New Moon 1/9/29/120
Dear Friends,
Today is the New Moon of Chislev. The prophet Haggai spoke of the restoration
of Judah as occurring from the 24th day of this month (see the paper Commentary
on Haggai (No. 21)).
It was on the 24th of the Ninth month, Chislev, that the Australians launched their attack and took Jerusalem on 7 December 1917. The only problem was that the day was according to the Temple Calendar and not according to the postponements of the Hillel Calendar of modern Judaism (see also the paper The Oracles of God (No. 184)).
From 1916 the times of the end commenced. 1917 saw Jerusalem back in Israelite hands notwithstanding the fact that the majority of the soldiers were Hittites of Gomer that came from Parthia and Scythia, and many of them after Israel’s captivity to the Assyrians ca. 722. They were absorbed as part of the blessings of Israel. Uriah, the Hittite, was one of the thirty of the mighty men of Israel at the time of David. His wife became the mother of Solomon and the ancestor of Joseph, stepfather of Jesus Christ.
From 1917 onwards God began to restore Israel and to build it up to deal with the nations.
By 1967 Jerusalem was in Judah’s hands entirely, even though the majority of Judah is in fact of Gentile origin as is the majority of Israel. The period from 1967 to 2077 covers the restoration and the establishment of the millennial system under Jesus Christ and the rehabilitation of the planet (see the paper The Golden Jubilee and the Millennium (No. 300)). These matters will be covered in detail in the paper Advent of the Messiah (No. 210).
The Church of God will ultimately consist of all nations grafted in to Israel under the Messiah. There will be no religious divisions, no strange rituals and calendars, no idols and no race wars. The whole world will be properly educated and at peace.
It is difficult to comprehend how hatred can be espoused by people claiming to follow Jesus Christ. Islam claims to follow the Messiah but does nothing that he commands. Trinitarian Christianity does not obey him either. Judaism denies he came to save them and look to the future for his arrival not realising that the prophecies were fulfilled in him.
It should be obvious to the world that the Twentieth century was the culmination of religious and racist conflict that was held at bay by the power and determination of the English-speaking people assisted in large part by the Russian people in WWII.
The demise of these people will not make the world safer. In fact, it will be far less safe than it has been, and the peoples of the world will virtually exterminate themselves.
The Church is a body of people who believe and trust in the word of God. If we do not agree we have no business being in the same body.
If we are not agreed then we need to mind our own business and go our own way. We should have no fellowship with those that seek to destroy us or who associate with those that do. Do not gossip and do not associate with those who do gossip. Make no railing accusation against anyone. If you are not reconciled to the Church and the Faith then you should make that a priority. No one needs to be away from the work of God.
We certainly should not seek the hurt or death of those who disagree with us.
That has been done to the Sabbatarian Churches of God for centuries and we know
only too well how it feels.
Love your enemies and do good to them that hate you. There is, however, no legislation
that says you have to be a doormat for those who seek your destruction, and
where you have a remedy at law and the people will not abide by God’s Laws and
hear the matter then they are as infidels and can be taken before the magistrates.
We should not tolerate the hate speech of those who profess religion.
We can look forward to the days ahead when the world will go through its birth
pangs of the new era under Messiah. The sooner those days are over the sooner
we will be with the Messiah and the world will be at peace finally.
