Atonement 10/7/31/120

Dear Friends,

Today is the Day of Atonement. On this day we work to be at one with God and the church, which is the body of Christ. Today we all fast to break the bonds of wickedness and let the oppressed go free. This year we have been working to try to reconcile the churches of God and God has chosen to make this reconciliation most effective and most concentrated in Africa. The reconciliation in the more prolific and wealthier areas of the Churches of God have been to date unproductive and they have split into smaller and smaller units based on the ambitions of their prospective leaders. Much of it has nothing to do with doctrine as we see from the Armstrong offshoots whose ministry preach false doctrine and wrest or withhold the truth in unrighteousness.

God is dealing with the offshoots over many nations now and over many of the sub groups of the COGs. Some of the things happening in East Africa are quite serious. Much of it is quite encouraging. Up until recently we had very little success in West Africa due to the corruption there not only among the populace at large but also among the ministry of the COG in all of its branches.

Many of the brethren have been scattered and CCG is slowly putting it all back together again. In some cases it is not all that slow either.

I would like to share one story with you of a young woman who has been tested very severely in the faith and she has stood up very well under the test. She and her brother are a beacon to the Church of God in Nigeria.

She has been in contact with the Secretaries and I wrote to her of the problems we had with the churches in Nigeria and West Africa. We provided a member of the WCG system with work and a computer to do translations and he simply disappeared. We have had problems along these lines in East Africa also. Many people purporting to be part of the Church of God cannot be trusted.

She replied as follows.

Dear Brother Wade Cox in Christ,

I received your well written letter this evening and after going through the content with prayer, I decided to write back the same day to let you know that God has opened the door for the truth from CCG to be heard in Nigeria after all the years that ungodly men tried to stop the truth from spreading to Nigeria by deceiving you and collecting money without putting the money to the very project they requested for the glory of God and Salvation of man.

Please do not be discouraged to sow the true gospel seed in Nigeria because in the past you were cheated. God has the reward to every evil thing that men do under the sun So, lets trust God that He will give me and brother Richard and the few others here with me in Nigeria the grace to serve Him and allow all who need the truth that you are teaching to be heard in Nigeria and other parts of Africa.

I'm only a woman who desires to live my life for Jesus and serve Him as long as He gives me air to breath. Although, my husband was a Pastor, I was raised in the Church before I met him.

As a Pastor's daughter myself, I was brought up in the way of God to love and treasure His Word and to help others to know the truth.

I can translate the teachings by myself without looking for external help once I have the tools to work with.

My desire and desire of our faithful brothers and sisters here is to see this powerful truth spread to all the regions here in Nigeria.

All I will ask from you is your total prayers and encouragement and the grace from God to help take the truth from CCG to every city and state in Nigeria soon.

Even those especially the Akpan you mentioned if they are alive will hear of the wonderful work that God is doing with CCG in Nigeria.

God's ways passes human ways. He works in very miraculous ways. So, let’s believe that He will lead us, and that soon the true light will touch the darkest heart in Nigeria.

What I have passed through in life after the death of my husband in the hands of false teachers in the Church of God in Nigeria is great.

I have been to many groups who claim to be standing for the truth, but they have disappointed because they still follow the wrong doctrines of the WCG. Even the so-called UCG is leading many people all over the world astray with wrong teachings.

Satan is using most of today's COG ministers and elders to lead people astray.

Please brother Wade Cox, stand up on your feet and let the truth that God has given you be heard all over the world. You have the whole truth that today's COG needs to be the people that God has favoured. [The CCG website] and sermons will help revive the hearts of men and bring them back to God if you will be obedient to your calling. Never think you are alone and that mainstream COG has rejected your teachings and this will force you to stop proclaiming the truth. No, go ahead, continue to speak and God will use your sermons to win back the Church of God all over the world to Himself.

We will pray for you daily for the strength, power and resources you need to do the work.

We do not have [any] special word to tell you about ourselves. But let me inform you that for over 25 years, many of us has been in the Church and when the doctrinal changes set in the Worldwide [COG], God did not want us to perish and we left. We are scattered, but we are keeping the same faith.

Although, [CCG] teachings differs greatly from what we had, we realize that God has revealed the pure truth to you and we have to work with you to carry these along and help people here to follow the truth.

We have nothing to do with the Worldwide Church of God as they are now keeping Sundays and celebrating the pagan's Christmas and Easter. So, if you want us to join the CCG family, ask the West African Coordinator to write to me or Richard Uko. We are ready with the Spirit of God leading us to let people here know what CCG is doing for Jesus.

Take us as your brothers and sisters and let us join hands with you to spread the pure gospel that God is leading you too.

I personally will be delighted to work for God through CCG in the comfort of my home.

Let me tell you a little about myself and [my] qualifications. I'm 26 years old. I graduated from the University in 2001 and have been working as a class-room teacher until 2007 when I was asked to work on the Sabbath.

I turned down the offer and decided to set up a private center to help teach women the English language and Bible lessons. I also do petty trading in foodstuff to support my family and two daughters and serve God.

God has been so faithful over the years to me. They thought I would work on the Sabbath, but were disappointed to see how God is faithful to me.

So if you want to engage me, please be assured that I will serve diligently.

Greetings from all of us from Nigeria

We responded to this letter and we are placing Joy on the translation team and will be using her and her translation school to do the work into the languages of Nigeria.

The people will be established as composite churches there and we will see indeed how the world is to move on in Nigeria under Richard Uko and CCG.

God tests us all and if we are faithful to Him he will uphold us. This widow was brought up from a child in the church of God. She was a pastor’s daughter and the widow of a pastor and the sister of a pastor and despite serious trials and responsibilities she stood fast to the faith. She and her entire church group were able to see the truth and to reflect on what God was teaching them and correct their beliefs from the errors taught under Armstrongism.

This same drama is unfolding in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania with the churches of God. The thieves who milk the churches of God pretending to be pastors are being dealt with and the word of God is being set free and is being preached throughout the world. People are being brought in from Catholicism and Protestantism and paganism and Islam and a multitude of ideas and false systems from Kinshasa to Burundi and Rwanda and the Sudan. Now we are also moving in Nigeria and West Africa.

This day fast to break the bonds of wickedness and let the oppressed go free and break every yoke.
