same time, congregations are expected to respect the choices made by other congregations" http://www.wcg.org/lit/church/holidays/liturgy.htm

WCOG ministry also explains its calendar position in 1998 as follows:

Quote: "Our liturgical calendar: These factors and others like them make the liturgical calendar a hot topic indeed. There is no solution that will please everyone. … the calendar provides flexibility within an overall biblical framework. Congregations will be free to formulate their own local liturgical calendar within this denominational framework, taking into account the needs and preferences of all the members.” Unquote

Why did WCG Klang change their 2008 Pentecost from the correct date on 11th May 2008 (as was originally stated in their WCG Worship Annual Calendar issued in 2005 as documented above) to an incorrect date on 1st June 2008?

The reason is simple. They have chosen to dismantle the Law of God and as a result of that deliberate action, inconsistency is the result. The consequence of such rebellion against God’s Law is stated clearly by the prophet Isaiah: Those who speak NOT in accordance with the Law and the Testimony have no light in them (Isa. 8:20).

God also gives the warning here in Hosea 4:6-7: "my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also REJECT YOU AS MY PRIESTS; BECAUSE you have IGNORED THE LAW of GOD, I also will ignore your children."

The Scripture is clear in Psalm 19:7, which says the Law of God is perfect CONVERTING the soul. How can true conversion be there when they do away with God's Laws as per the text in Psalm 19:7?

In Malachi 3:6, God Himself declares He is not like the weather. He states as a matter of fact and truth His nature: "For I am the Lord, I change not."

James, the brother of Jesus Christ, describes God as: "… the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning" (Jas. 1:17).

Hebrews 13:8 declares God’s anointed Son as “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever”, because he bears witness to the Father Eloah and is in the image of his Father and our Father and his God and our God.

Through the anointed prophets God specifically condemns hot cross buns used in conjunction with ancient Easter worship:

"Do you not see what they do in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem? The children gather wood, the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead dough, to make cakes for the queen of heaven; and they pour out drink offerings to other gods, that they may provoke Me to anger. Do they provoke Me to anger?" says the LORD. "Do they not provoke themselves, to the shame of their own faces?""(Jer. 7:17-19)

WCG has added Maundy, Easter and Christmas into their worship calendar. But the Catholic Encyclopedia, 11th ed., art. "Natal Day” states this: “In the Scriptures, no one is recorded to have kept a feast or held a great banquet on his [Christ's] birthday. It is only sinners [like Pharaoh or Herod] who make great rejoicings over the day in which they were born into this world." It is a pagan practice.

“The Doctor Thomas Aquinas O.P (CE 1274) used this incident as an indication that all superiors are to be disobeyed should their commands be against the Will of God. “It is written: ‘We ought to obey God rather than men.’ Now sometimes the things commanded by a superior are against God. Therefore, superiors are not to be obeyed in all things.” (Summa Theologiae, IIa IIae, Q. 104, A. 5) http://www.romancatholicism.org/duty-resist.htm

The Nelson Study Bible on Jeremiah 7:18 (footnote on page 1238) identifies the "cakes for the queen of heaven" are for Ishtar, the religious use of decorated trees (Jer. 10:2-4), and eastern sunrise worship (Ezek. 8:15-16).  The queen of heaven refers to the goddess ‘Ishtar’ (Astarte), who was worshiped in open-air cultic centres throughout the eastern Mediterranean region and Mesopotamia.

In The Two Babylons, Chapter III, Section II, ‘Easter’, Alexander Hislop states that Easter is nothing else than Astarte, one of the titles of Beltis, the queen of heaven (Jer. 7:18), whose name, as pronounced by the people of Nineveh, was evidently identical with the Anglo Saxon form Easter.

The name Easter is an Anglo-Saxon name of Chaldean origin; it is a form of Astarte. Her name as pronounced by the people of Nineveh was almost identical in form with that now in common use among English speakers. That name, as found by Layard on the Assyrian monuments, is Ishtar (the goddess of love and fertility). The worship of Bel and Astarte was introduced early into Britain, along with the Druids, "the priests of the groves”. The name Bel in the Gaelic meant Lord and was the equivalent of Baal, and Astarte was his consort.

When the religious leaders of Jesus' day said there were different ways to honour God regarding one of the Commandments, Jesus corrected them and stated very clearly:

"... you have made the commandment of God of no effect by your tradition. Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophecy about you, saying: 'These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honour me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. And in vain do they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men (Mat. 15:6-9).

The true elect of God would want to examine and guard everything they say, because Jesus Christ, our Master, Captain of the Army of the heavenly Host and the Captain of our salvation, says to us in Matthew 12:36-37: "But I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgement.  For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned."

Joseph Tkach Senior of WCG gave a speech in Atlanta, on December 17th, 1994, the real intention of which was to do away with God's Law. His Atlanta speech is recorded here as a witness against those who did away with the Law of God. The speech is available at WCG's own website here:

The New Covenant and the Sabbath

In a sermon given by Joseph W. Tkach Sr. in Atlanta, Georgia, December 17, 1994, He said: “… The old covenant gave us condemnation; the new covenant gives us ...” www.wcg.org/lit/law/newcovsabb.htm

Well, just what did it give us?

Joseph Tkach Snr. died on September 23, 1995. Joseph Tkach was condemned. He died 40 weeks to the day and hour (adjusted for the time difference in the US) from the time he gave the sermon doing away with the Law. That is the period of repentance. He did not repent and God killed him, and very painfully.

What did Tkach and the WCG ministry get wrong?

Firstly, they saw three covenants, not just one. These were the covenants of Abraham, Moses and Christ. The so-called Old Testament or Covenant was replaced, so Tkach said. The problem was Tkach and his son and their ministry did not understand what Christ and the Apostles and the prophets were saying to us. In that same sermon concerning the New Covenant Joseph Tkach says:

“The first thing we note about the new covenant is that it was prophesied in the Old Testament. But let's look first at what Hebrews 8:5-6 says about the relationship between the old and the new covenants:

They [the priests] serve at a sanctuary that is a copy and shadow of what is in heaven. This is why Moses was warned when he was about to build the tabernacle: ‘See to it that you make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.’

But the ministry Jesus has received is as superior to theirs as the covenant of which he is mediator is superior to the old one, and it is founded on better promises.

We see several things in these two verses: First, Jesus has a better ministry than the Levites had. Jesus is a more effective High Priest — he is actually in the heavenly throne room, not an earthly copy.

Second, the new covenant that Jesus brought is superior to the old covenant. It is better, and it has better promises. It gives us a better inheritance.

Let's keep reading in verses Hebrews 7-8: "For if there had been nothing wrong with that first covenant, no place would have been sought for another. But God found fault with the people."

So here we see that there was something wrong with the old covenant. The problem was that the people couldn't do what they said they would do. They couldn't obey the law. As we are told earlier in Hebrews, they didn't have faith. Their minds were spiritually dull; they did not understand. They didn't have the heart to obey — and God knew it from the very start. Therefore, another covenant was needed, and that is exactly what the prophets predicted. And here in Hebrews 8, a section of Jeremiah is quoted. Let's continue reading in verse 8:

God found fault with the people and said: "The time is coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah. It will not be like the covenant I made with their forefathers when I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt, because they did not remain faithful to my covenant, and I turned away from them, declares the Lord.

So the new covenant is prophesied to be different than the old. How much different? Let's continue reading in verse 10, still quoting from Jeremiah 31:

This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying, "Know the Lord," because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest.

Each person will have his or her own relationship with God, Jeremiah predicted. Each person will want to obey God not because of some list of rules written down somewhere, but because he or she has an obedient attitude — a circumcised heart, God calls it. The laws will be internalized. People will keep the spirit of the law. They will be in allegiance with God, no longer in rebellion against him [emphasis added].

And not only that, the ritualistic sacrifices of the old covenant will no longer be needed. God will forgive his people without need for sacrifices. We see that in verse 12: "For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more."

And verse 13 plainly tells us that the old covenant is obsolete, or, as Mr. Armstrong wrote, it is ended: "By calling this covenant `new,' he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and aging will soon disappear." The old covenant, as a package of laws regulating a relationship between God and his people, is obsolete. Of course, not every law in the old covenant is done away — many of those laws are repeated in the New Testament, but the old covenant itself, as a package, is obsolete.

You see, the fault of the old covenant was in the people, and the blood of bulls and goats could not change their hearts. It could not cleanse a guilty conscience. That's why they had to keep sacrificing animals year after year. They were never done. They could never do enough.”

So there is the error for all to see. Without the Holy Spirit man could not keep the Law. God said He would write the Law in the hearts of everyone and no man would need to teach his brother. They would be taught by the Spirit of God. The Spirit would write God’s Laws in their hearts and they would understand and keep the Law through the Spirit of God in obedience.

The test of the servants of God is that they keep the Law in perfect obedience and do not make up other rules and systems of worship. They were all placed under their High Priest, who is a High Priest of a better order, the Order of Melchisedek. Their sins would be forgiven as we see, and they would have a better relationship in the exercise of the Covenant of God. Their fathers failed and could not keep the Law and sinned.

What is sin? Sin is transgression of the Law (1Jn. 3:4). John was clear in his writing on this matter.

1John 2:1-12

[1] My little children, I am writing this to you so that you may not sin; but if any one does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous; [2] and he is the expiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. [3] And by this we may be sure that we know him, if we keep his commandments. [4] He who says "I know him" but disobeys his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him; [5] but whoever keeps his word, in him truly love for God is perfected. By this we may be sure that we are in him: [6] he who says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked. [7] Beloved, I am writing you no new commandment, but an old commandment which you had from the beginning; the old commandment is the word which you have heard. [8] Yet I am writing you a new commandment, which is true in him and in you, because the darkness is passing away and the true light is already shining. [9] He who says he is in the light and hates his brother is in the darkness still. [10] He who loves his brother abides in the light, and in it there is no cause for stumbling. [11] But he who hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes. [12] I am writing to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven for his sake.

So, is John giving us a new commandment to the exclusion of the Commandments of God? Impossible. The clear wording of the texts says that we are sure we know God if we keep His Commandments. Anyone who says he knows God and does not keep His Commandments is a liar and the truth is not in him. Whoever keeps the word of God, truly love for God is perfected in him. For anyone that sins we have an advocate with the Father. That advocate is Jesus Christ. The Second Great Commandment forms the basis of the recognition of the elect.

The Laws of God do not change. We are given a helper to assist us to keep the Laws of God and be free from sin, which is transgression of the Law. We do not need sacrifice, as we are saved by Christ through obedience in the Holy Spirit.

These people who seek to change the Laws of God are mentioned in Proverbs.

Proverbs 24:21-22 states "My son, fear you the LORD and the king: and meddle not with them that are given to change: For their calamity shall rise suddenly; and who knows the ruin of them both?" (KJV). http://bibletools.org/index.cfm/fuseaction/Bible.show/sVerseID/17101/eVerseID/17102

Proverbs 24:21  My son, fear thou Jehovah and the king; `And' company not with them that are given to change: 24:22  For their calamity shall rise suddenly; And the destruction from them both, who knoweth it? (ASV)

Proverbs 24:21   Fear Jehovah, my son, and the king, With changers mix not up thyself, 24:22   For suddenly doth their calamity rise, And the ruin of them both -- who knoweth! (Young's Literal Translation)

Note the Commentary from

http://bibletools.org//index.cfm/fuseaction/Bible.show/sVerseID/17101/eVerseID/17102/version/YLT

This is an overall principle: "Do not rebel! Do not associate with revolutionaries. Have respect for God. Have respect for the authority that He has constituted to rule over the land—the king!" The warning can be taken two ways. One, when one rebels, the ruler and the rebel are ruined: "who knows the ruin those two can bring?" Two, the rebel may be ruined by the both of them. God wants us to realize that there is no real liberty in rebellion.

The admonition is that we should be concerned about anybody who wants to change things in regard to our relationship with God and the king. It says in the margin that we are not to associate with these people.

The admonition given here is that we are to Fear God and keep His Commandments:
Ecclesiastes 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

Ecclesiastes 12:14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

“But Peter and the apostles answering, said: We ought to obey God, rather than men.” (Acts 5:29). It is clear when there is a conflict between the will of a religious superior and God, we are to obey God.

Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place. Trust you not in lying words, saying, The temple of the LORD, The temple of the LORD, The temple of the LORD, are these. For if you thoroughly amend your ways and your doings: if you thoroughly execute judgment between a man and his neighbour; If you oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your hurt: Then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, for ever and ever. Behold, you trust in lying words that cannot profit. Will you steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom you know not? (Jeremiah 7:3-9 )

Ephesians 4:14 says, "That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive."

Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure. (Isaiah 46:10 )

Pentecost is approaching and is on the two days of Sabbath, 6 Sivan and Pentecost, 7 Sivan or 11th May 2008. Will you be gathered together to worship God in the spirit of truth in accordance with God’s Commandments or will you alter it to fit into the preferences of man to your own peril and destruction eventually?

When the original disciples were gathered together, as Luke records, "WHEN THE DAY OF PENTECOST WAS FULLY COME, they were all WITH ONE ACCORD in one place" (Acts 2:1).  They had the right time – the right day! Had they been late, they would have missed the receiving of the Holy Spirit.
What took place that day?  "And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.  And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.  And THEY WERE ALL FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT..." (Acts 2:2-4). Selah

Prepare for Pentecost and keep it according to God’s Laws and avoid those who corrupt the Laws of God and His Calendar.

For further explanation, please read  http://www.logon.org/_domain/ccg.org/Sabbath/2008/S_04_05_08.htm :-

"The ministry in Worldwide taught that the Jews at the Temple in the time of Christ were observing Passover on the wrong day while teaching that the Jews were entrusted with the calendar by authority of Romans 3:1-2.  Even though they claim the Jews were entrusted with the calendar, WCOG never kept Passover and Pentecost according to the Hillel calendar, which the ministry claimed is God’s calendar.  The ministry was very inconsistent in this matter due to their complete lack of understanding of the Temple calendar.

The Hillel calendar with its postponement rules and backward count is in gross error.  It is not God’s Calendar and never was, and the Jews of today admit that it needs to be replaced.  It is a tremendous mistake with enormous spiritual consequences.  It is time for the WCOG off-shoots to correct their error in using the false Hillel calendar.  A wise man once said, “An error doesn’t become a mistake until you refuse to correct it.” (Orlando Battista)

The anointed "Christ knew and observed the correct calendar that was utilized by the Jews during the Temple period before its destruction in 70 CE.

The Temple calendar is still being used today by us, for the gates of the grave will not prevail against Christ’s called out ones, the ecclesia (Mat. 16:18).  He shepherds those given to him by his Father to keep and worship on the correct days that are declared to be holy by God."

"That Temple calendar has been maintained through the centuries and is with us today.  It is not difficult to understand the Temple calendar and it contains no postponements, which are a much later invention by Jewish rabbis.

Below is a chart for the years 2004 through 2025 showing Easter dates and comparing the dates of Abib 14 by years between the Temple calendar and the 358 CE Hillel calendar. Note that in the years 2005, 2008, 2016, and 2024 the Easter dates established through the Nicean Council are more accurate by comparison in their dates for Easter, even using the Friday/Sunday system, compared to the Temple calendar than the Hillel calendar is for Abib 14.  The Hillel calendar is late by a month in these years.

In the years 2004, 2006, 2007, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2025 the Hillel calendar is off by 1 to 2 days due to their invented postponement rules."

Passover of the Second Month

There is provision in God's Law for the Lord's Supper/Passover to be taken in the Second month, or Iyar. This is for the occasions when the Lord's Supper in the First month has been missed due to unforeseen circumstances, such as travelling, accidents, illness, etc., or in the event of childbirth. As with the First month, the ceremony should be held after dark on the 14th day of the Second month, which falls on 14 April this year (cf. Num. 9:9-11).

A particularly relevant example of a Passover celebrated in the Second month may be seen in 2Chronicles 29 and 30; this followed the cleansing and sanctification of the Temple in Jerusalem.
