This month we are again watching the world progress into the increasing effects of Global Warming and the weather systems being subject to increasing change and disruption.
The solstice tides this June are increasing and further bad weather is causing inundation in areas where previously there was none.
This summer in North America there were multiple tornadoes in areas where there had previously been none and the hail damage to crops has increased and moved further north. The west coast fruit crops have also been seriously affected.
The British scientists are now admitting that the situation is far more serious than they had previously thought possible, and now admit that there is the potential to destroy our civilization. The reports are on the web site at Global Warming.
They now admit that when they first examined the matter, that some thought that it was simply a matter of growing more Mediterranean plants in the UK.
The key scientists in the UK now admit that what was thought to be a thousand years off, is now going to happen from ten to fifty years hence.
When we produced the paper Global Warming and Bible Prophecy (No. 218) and also the accompanying paper The Last Thirty Years: The Final Struggle (No. 219) in 1997, they were considered far-fetched if not actually insane. The scientific community was saying it would take a thousand years to raise water levels one foot. It took no more than four years to do that and is increasing.
Last year the summer in the Northern Hemisphere saw increased temperatures with many thousands dying in France. The media failed to deal with this correctly or even seriously. Instead of commenting on the very real and serious effects of Global Warming, they turned it into a criticism of how the French looked after their aged people. In that way, by criticising what could be rectified, they were able to ignore the enormous problem of the increasing effects of Global Warming.
Some British scientists were appalled at the media failure to deal with the issue. There is no surprise in that. The human response has always been to ignore what they don’t want to change until it cannot be ignored any longer, and then shoot the messenger. The authorities killed God’s prophets, and many died in Jerusalem where they should have been honoured.
The scientists are now seriously alarmed at the melt rate of the Greenland Cap. That rate will increase as the ice mass reduces. We said that there was some six metres of water in terms of world sea level rises, or so, in the Greenland Cap. At the current rates it will be all gone in about ten years or less, and with increases the time fame will be shortened. The West Antarctic basin will also contribute to the melt and add a further six metres to world sea levels. Within ten years the water levels will continue to rise at increasing rates inundating vast areas of arable land.
The Greenland ice melt will add to the problems that may well cause the Gulf Stream to stall. Instead of heating, the UK may well go colder and Scotland may well freeze. Such current changes will alter world climate, as we have not seen before.
Increasingly unstable weather will cause further sporadic inundation extending damages and loses. Water is already a serious problem. Food storage is not being undertaken in a serious way. One might ask why is that so when the consequences are so serious?
The answer is actually quite frightening. There are people in power positions around the world who actually want to destabilize the world’s population groups and use that crisis to then eliminate many groups and nations.
One is fascinated with the absolute failure to deal with this crisis. The politicians in Australia for example are allowing massive developments under the 100 metres, or 300 foot, level that is the real danger level for future inundation. Movement is away from the inland and to the coasts, and much of the financial development and expenditure is concentrated in areas that will be among the first to go. At present, the rate is too slow to change governments over inaction. There are many areas that will see much litigation over the failure to deal with and the council approvals of developments in areas that are known to be at risk. Litigation in those areas will probably force the bankruptcy of local government areas. However, the real problem lies in the failure of the nation to be able to respond to relocation and development in safe areas. Some nations have no such capacity, but most do and they should be reorganising now.
The problem lies in the democratic system itself. It is unable to react to long term planning needs and to make the necessary sacrifices and adjustments. Politicians simply do not have to make such decisions. They are actually penalized if they do try to make such provisions and adjustments.
One of the most dangerous views of any political system is the rapturist view of the end of the world systems as we know them. The Gnostic pseudo-Christian scenario that says that at the return of the Messiah, the world will come to an end and the faithful will be raptured and taken to be with Christ, and that all the world will die and then be sent to the judgment and then ”hell.”
This false doctrine of heaven and hell could not be further from the truth and is the most dangerous doctrine of all. It is not Christian and from the earliest times it was always seen as a pseudo-Christian doctrine of the Gnostics. Such a view leads to political statements of the type uttered in the US administration that they “won’t be there” for the problems. The opposition is because they obviously expect the world to end and they are raptured to be with the Messiah. This doctrine is not only a false doctrine of pseudo-Christians; it is downright dangerous as a thought process in government. It actually preconditions the more uninformed who hold this view to adopt tactics that endanger the existence of the planet because those people expect it to end anyway and the “wicked” are merely ”getting their just deserts”.
This doctrine actually affects most Trinitarian persuasions. The views have been examined in the paper The Millennium and the Rapture (No. 95). The Bible actually says the exact opposite.
The Bible position is that, at the return of the Messiah, the elect will be
transformed as spirit beings and taken to Jerusalem to the Messiah where they
will commence the rule of the earth, and the reorganisation of the earth’s systems
of government, and the restoration of the environment, which by that time will
be virtually destroyed by war and human disobedience and stupidity.
How do we resolve the problem?
The answer is fairly simple. We have to repent and obey God. We have to begin keeping God’s Laws. We have to change our dietary patterns and eat clean food types (see the paper The Foodlaws (No. 15)). We have to appoint dedicated men who will change our administrations to reflect proper principles and forward planning within a sound economic structure.
Our systems will also collapse from these intense dislocations and we will be forced to readjust our economic structures. If anyone has not noticed, our current systems do not work. The planet is being destroyed by our mismanagement.
The destruction of the planet and its people is the aim of the demonic host prior to the coming of the Messiah, so we cannot be left to restore it in accordance with God’s Laws. Satan is a bit like a spoilt child in some ways, in that he would rather destroy us than adjust for us and obey God and admit error.
We don’t have to wait for Satan to destroy us or follow this erroneous thinking. Each of us can act now. We can change our way of life and thinking. As an individual we can have a great effect on the world around us. By baptism as an adult and through obedience in the Law of God, we can overcome. We can join an increasing body of the elect and so judge and correct the demonic host.
Act now and preserve the planet under true and just government.
