HELPFUL HINTS The following hints are provided in the public
interest (the instructions are for Netscape but should be similar in other web browsers).
After viewing them, simply use your web browser's "back" button to
go back to the page you came here from, or use a link
at the bottom of this page.
Hints on printing on-line pages:
- Ensure the Toolbar is showing:
- If it isn't, select Options and click on Show Toolbar.
- You can move between viewed pages with the Back or Forward buttons.
- View the page or pages you are interested in.
- Click on the Print button or select File/Print... from the
menu bar.
- You can view as many pages as you wish before printing.
- Use the Back and Forward buttons to move between pages.
Now use your web browser's "back" button to go back to the page
you came here from, or use a link at the bottom of this
page.
Hints on saving on-line pages to disc:
- Ensure the Toolbar is showing:
- If it isn't, select Options and click on Show Toolbar.
- You can move between viewed pages with the Back or Forward buttons.
- View the page or pages you are interested in.
- Select File/Save As... from the menu bar.
- Saving as Plain Text (i.e. ASCII) will result in all formatting being lost; but
it will give you the text of the page.
- Saving as HTML Files will retain the formatting and will also include the HTML
codes (see next hint on viewing HTML files).
- You can view as many pages as you wish before saving.
- Use the Back and Forward buttons to move between pages.

Hints on viewing HTML files stored on your hard disc:
- Ensure the Toolbar is showing:
- If it isn't, select Options and click on Show Toolbar.
- You can move between viewed pages with the Back or Forward buttons.
- You can open the saved files in your web browser for viewing or printing.
- If you are using Word for Windows v.8 (Winword 97) or equivalent word processor, you can
open the files in Winword.
- If you are using earlier versions of Winword, you can obtain free of charge from
Microsoft's home page <www.microsoft.com> or from their offices an add-in called
Internet Assistant (select the version to suit your system either for Windows 3 or for
Windows 95). This will enable you to view the files from within Winword and, if you
wished, you could then save them as document files. Any extraneous code left could then be
deleted manually.
