Dear Friends,
This Sabbath is the last one of the year. Next Thursday is the New Moon of the
New Year.
I thought that we might reflect on the subject of False Witness and the subject
of Guilt and Innocence.
It is written that You shall not bear false witness and that a false witness
shall not go unpunished.
I had the responsibility of reading a series of reports this week that were
constructed in such a way as to convey a completely false impression of a person
and to bring them into disrepute by lying directly and by omission.
Two weeks ago I was discussing this aspect of false information within our society
and I was given a recent example where a person was placing pressure on part
of the government structure and the police system was used against them to allegedly
construct a false file on the man's son with false records which had the effect
of destroying his character. The politician decided to expose the matter and
may God be with him in his efforts.
All too often now we believe what we read without question. The days of the
computer make it even easier to destroy character with relative impunity. I
have also noted the instances where those who claim to be Christians are in
fact the ones who abuse the freedom of our system doing that which is unacceptable
in any walk of life. So called Christians say and do things to one another that
would never be tolerated in any other walk of life. We have had to resort to
the courts on an increasing basis against those who claim Christianity as a
cloak for their unlawful actions. Paul warned us all against having to do that.
They should repent but do not when faced with the problems. Only when before
the courts do they admit their liability and ask for mercy but giving none to
their opposition.
I have said before that the European system under the old Napoleonic Code is
being touted among the English speaking people as the best way to go. The bureaucrats
are trying to persuade us that we don't need Habeas Corpus and that we should
be able to hold people without trial for long periods of time or even unlimited
periods of time. We are being told that we will have more efficient conviction
rates if we dispense with trial by jury. We are also told that we don't need
the presumption of innocence. We can compile records of people without convictions
and ruin their lives because it is more efficient. One should ask: For Whom
is it more efficient or desirable? Certainly not for the poor soul who is being
destroyed by it.
The English speaking people fought a civil war in the middle of the seventeenth
century under Cromwell to ensure the rule of justice in England and the Commonwealth.
We fought for two hundred years to ensure this insane European system of so-called
justice did not pollute our people and our administration.
I mentioned before that a public servant was on TV here some time ago explaining
why we could improve our conviction rates if we did away with trial by jury.
We still execute innocent men in the USA even using trial by jury. How bad would
it get without it? The public servant was heard explaining that we had 85% conviction
rate under magistrates and that dropped to 45% under jury. The argument was
that if we did away with jury trial and the presumption of innocence then we
could improve our conviction rate back to the 85% of the magistrates or words
to that effect. On that reasoning we could do a lot better if we simply declared
them guilty and dispensed with the trial altogether. That way we could have
100% efficiency in convictions if that is the yardstick of excellence. I know
a person who was charged in Algeria with an offence and was tried three times
for the same offence under this crazy French system of so-called justice. There
one is guilty until proven innocence and retrial is common. The result is rebellion
and injustice. We ruled the world for two hundred years and kept it free because
we were just and we were prepared to die to defend our own systems of justice.
The New World Order is destroying those systems systematically. We must be aware
of what is happening and not support them. Be aware of what is happening and
keep informed. Do not bear false witness and prove all things. Believe little
or none of what you hear and I am finding that you can not even believe half
of what you see.
A young man told me today that in all his married life his wife had never kept
one single promise she had made to him from the most simple to the more important.
Not one single promise was ever kept. I was deeply touched by that statement.
Let it not be so with us. Let your yes be yes and your no be no. Let none of
your words fall to the ground. How can marriage survive under such false pretence?
Look at the whole question of false witness. Do justice, for justice and righteousness
are one and the same thing. The Word for Justice in Hebrew is Tsedek and it
is the same word for righteousness. Adonai Tsedek means "Lord of Righteousness"
or "My Lord is Righteousness" and "My Lord is Justice".
You are all priests of the Most High God and your order is that of Melchisedek
which means My King is Righteousness and My King is Justice."
Do not bear false witness in all your works and keep the faith.
