Sabbath Message by Wade Cox

Sabbath 5/5/29/120

Dear Friends

This Sabbath is the Fifth day of the Fifth month. The significance of the month of Ab was that it followed the worship of the false god Tammuz or Dumuzi in the Golden Calf whose false worship is commemorated in the name for the month. That is the month in which Israel sinned at Sinai. The details are examined in the paper The Ascents of Moses (No. 70). The text of that paper has many important observations concerning the Law and the place it occupies in the plan of God under Jesus Christ.

“The transition to Ab (root word for father) is actually the transition to the worship of the Father alone. That is why the New Moon of Ab is the time for repentance and change. From the New Moon to the Ninth is the period of completion. The Tenth of Ab brings the cycle of change to a close. Many of those who do not change are removed by this date. Thus the Babylonians destroyed the temple of King Solomon because Judah did not repent. They were removed and the old temple was completely destroyed.”

“It was in this month that Ezra and Nehemiah finished construction of the wall at Jerusalem. They began work on the wall in the Fifth month on the second or third day of the month and work was completed in fifty-two days on the Twenty-fifth day of the Sixth month Elul. In other words it was constructed from the days after the New moon of Ab to the end of the month of Elul and for the New Moon of the Day of Trumpets. The timing is examined in the paper Reading the Law with Ezra and Nehemiah (No. 250). Moses had returned at the end of Elul to keep the Holy days of the Seventh month with Israel, which culminated in the Feast of Tabernacles and the Last Great Day.”

“In the Fifth Ascent, Moses returned to the Mount asking forgiveness for the sin of idolatry of the Golden Calf. Moses asked God to forgive them or blot him out of the Book. Moses came down and led the people to where God told him. There was a plague because of the calf. The tabernacle was placed outside of the camp. The Lord descended and spoke to Moses. Moses was told the people were to be separate. God had said that He would show ‘my presence’ and guide him and the people of Israel into their possessions. Moses was told to hew another set of tablets, and only Moses was to come up to the top of the Mount and no one else (or their flocks) was to be on the Mount.

The Fifth Ascent is covered in Exodus 32:31-33 and the descent in Exodus 32:34-34:3.

The Sixth Ascent is covered in Exodus 34:4-28 and the Descent from 34:29-35.

Over this Fifth and Sixth month Moses was again on the mountain at Sinai with the Angel of the Presence. Moses received the details of the Law which was to guide Israel and the entire world through the years ahead, and which would ultimately control and guide the world under the millennial reign of Christ and the elect until they reached the end of the physical existence of mankind. Man was to be made a spiritual being and granted eternal life and thus immortality. We are to become gods as Christ was granted that glory and eternal life by God before us (Zech. 12:8 and the paper The Elect as Elohim (No. 1)).

Remember Moses had come down at the end of the Fourth month to find Israel in sin and the tablets of the Law were broken. He slew the unfaithful leaders, some three thousand in number, and returned up the mountain to speak again with Christ and receive a new set of tablets and the full explanation of the Law of God in its entirety from the mouth of Jesus Christ himself.

It was the exposure to the glorification that God had given Christ in power as His representative to humans that illuminated Moses and made him glow with a radiance that was visible to all when he returned from speaking with him. This was the reason that the Angel of the Lord was spoken to by Gideon who said: "Alas O Lord God (Adonai Yahovah) forasmuch as I have seen an angel of the Lord face to face." And the Lord said unto him, "Peace be unto thee; fear not thou shalt not die." Gideon knew that in full glorification a man would die, and many had died when confronted with such a being in power. Gideon built an altar there and called it Yahovah shalom meaning the Lord gives peace. The being seen by both Moses and Gideon was the Prince of Peace who spoke for Yahovah Shalom, who was Yahovah of Hosts and the One True God.”

“The Fifth month or the month of Ab is traditionally a month of disaster in Israel. The problems that arose through the failure of the Levites under Aaron at Sinai and with the elders of Israel were allowed so that we might understand that the heresy of the Church is with us, even at the highest levels, during the absence of Christ, and is to be purged from us. The major churches that purport to be Christian have in fact adopted the very same system from the Sun-cults worshipping on Sundays and keeping Christmas and Easter to a Triune God (see the paper The Origins of Christmas and Easter (No. 235)).

Moses purged the leadership and returned to Christ during Ab and Elul for forty days. So too does the Spirit purge the Church constantly.”

“Moses took the second set of tables to the Mount. He worshiped there, asking God for forgiveness for the people. Moses was told not to make any covenants with other nations, or else they would be a snare by them, that they would become involved with these nations who believe in other gods. The Holy Days are listed and given on this visit.

During this second 40 days Moses was given more of the Law. Moses was to be given a partial glimpse of the Glory of the Lord. The Yahovah of the Presence could not be seen in his fully glorified state or that person would die. Moses was told to write these words of the Law given to him, but the Ten Commandments were written by the finger of the Yahovah in the tablets of stone. However, all of the law of the covenant was given by the Yahovah of Israel to Moses. At this time Moses came down from the Mount and his face shone through exposure to the Glory of the Lord.

The Seventh and Complete Phase: Moses was able then, over the six ascents, to prepare himself and the people of Israel to keep the Feasts of the Lord in the Seventh month. The Feasts represent the final reconciliation of mankind with God.”

Moses was given the tablets of stone on which were written the Laws of God in the form of the basic Ten Commandments. Israel was tested under its priesthood for this period. While Moses was away with the elohim who was the Angel or Messenger of Yahovah of Hosts, Israel went into sin. They forgot the basic Ten Commandments that they had been given not two months before. Israel had turned back into idolatry and away from the Laws of God. They had already been given the Law verbally by Moses, before he went to the mountain. He went to receive detailed instructions on the entire system of Law and bring back the Commandments engraved by the finger of God. The elders had actually sat down and eaten with the great Angel of the Law (see the paper The Angel of YHVH (No. 24)). Aaron their high priest was left in charge of them.

This was no small matter. The Priesthood were all given clear responsibility for the welfare of Israel in Moses’ absence. So also the responsibility rests with the Church in the last days. The Laws of God are left in the protection of the Church and the churches and their priesthood are to learn to protect their understanding and implementation. The lips of the priesthood should preserve knowledge. God will not tolerate antinomianism among the clergy and He will remove them from the true Church when they profane the teaching of the Law.

Many do not really understand what is happening in regard to the Laws of God in the Church. I have seen God act to remove those who teach against His Law.

This last week was the end of the month of Tammuz. In that week Moses returned from the mountain with Joshua and the Tablets of the Law. They were greeted by noise. The elohim we now know as Jesus Christ said to Moses after he had carved the Laws of God out in stone tablets: “Go, get you down for your people have corrupted themselves.” Joshua said he thought that there was a noise of war in the camp but Moses recognised it for what it was. The noise was revelry for the people had made themselves a Golden Calf (see the paper The Golden Calf (No. 222)). They had thrown away the Laws of God and were worshipping a false system. Aaron, when questioned said simply, “I just put it in the fire and out came this calf.” Fancy that!

We have seen ministers teach that the Laws of God were done away along the same lines. They taught that the Law was done away when Christ came to preach the coming of the Holy Spirit. Why would Christ give a set of Laws to Moses and then kill people for not obeying them only to allow his Church to ignore them when he came to give the Holy Spirit to mankind. We are taught that the Holy Spirit is necessary to the keeping of the Law properly. Without the Holy Spirit we could not properly keep or understand the Law.

The Bible is quite clear that sin is transgression of the Law (1Jn 3:4) and that we are to obey or keep the Commandments of God (1 Jn 5:2-3).

On this evening at the end of Tammuz and the beginning of the New Moon of Ab, Moses returned to find Israel in sin and he broke the tablets of the Law and held the priesthood accountable. He took a number of Levites and then began to kill the ringleaders of the heresy. He killed 3,000 idolaters and then went back up the mountain to receive another set of tablets uncorrupted by the sins of the congregation as had occurred in the Fourth month of Tammuz.

We have now seen, twice in a number of years, ministry killed or removed for teaching against the Laws of God in the Church of God. The Trinitarian system does not experience such action because God is not concerned with their idolatry at the present. However, the leaders of the Church of God are under judgment. God will deal with them and has dealt with them in that manner. I wrote in similar vein in 2003 for the New Moon of Ab and those comments are appropriate now.

“The month of Ab has seen God deal with Israel often, and the destruction of the Temple occurred in this month under the Babylonians. The Temple was destroyed and Israel was sent into captivity because they had not kept the Laws of God properly and the land had to be given its Sabbaths under the Law.

One thing most people do not fully comprehend is that if Christ had taught the diminishing of the Law he would have disqualified himself as the Messiah. He would be dead now awaiting the Second Resurrection and God would have sent another. However, God knew Christ would not sin and sent him because he would not sin. Christ himself said that until heaven and earth pass away not one jot or tittle would pass from the Law. He fulfilled the sacrificial law by giving himself once and for all time. That was the fulfilling of the sacrificial law, which stood against us and which required constant expiation and sacrifice due to our debts in sin against the Law of God. That is the only thing that was changed. Hebrews tells us the entire reasoning and the structure of the change in the sacrifices and the priesthood, which were changed also with Christ and the implementation of the order of Melchisedek (see also the paper Melchisedek (No. 128)).

Those who do not keep the Commandments of God crucify Christ again and again. Quite simply, the false teaching has no place among the servants of God and God has shown it will not be tolerated. I was amused to hear the argument dealt with among the servants of God in the following way. One man was arguing that the Law had been done away and another answered the comment simply by saying: “Oh, Ok, tonight I will be around to sleep with your wife!” The man had no answer. Because, if what he was saying was true then there was no law in the country he was in, which said that could not happen. The only reason two consenting adults could not have intercourse rested solely on the prohibition of the Seventh Commandment and the attendant biblical legislation derived from that section of the Law (see the papers Law of God Series (L1) and Law and the Seventh Commandment (No. 260)).

That is why this antinomian teaching of doing away with the Law of God is being circulated in the Trinitarian Churches this century. It was never accepted by the Protestants of the Reformation, as we see from their Confessions of Faith outlined in the paper Distinction in the law (No. 96). It is essentially an argument advanced by perverts and fornicators to justify their aberrations. The problem is that many who espouse it do not understand the logic of what they say.

If you are being exposed to, or are being corrupted by this doctrine, deal with it before it does more damage to your congregation.

Usually it is accompanied by the control of information contrary to, or to change what is being taught. The propaganda process starts off with a strong statement in support of what is being undermined and then the process of destruction is commenced or continued. The mental process is called cognitive dissonance. It can send some people mad.”

One argument that is being advanced by ex WCG people in some of their ministries is that the Law is done away and they use the Book of Galatians to justify their silly remarks. They say the Law is done away when in the same text Paul speaks of the Works of the Law, which they misunderstand. The term is covered in the paper Works of the Law or MMT (No. 104). The problem he is addressing is one of rituals and the salvation being affected by Jewishness. Salvation is of the Gentiles, and it is by Grace, but transgression of the Law is sin. Whoever says they love God and do not keep His Commandments is a liar and the truth is not in him (1Jn 2:4). John said that this is how we know we love the children of God, when we love God and keep his commandments (1Jn 52). That is the litmus test of a Christian. How then does Paul fare in this if Galatians does away with the Laws of God in the elect? The answer is that Paul does no such thing and anyone who teaches that is a liar and the truth is not in him.

After remonstrating with the Galatians about their Judaising over the Works of the Law he then says in Galatians 5:18:
But if ye are led by the Spirit you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, Fornication, uncleanness and lasciviousness (all are sub-ordinances of the Fifth and Seventh Commandments); Idolatry, Witchcraft (1st to 4th Commandments) hatred, variance (2nd Great and 6th Commandments); emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies (1st Great, 1st to 4th, 5th, 6th, 9th, and 10th Commandments); Envying murders, drunkenness, revelling and such like; of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Now in this list he got both Great Commandments and every single one of the Ten Commandments, and some that are found only in the sub-ordinances of the Law flowing from the Ten Commandments.

So in the very text in which the antinomians that seek to destroy the work of the Church of God claim does away with the Law, we see that Paul upholds the Law as the specific Commandments of God.

Thus these false teachers, by Paul’s own text they corrupt, do not inherit the Kingdom of God and prevent those who seek to do so from entering, through their false teaching.

These will vanish away as the other false teachings of the Faith.

Judaism and so-called modern Islam will vanish. Judah will repent and its eyes finally will be opened, as will the sons of Ishmael and Israel combined. Islam will be restored to what it was under the Patriarchs, Moses and Christ.

Nothing will be allowed to interfere with that process. The Laws will stand and they will be explained. The Church will not deviate from the Faith. It teachers will not survive under error or in indolence.
