The Church of God is based on truth, and Christ says the truth will set us free (Jn. 8:32). Christ has a lot to say about truth and the Spirit of Truth, and especially in the Gospel of John. We worship the Father in Spirit and in truth (Jn. 4:23-24). The Law came by Moses but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ (Jn. 1:17).
John chapter 1 deals with the concept of Christ as the instrument of the Creator of the age, who came into the world to his own and his own knew him not.
This places Christ as the Yahovah of Deuteronomy 32:8 who received Israel as his inheritance from the Most High who allocated the nations according to the number of the Sons of God (see RSV and DSS not KJV). Yahovah received Israel as his portion or inheritance. He gave the Law to Moses but came in the flesh to bring grace and truth to us, so that we might be able to keep the Law in spirit and in truth worshipping God in his name. As many as receive him are given the power to become sons of God (Jn. 1:12). The ancient references of the early church writers, such as Irenaeus (178), Tertullian (208) and Augustine (395) among others before any ancient manuscript, read who was begotten (born) in the singular, referring to Christ. Christ existed prior to his incarnation and John 1:13 states “Who was born not of blood nor of the will of the flesh, nor the will of man but of God.” The Latin Codex Veronensis that precedes Jerome’s Vulgate reads Qui…natus est. Tertullian (De Carne Christ c. 19) says the believers could not have been meant here and says the reading comes from the Valentinian Gnostics of the Second and Third Centuries. This is the sentiment of the Koran, which says Christ was not begotten of God in any physical sense but God simply said: Be! and he was in the body of Mariam and a human foetus. By this process the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. Psalm 25:16 says that he is God’s only one and afflicted. The Septuagint uses the word monogenes to translate the Hebrew text of Psalm 25:16 saying that he is God’s only one and afflicted. The Septuagint (LXX) uses the word monogenes to translate the Hebrew yachid, which has been rendered desolate in the KJV. Thus the monogenes here is the monogenes theos or only born god of John 1:18. So, grace and truth came by this being, the only born god, who, being in the bosom of the Father, spoke.
It is fascinating to watch the radical Unitarians masquerading among the Churches of God who deny the pre-existence of Jesus Christ and seek to insert quasi-Trinitarian doctrine among us in the pretext of exposing it as false. They masquerade as the body of Christ while inserting Gnostic error among us. There is no difference between a Trinitarian who says Christ was part of the God, described as being composite of Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and a doctrine that says he was an idea in the mind of God until he entered Mariam’s womb. It makes a joke of the texts and especially the important concept being given here in John. In the same way, the concept that Christ and God were two Gods who existed for eternity, and one decided to become the son of the other. What blasphemy. That makes Christ out to be a second true God and the Bible is clear there is only One True God who sent Jesus Christ and this understanding is conditional to the inheriting of eternal life (Jn 17:3). This same being, who became the Christ or Messiah, was he who gave the Law to Moses and then came to enable us to become sons of God through grace and truth.
Pontius Pilate asked the question of Christ: “What is truth?” He found out and was converted. He needed the Holy Spirit to understand the truth of God. He became part of the body of Christ as we all are called into the body over time. Many try to join us but some do not succeed in their calling. They were not predestined, and then chosen, to be called. Do not be dismayed but rather pray for them and their calling in due time.
When we are called, we are given an understanding of the truth and enabled to follow it. But we are required to understand and follow the truth. It is the truth that sets us free and we are required to not only follow it but also to teach the truth. The adversary is the father of lies who corrupts the Bible and has caused havoc among the Churches of God in the twentieth century.
The ministry of even the Church of God try to prevent the open study of truth in many branches in these last days. They do not enter the kingdom of heaven themselves and seek to prevent those who would do so from entering by their corrupt teaching.
Remember that the body of Christ is not a plaything, nor is it to be treated as a chattel to be shorn by individuals through corrupt doctrine. I have seen individuals from some of the Churches of God who try to get the truth to be examined and to effect changes. The conflict often occurs when the members not on the payroll seek to address aspects of the faith, and the ministers on the payroll see that as a threat to their comfortable existence. Truth is of no consequence. People who deal with issues are told that unless it agrees with what, for example, Herbert Armstrong taught (usually meaning what they glean from his later teachings) then they are not interested in looking at it. And then when the deacons and local elders of that system disagree they are accused of following men. What hypocrisy. What dishonesty and respect of persons.
Much of that attitude came from the brainwashing of the Churches of God under the later twentieth century system. They took the developed techniques of the Nazis and the Communists and developed them in the Church of God to control the elect. It is not a fantasy. We have watched it done to great effect. It is now placing the very democratic systems of the United States and the British Commonwealth in danger.
The same systems and worse are used among the US Pentecostal movement, and the feel good emotionalism is spread everywhere among an ignorant and emotive people who can barely read simple sentences. Their ignorance is extended into Africa, based on an appeal to emotion and the music oriented heretical systems.
Education and truth is being cast to the ground. The people are being “dumbed-down” in all nations now. What was taken for a basic education system and standard among children in the early twentieth century is now barely attainable among university adults. The fact is that our younger people at all levels cannot spell and read at any reasonable level. They simply are unable to evaluate arguments based on truth and validity because they cannot articulate the concepts.
The ministry of many of the Churches of God behave like the predators of the Trinitarian system and prevent the education of the elect in truth.
As a simple exercise, go online and look at the US MSN News site. Then go to
another site such as the Nine MSN site and look at the difference. The Australian
site has to have an elevated news level simply because the Australians are behind
in the dumbing-down process. The US news deals with who is fat, which cars to
buy, what shows to watch, and which celebrities are sleeping with each other
out of wedlock. The other news site has to have more world-news content in it.
That is not because they want to do so, but it is because their people would
not yet put up with what the Americans accept now without a murmur.
We, as a people, are in danger of being turned into mindless robots who are
unable to make informed decisions. It is not isolated. It is everywhere. The
desire to control is endemic and we see it now as being worse in countries like
India and Africa, who exploit their people as a matter of course due to their
religious views and prejudices.
If you go to church and do not have open Bible studies where you can ask questions about the word of God, you are being prevented from growing in the word of God and the truth. I have watched studies where the people were forced to write down what they wanted to know, and then select questions were asked and the hard ones ignored. That was because they could not openly deal with the problems because they were paid to control the congregations and not to open up topics that they could not control or which presented change. This technique was present in the Armstrong system and in most of its offshoots. In some, they simply lie and misrepresent Scripture. I have seen cut and paste of the Scriptures with the removal of lines to make Scriptures say the opposite of what they actually said, and yet the people still follow these false teachers of lies.
In the Trinitarian Churches, they replace any study with ritual and selectively sermonise from the NT topics that are twisted to enable control. They don’t even pretend to follow the Bible to its literal intent, and ignore the Old Testament virtually entirely. They used to confiscate Bibles so people could not read or study them. When they could no longer do that, they corrupted the words of key texts.
Soon those congregations will be worse than the worst days of Sodom and Gomorrah. Our people are rushing headlong into destruction on a massive scale, and our people now are no longer interested in the word of God. They reject it because the Christian Churches have made it into a joke.
The Islamic faith is also a joke now due to the insane interpretation of the Koran through the Hadith, and the deliberate incitement to hate and murder everywhere.
These activities are deliberate so that the world will turn to materialism and reject any religious philosophy at all and, much more so, reject the truth of the word of God.
The world is being manipulated to control and create ignorance and decreased wellbeing and freedom. They are led by the spiritual world using humans given the power to achieve their goals. Our freedoms are being eroded by our own people. Those who we place in power over us, destroy us.
Wake up and embrace the truth of God’s word, and hold fast to that which is true and that which is good.
When you are placed in a position of trust over a congregation, or are given the privilege of working with God’s people, do not betray that trust or make light of the responsibility. Do not destroy the brethren by false teaching, or exploitation, or cause them grief. Love them and treat them as you would expect to be treated. Because you live in a society that has been corrupted and made cruel and brutal by a caste system, do not assume that God will allow you to treat the brethren that way. If you do, you will not survive. If you have done so, then repent.
If God is calling you into the Church of God in these last days, it is into the truth and to His system. That system is being restored in the last days to prepare for the trials of the Witnesses and the establishment of the Millennial system under Messiah.
You must be able to see through error and get rid of the false ways that corrupted the Church in the last part of the Twentieth century. Follow the truth and the truth shall set you free.
Slowly we will all link up from city to city and area to area, and over time we will become a mighty army under Jesus Christ, keeping the Laws of God as the Church or Ecclesia of God. We will become the Islam of God free of Hadith, and the body of Israel free of the traditions of the Talmud, and the body of Christ free of the Councils of the Trinitarians.
No one can come to God except through the Messiah into the body of Israel, which is the body of Christ.
We must love one another and worship God in Spirit and in Truth. Christ brought us truth and the grace to learn and correct ourselves. Keep us free from sin, which is the transgression of the law (1Jn 3:4). Love the truth (see the paper Truth (No. 168)). Only by the preservation of the truth, through the word of God and in all things, can we be truly free and be part of the body of Christ. For those who make a lie are outside of the City of God.
