Sabbath 5/5/26/120
Dear Friends,
This Sabbath we might reflect on the way in which our society is deteriorating in its social structure and its ethics. Much of the ethical breakdown is coming from targeted and organised changes within the religious environment. Much is through the undermining of our social structure.
Over a century ago Sir Robert Peel devised a system for the effective prevention of crime. The modern police force was created to prevent crime before it was committed by having a visible police presence on the street so that people were aware, and the police were equipped to take preventative action to stop crime before it happened. The results were quite successful. Areas of the cities that in previous decades had bars on the windows were able to remove them and their houses were more or less safe. The crime incidence dropped. The types of crime involving violence did not drop as remarkably, as much violence and murder is of a domestic nature due to the breakdown of family groups and bonds and ethics.
The second arm of this process was the function of ethical systems within the society. Much of the ethics of the Anglo-Saxon system was Bible based. Even though the Laws of God were not fully followed, it was accepted that the structure of the common law was based on an understanding of some ethical principles obtained from the Bible. The Humanist system has worked to undermine that basis and also to establish aberrant processes in society.
The world in the 1920s was more violent than it is today, however what we are seeing is the deterioration of our society to where the world today is more violent than it was twenty years ago. In some areas this is due to the deliberate destabilisation of nations by other nations and the result of tribal conflict. However, in the developed world and among the Anglo-Saxon/Celts and associated nations we are seeing the deliberate destabilisation of the preventative system and the failure of the police and courts to act in any substantive way. The result is that crime is now on the increase and the old are being more and more subject to criminal activity and violence.
The monsters of terrorism and crime are being used against society. The result is the systematic erosion of liberty and the freedom of the individual. If you assume that there are no absolutes and deny that the law is absolute because it proceeds from the nature of God, you become relativist. Things are right or wrong because they suit the society at the time. In this way, the rights of the individual are based on their capacity to enforce them. The strong can overcome the weak. Those with no voice become defenceless. The infant has no rights and is killed for various reasons of convenience. The wealthy aged can create embryos to provide them with body parts. Life degenerates. In India I saw the instance of a man selling his wife’s kidney for money. This relativism will continue to increase.
In New York this week we saw the trumpeting of the first homosexual high school. This aberration is undermining society and will increasingly do so until the return of Messiah. The double talk of the Roman Catholic system is encouraging the aberration. This week the Pope said that homosexuality was prohibited by the Bible however, he took no action to deal with the enormous number of openly homosexual priests in the Roman Catholic Church and not only in the USA. The Episcopalians are now ordaining openly homosexual bishops in the USA, as in UK among the Anglicans. The people who object are forcing a division and the homosexuals are expressing regrets that they are leaving. What insanity. The Church of England was formed on the basis of the upholding of the moral law. It is the ordinations that should be declared invalid and the Bishops who did it sacked.
One cannot but think that the declaration of the Pope is merely to attract the Anglicans who object into the RC fold under the illusion that they are not endorsing the problem. The fact is they are riddled with it everywhere.
I am continually amazed by the unethical behaviour of religious groups and ministers in the purpose of their perceived interests. “Truth” is seen as putting your point of view in the best way. Truth becomes relative. Propaganda becomes truth.
The abrogation of responsibility by governments is also of serious concern. The failure of the United States to deal with its oil lobby and its pollution is increasing green house gas emissions faster than any other nation. The USA produces one quarter of the earth’s emissions and is responsible for at least a quarter of man-produced Global Warming effects. The world is getting very annoyed with the US, and the European community will act increasingly to confront the US over this issue.
This week it was announced that the effects of Global Warming were increasing the solstice spring tides and the future levels were to be far higher than they have ever been. We have been saying that for years now. It takes a while for everyone to confirm what we already know. Global Warming is affecting the environment (see the paper Global Warming (No. 218)).
However, the failure to obey God’s Laws and responsibly harvest the world’s food stocks is also destroying the environment. We eat shellfish and crustaceans and wonder why the ocean’s food chain is out of balance. We harvest in the breeding grounds and wonder why the stocks are gone. We breed pigs and wonder why we suffer from previously unknown diseases.
The control of resources and trade will be a fundamental cause of war and the turning of nations against each other. Australia is the driest continent aside from Antarctica. The requirement to develop it is a duty the Australians have. However, the development of Australia is being deliberately distorted and placed on the coastal cities and the provision of water resources are being frustrated by people who are themselves scientists.
The interior is being depopulated and the population is being placed in large
cities on the coastal fringe, which are producing very significant diseconomies
of scale as we see also in the USA, but much more so in Australia.
The laws of God are rejected for convenience and for aberration. Relativism
is destroying our morality and our society. Ethics are degenerating and the
Churches of God are leading the way in some instances. People think they are
immune from legal and ethical action because they use the name “church.” We
have had more unethical activity from people claiming to be religious and ministers
of God than from any other source. Although, admittedly, religion is our field
of endeavour. When confronted they invariably shriek like startled schoolgirls
and spout about what they expect of “Christian” behaviour. They don’t seem to
understand that we are going to them because their behaviour is totally contrary
to Christian ethics and common law. This is not isolated activity. This is a
common occurrence.
I notice that ignorance is also a major factor in the deterioration of standards and liberty. The presumption of innocence is being seriously undermined in our society. People are now urging the compilation of lists for people who have been found innocent of crimes. The justification is based on unpopular sexual activity, but the principle is the same. An individual in the Commonwealth and in Biblical Law is presumed innocent until he is proven guilty.
The rights conferred under Habeas Corpus must also be protected. We must be able to prevent unlawful detention.
The case of the detainees in the Afghan war is an example. The prisoners are being held in Cuba at an American base. There are two Australians being held there without trial. These people could be charged in Australia but the likelihood of them getting serious sentences is low so they are being allowed to be held there and Hicks for example is effectively denied his birthright. Now we might not agree with him and the fact that he was stupid enough to get involved in supporting a regime that is contrary to the ethics and beliefs of most of his countrymen, but that still does not justify a negation of his rights as an individual. If you don’t like it, stiffen the penalties involved and hang him but don’t deny him his rights because you don’t like the penalties involved. If you have politicians that think like this get rid of them.
Now Europe has no such tradition and under the Napoleonic Code there are no rights of Habeas Corpus, or of discovery, or of a presumption of innocence, or of a limitation of trials and retrials. It was for reasons of administration and social order that England and the dominions went to war against France and why Waterloo was fought. The Netherlands is hamstrung by this legal system and so is Europe generally. The Fascist system and the Holocaust in Europe could be carried out because countries could arrest and detain without recourse to or control by the courts. These same countries are going to be all brought under an evil and unjust system which will become the controlling factor in social order under the European Union and ultimately the final World Order of what the Bible terms as the Beast system. It will cause the destruction of society and world freedom as we know it.
These changes are occurring and are being also made in the Commonwealth countries because the administration is deluded into thinking that it is all right for some people to control others, and that some people are not as good as they are.
This last week this attitude surfaced in Australia where an AMA authority claimed that it was necessary and desirable for doctors to have two waiting rooms; one for the wealthy and another for the poor. Now this attitude is at the heart of the social destruction of a people. It instills an attitude to life and the preservation of life in treatment based on social structure rather than need. The Bible is not based on such a view and the system of order is not based on such a view. This ultimately led to the segregation of Jews in Europe and Blacks in the US and elsewhere. It sends a mixed message to the society that practices it.
The basic problem in the deterioration in the ethical and moral structures of the world is that the Laws of God are being systematically undermined by people with agendas that run contrary to it and in justification of their disregard for those laws.
Our societies cannot survive under the gross misallocation of resource that
takes place under the current system. The USA is the most litigious society
on the planet. The courts are awarding massive amounts under litigation, so
much that it is now increasingly difficult to get insurance coverage in North
America. Worldwide insurance policies specifically exclude North America. It
is because no one goes to law justly. Litigation is seen as a means to funds.
The legal system is a non-productive cost on a society and should be controlled
by reasonable conduct and awards.
It is a well-known philosophic problem that a society that maximises individual rights, fails to maximise utility in the long run. The entire structure must operate on a theory of obligation and that system is advocated under biblical law.
For example in the case of homosexuality and lesbianism it should be obvious to the most simple that the society is based on a family that raises children in replacement of itself. There must be more than 2 children per family to keep a society healthy. The society must raise balanced and healthy individuals. The natural function of humans is for males and females to mate and raise the children in an environment of healthy role models. Children need good mother and father role models to maintain a healthy attitude and mental structure. The logical extension of the aberrant society is for the raising of children in a hostile environment where lesbians breed and hand children over to homosexuals when they are weaned. The aberrant prey consistently on the normal structure in order to increase. Once it becomes strong enough it undermines the normal to such an extent that the structure is unable to survive. The mental approach becomes untenable. Ultimately it has to be destroyed. This has been obvious to thinkers throughout the age and societies have limited or destroyed such behaviour. A world order of aberrant sexuality is untenable and will destroy the planet or be destroyed. Its hardly rocket science.
Why then does the USA and British Commonwealth have so much difficulty with that problem? The answer lies in our relationship with God and who we are. We were placed as the example nation under God as the personal force of Yahovah or the being we know as Jesus Christ (Deut. 32:8). We were the physical nation of Israel and the direct descendents of the man called Joseph. When we go bad we really go bad. God uses us among the nations as an example. There were two major figures in the history of the nation of Israel and that was the One True God who was Yahovah of Hosts and the subordinate elohim or deity, the Angel of Yahovah, (see the paper Angel of YHVH ( No. 24)) who appeared to man and spoke for God whom no man has ever seen. That being became a man and lived among us (see The Pre-existence of Jesus Christ (No. 243)). He explained and reinforced the aw he gave to Moses at Sinai (see also The Purpose of the Creation and the Sacrifice of Jesus Christ (No. 160)). Christ did not change the Law but rather died for us so that we might receive the Holy Spirit and through that understand and live it correctly (see the paper The Relationship between Salvation by Grace and the Law (No. 82)).
The nations were given a period of time to repent and be converted through the Holy Spirit. That time is now almost at an end. Soon God will intervene in the affairs of men and the order of the planet under the fallen host will come to an end. These aberrant practices will cease because men will understand and obey. The false teachers will be removed.
The planet will only survive through obedience to the Laws of the One True God whom no man has ever seen or can see (Jn. 1:18; I Tim. 6:16). He sent Jesus Christ so that we might have life and have it more abundantly. It is not a difficult problem to see that the planet can be saved through obedience. The obedience to the land laws and ownership structure under the Bible system will solve all manner of social problems. Each person will sit under their fig and vine, and no one will make him or her afraid.
The Bible tells us that mankind will bring the planet under this current system to the verge of extinction before it is all over.
We don’t have to go through it as we are told that we can repent. All of us are sinners but all of us can be forgiven and all of us can repent. If we repent and obey God we will be saved. We are promised that salvation. God will never leave us or forsake us. All we have to do is ask. Salvation in the Holy Spirit will be given to us in abundance.
We start first with repentance and a love of the truth. We get rid of false teachers and follow the Laws of God. By that fact we show we love God, and by keeping His commandments we also show we love one another.
His laws are not grievous but they have to be obeyed.
