To All
Hello Again,
This Friday as we prepare for the Sabbath, Dad is in important meetings and
needs all the support through prayer we can muster.
He had a good time in Malaysia enjoying a spiritually profitable time with the
brethren there. More have been baptised and ordained. He is to move into Africa
for further baptisms.
Christ says of the Church, "I know your works. Look, I have set before
you an open door, which no one is able to shut. I know that you have little
power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name."
We as a Church would love to have the resources to meet the physical requirements
of all people on the planet. We can't do that. There are many aid organisations
on the planet today working hard to meet that goal. There are organisations
who are set up to create housing, research cures for diseases, improve agricultural
technique and work at solving our huge environmental concerns. That is not our
mission. All we can do is work to have the truth put in all languages and make
it accessible to as many as we can, and baptise and ordain to give people the
power to go into their communities and develop the Church. The primary task
of the CCG has been to show error in thinking and practise in the mainstream
churches and to be a warning in the last days. This we have done and are doing
with great success. The translations are the most important work we can do.
This enables more and more people access and the opportunity to share in the
truth. There is very little we can do for the Churches around the world other
than give them the power to baptise and give them protection and encouragement
through prayer. When all is said and done it comes down to the individual and
his or her ability to work in the local community spreading the word and teaching
the importance of repentance, baptism and the Laws of God.
Dad's visits are very important. His lecturing at universities and talking in
the areas of the world allows us to see our work spread. Every year more and
more people hear and gain access to the message. They see how the word differs
from established practise and the inevitable consequence of their actions.
As members of this Church we have a remarkable opportunity to learn about history,
theology, philosophy, and culture. The Sabbath allows us the opportunity to
study and share understanding with others. Enjoy and relish in this opportunity.
We all can help in the work. It only takes three things to achieve anything:
confidence, common sense and method. Set the framework for these and we will
achieve all things. Our faith gives us confidence. The Holy Spirit gives us
common sense and the wise in the Church working together create the method.
It's a team effort.
Solomon stated: By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established;
by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches (SPIRITUALLY).
It's warriors are mightier than strong ones, and those who have knowledge than
those who have strength: for by wise guidance you can wage your war, and in
abundance of counsellors there is victory.
The message here is simple. Our strength lies in our understanding of truth
and in the love and respect of each other. We all have different skills and
we all have different weaknesses. Talk to each other. Listen to each other,
encourage and learn from each other. This way we will achieve our objectives.
No single person can achieve the mission of the Church. It takes the input and
efforts of all. Management comes from multiple people doing multiple things
on multiple levels, and all need to find their place.
Make sure you all go into the Sabbath smiling and excited about it. Pray for
the success and the health of all.
Storm Cox
