Sabbath Message by Wade Cox

Sabbath 13/8/28/120

Dear Friends,

This Sabbath we would like to draw attention to the place of the brethren in the world. Many people are drawn to the truth by the promulgation of the word of God and find it too hard or get distracted along the way by some pressure or another.

The gospels use the parable of the “Sower and the Seed” to illustrate this point. The Testament says that many are called but few are chosen. Some of us are called to the faith and make errors and pick ourselves up and go on. It does not mean that because we err that we are not called. God spends a deal of care in our selection and hands us to Christ to perfect us. We are predestined to be called and conformed to the image of His Son so that Christ might be the firstborn within a large family. We who are predestined are called according to God’s purpose. We are then justified and glorified (Rom. 8:29-30).

One of the problems we face is that many come to the faith out of self-interest. It is only over time that these people become manifest. The Church of God is required to run on trust. That is not so different to the world. The world has required that people operate their daily affairs in an honest and reliable way. In the day of the Khans it was said that a young woman could walk the length of the empire with a plate of gold on her head and remain unmolested. Whilst that may have been an exaggeration it was held to typify the standards of the day. No one would suggest that was even remotely possible today even in many cities, let alone across a nation.

During our business activities we often come across unscrupulous people and there are laws and systems in place to try and protect us from people who try to benefit financially by deception and dishonesty.

The people of the churches of God are not to conduct themselves in accordance with these low levels of behaviour. We are to let our yes be yes and our no be no. In all things we are to conduct ourselves honestly and with integrity.

The world will degenerate on a continual basis over the next seven years up until the next reading of the law. We may well find that in the last few years of this next cycle that the world is brought to the birth in great turmoil. There is little doubt that the demons see 2012 as the great watershed year of the end. They will bring the world to nuclear war as soon as they can over this next period and before the reading of the law in 2012 if at all possible. The world will certainly face a period of judgment immediately after the Feast of Tabernacles in 2012.

The thinking of the world is degenerating and the conduct of business affairs is likewise going downhill. The world is finding it more difficult to judge right from wrong.

I was interested in an article in the India Daily recently that said that Tibetan Buddhist Monks who engaged in what was a form of divination were coming up with the scenario that we expect to see develop over the period from 2010 to 2012, with a nuclear exchange in 2012 and the intervention of extra terrestrial beings to save the planet.

How we are by 2012 will determine where we are shortly thereafter. This third reading of the Law coming up in 2012 will see the earth in great turmoil.

In 2013 the earth system of the era of the sun and mystery religion and its cults will be brought to an end. By 2025 the entire system will be reorganized and preparing for the millennial system.

Just prior to the year 4004 BCE the earth was made tohu and bohu. That event was most probably what wiped out the dinosaurs. The end of this age may well be almost as traumatic. The earth will become again waste and desolate but God will not make a full end (Jer. 4:27). There will be a small remnant left alive with which to rebuild the earth for the Millennium. This is the true Thousand Year Reich that the demons were trying to counterfeit firstly through Wilhelm and then through Adolph Hitler, using the strength of Germany.

In order to do that successfully this third time they will firstly try to break down the thinking and ethics of the nations so that the people will be bereft of sane thinking and moral structure. Only then can they kill on such a large scale.

The demons are succeeding very well indeed. We are seeing conduct now even among the Churches of God that at one time would have been rare even among the world. What is fascinating is that it is not realized as being irregular by those practicing the aberrant behaviour. Conduct that saw Judas suicide and Ananias and Sapphira killed is engaged in by baptized people.

Do not be deceived by the standards of the world. They are going down now very fast and those who remain unchanged are seen as very odd indeed. That does not make them wrong, it merely means that they have not changed. Sometimes they have changed but just not gone down at the same rate.

We should also, in this period of change, not become weary in well-doing. How many times should we forgive wrongs? Seven times seventy we should forgive so we are told. That, however, does not mean we should continue to place ourselves in positions where we can be damaged again to the same extent. For true forgiveness there must be fruits of repentance.

For our own spirituality we must forgive readily but to achieve forgiveness we must have fruits of repentance. None of us should treat the churches of God as a place to obtain money. By so doing you place your baptism at risk.

When you give your allegiance, be loyal and trustworthy. Church hopping for money is a despicable form of dishonesty. Pulling others down for your own advancement is also a serious problem. We should build one another up. We should not repeat hearsay and gossip.

As we develop over the next few years we will see ourselves prepared for the coming tribulation and the life ahead. Our young people will be prepared to take their place, either in the kingdom of God as spiritual beings or, as physical leaders in the millennial system. Either way they are dependent upon what you do over the next few years.

The last seven years have flown by and the next seven will go as fast. The tribulation at the end of it may take an eternity in the minds of the people experiencing it.

Don’t lose your position and don’t be the cause of others being carted about from one traveling circus to another out of your own greed and deception. Be a reliable steward. Those that are faithful in little are judged worthy to be leaders over much.

The adversary is attacking us continually now and we should not lose sight of the goal ahead. We should not be discouraged and attack one another over trivialities.

Love one another and encourage one another as God loves and develops us.
