Dear Friends,
This Sabbath is the Sabbath following the Feast of Tabernacles. That Feast is
laid down in the Bible as being mandatory, and one to be reintroduced by Christ
for all nations, when he returns. All religions will adopt the Feasts, and Laws
of God, and the Faith and Testimony of Jesus Christ on his return (see Zech.
14:16-21 and the Commentary
on Zechariah (No. 297)).
That text foretells of the nations going against Jerusalem in the Last Days, and the results of that war. After that war, all nations will obey God and keep His Laws.
This week I was sent an email message regarding an alleged newspaper ad by a Pakistani that offered a reward for the killing of an American or a Canadian: any US or Canadian citizen. It was allegedly replied to by an editorial by an Australian dentist. The purpose of the editorial was to let people know how to identify an American or Canadian when they found one. I think the issue goes beyond that simple approach, and it is important that we address this matter and deal with the mindset that is behind this attitude.
The next call will no doubt be to kill a Brit, or an Australian, or anyone in NATO that is in the force in Afghanistan or in Iraq.
The fact of the matter is that the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq have increased terrorist activity, not decreased it. The resurgent Taliban soldiers are being supported by Pakistanis. The Jihad is also directed at Australia, and Britain, and anyone else who opposes religious extremists who would enforce their errors on anyone. Terrorists are being, and have been trained in Indonesia (over 3000) and elsewhere for this task throughout the entire Muslim world. The plan for the handling of the post-invasion development of the national systems in Iraq and Afghanistan was poor, and the outcome was predictable. Indeed, we did say exactly what would happen there before the invasion went in. The Roman Catholics are not helping with their comments, and their history stands against them, as does that of the Reformation Protestant sects.
The nations under this call are English-speaking nations from a single colonist system that started in England Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
That group of people was originally diverse. The nations were themselves subject to religious persecution, and Roman Catholicism was enforced on them from the Synod of Whitby in 664 CE. The original Celtic Christianity in Britain was subjugated (see the paper Origins of Christianity in Britain (No. 266)).
The Reformation in Britain was successful from only one point of view, in that only Trinitarian Catholicism was allowed, and any non-conformist thought was suppressed. The last burning at the stake took place in 1612 in England (see the paper The Inquisition in Britain: Forty Decades for Repentance (No. 290B)).
Essentially, the English people had had enough of this bigotry and stupidity
addressed to people simply trying to worship God according to Scripture. Two
groups of people set out to colonise the New World. One came in 1607 and settled
Jamestown Virginia as a commercial enterprise, and ultimately this settlement
ran into difficulty and was shut down. It established a colony that was in reality
run on tobacco, and had a profound impact on Europe.
From this time, the Puritans developed a colony and a Trinitarian mindset that
persecuted the Sabbatarians.
In 1619, slavery was commenced in the Americas and the African Americans were imported. Convicts were also brought over from England until the War of Independence. Transportation was then redirected to Australia from 1788. Slavery was ended with the American Civil War. Bigotry and intolerance took another 120 years to see significant legislation to put an end to it. Intolerance and bigotry still exists there as it does everywhere.
In essence, there were two different religious groups sent out to the Americas. The group that came in 1620 were refugees who had fled England because of their religious persecution and spent some time in Holland, and then sent a party to America on the Mayflower. They had chartered the Speedwell as well, and travelled to England from the Netherlands on the Speedwell (see the paper The Dutch Connection of the Pilgrim Fathers (No. 264)).
They were Sabbatarians, called Brownists, who were persecuted for their faith, and left Europe to form a colony in America precisely because they were fed up with the persecution they suffered, not only at the hands of the Catholics, but also at the hands of the Church of England, and by the Calvinists, and by the Lutherans and also the Orthodox elsewhere.
The freedom to believe became and ideal in the minds of English deists. The last person executed for heresy in Britain, in 1697, was a Scottish student at Edinburgh University, Thomas Aikenhead, who was reported to the authorities by his classmates for denying the Trinity. He actually spoke in support of Islam also. His comments were the silly comments of a teenager and should have been treated as such. By this time people became nauseated with religious repression and the stifling of the capacity to think and debate (see also the paper The Inquisition in Britain: Forty Decades for Repentance (No. 290B)).
The religious intolerance came to America but it began to be rejected, and certain freedoms were written in to the US Constitution. With the gradual development of the concept of human freedom, Australia, New Zealand and Canada developed the necessary legislation to slowly develop freedom. Certain freedoms were written in to the Canadian Bill of Rights. The Commonwealth wrote into the Constitution of Australia that: the Commonwealth shall not make any law for the establishment of any religion nor any religious test for the holding of any public trust.
At the same time, in World War I, Britain, Australia, New Zealand and Canada, and the other nations of the Commonwealth, were fighting to liberate the world from a European and Ottoman Axis of colonisation. In 1917, Jerusalem was taken from the Turks and a Jewish homeland was declared along with a Palestine that was no longer under Ottoman dominion.
The British created the state of Iraq after WWI under a Hashemite kingdom.
Pakistan did not exist at this time as a national identity. It was only at the end of WWII when the British Commonwealth had defeated Hitler’s Nazi Germany that Islam was given the right to an independent state in India. Many Muslims went there, but many chose to remain in India. Similarly, Bangladesh was formed as East Pakistan but later separated.
Syria was liberated from French control by the Australian defeat of the French Foreign Legion in occupation there, as part of the Nazi or Axis forces. The Australian Imperial Force invaded Syria prior to its return to the Pacific to fight the Japanese.
These Muslim states exist as a result of the British Commonwealth activities over two world wars, assisted by the US forces in part in WWI, but very significantly in WWII.
For many centuries, Islam itself had been a place for the development of the Sciences, but with the rise of fundamentalist Islam in the Twentieth century we are seeing the same intolerance develop that was at its worst in the Roman Catholic Inquisition. We are even seeing unfortunate decisions of cricket umpires used to incite anti-western sentiment in Pakistan.
As a result of these ideals the USA threw open its doors to the poor and the needy of all races and all nations. Britain threw open its doors to Pakistanis and other needy of many nations. Islam became a common and major religion in UK. There are more Muslims in America and the British Commonwealth than there are in Afghanistan and a number of other Muslim nations combined. There are more Lebanese in the British Commonwealth and the USA than there are in Lebanon. Melbourne is also probably the second largest Greek city in the world. The British Commonwealth and the US have taken people from all over the world, over the last century. The only reason that the Pakistani call for murder was limited to the US and Canada was because there are a multitude of Pakistanis in Britain, and to a lesser extent in Australia.
There is also significant transmigration between Britain, America, Australia, NZ and South Africa.
So who are these people that these fundamentalist Muslims would exterminate?
This is a call to kill English, Scottish, Irish, French, Italians, Germans, Austrians, Scandinavians, Australians, South Africans, Croatians, Poles, Jews, Russians, Czechs and Slovenes and Balts. It kills Chinese, Vietnamese, Koreans, Japanese, Burmese and Laotians and Indians, and all the Indigenous people of these nations including Aborigines, and Maori, and Native Americans of both the Q, Q3 and C3 YDNA groups.
Many of these YDNA groups are also present among these Pakistanis and Afghans and Iraqis. Not only that, these people also are comprised of all religions, and people who are simply fed up with religion of the type that these hypocrites proclaim as the word of God.
The people they are calling on to have killed include Muslims, who themselves are sickened by this mindset. They wish to have killed their own Pakistanis, and Iranians, Iraqis, Indians, and Bangladeshis, Indonesians and South Africans, and American and British Commonwealth Muslims of European extraction, and Lebanese and Syrians, Palestinians and Egyptians, and refugees from Ethiopia and the Sudan and Somalia.
In short, they will to kill every branch of freedom-loving people in need of protection from bloody-minded thugs of the sort that would call for the extermination of any group of people
As Christians we believe in the Messiah and his imminent return to the planet. When he gets here, there will be a very significant number of people given a clear brief as to the Laws of God and the spirit behind those laws. The world’s calendar will be run according to an international system of Holy Days that he set up for mankind for the health and welfare of all.
The Koran does not endorse what these people are doing. Nor does the Bible endorse the mindless racist and religious bigotry being circulated in the US and the West. Nor does it support false accusation and false witness regarding these matters.
God will re-educate the planet under Christ. When that happens we will all
be in no doubt as to what is correct. Then we will be without excuse and Christ
will deal with us all.
